This is probably a silly question but do you have to pay for Disney Dollars in cash or can you pay with debit or credit cards?

For our last trip I bought Disney Dollars at our local Disney Store-I used my Visa card.

What are Disney dollars?

They are Disney money you can buy at the Disney Store and spend at WDW. It's a fun way to save your vacation money or a great gift for kids for their birthdays or if they loose a tooth etc...so they can spend it at WDW.

It's equal value $1 for $1. There are different characters on it.

I buy them with any rolled money I accumulate or any unexpected money I earn.

Disney dollars is money that you use at Disney with disney pictures on them. It is used as cash, great for kids because they can't spend there money except at Disney.

You buy or exchange it at disney store or at the disney parks. We are going on the repo cruise so we have been buying disney dollars for over a year, and asking family to give us disney dollars for gifts. We now have over $500 to spend on the ship. I know we could also do this with cash, but I can't hold on to cash.

ok, i am confused about this. Let me ask the question another way. Do you buy the disney dollars? In other words, do you pay, say 11 dollars american for 10 dollars of disney dollars or do you go someplace on the disney property and give them 10 dollars cash and get 10 dollars in disney dollars in return?

You go to the Disney Store and if you have $10 you want to turn into Disney Dollars for your trip then you buy $10 in Disney Dollars. They are equal value.

Then you can bring those $10 Disney Dollars on your WDW vacation and buy whatever want at WDW and the value will be $10.

It's just another fun way to save money for a Disney vacation. Great gift for kids too, to buy their souvenirs with.

YES, you can pay with your debit card, or credit card, or check!

And yes, you can use the Disney Dollars like cash, if you have a 10 disney dollar bill and pay 4.50 for whatever item at disney store, or WDW, resort, park, you get your change back, is just like regular money.
