This might sound like a stupid question, but last time we were at WDW our DD was still in a pushchair and stayed with my Mum while we went on the big rides. Now our DS is 13 and DD 11 so we'll all be going on the rides together.

We can't remember whether there were lockers around the park, near the main rides, or just at the main entrance. We're hoping not to have too much to carry but there will always be the camera and video camera.

Any suggestions?

All the Disney rides allow you to take bags on I believe. There are lockers at the entrance to the parks.

Universal IoA has lockers to put your bags in near the rides. Lockers are at the entrance to IoA and Universal.

We had video and camera bags with us and didn't have a problem, we all use bum bags for money, cards, phone, etc. (and before we discovered purchase pick up at the entrance we even had carrier bags!!) Some rides have nets on/under the seats to store things in, and I'm sure we left carriers with the CM on Big Thunder Mountain.

IOA and US has lockers at some rides that you have to put your belongings in (Men in Black definitely). I think this is the same at Seaworld for Journey to Atlantis.

All parks are ok with the exception of Busch who get very emotional if you try to take any king of bag or camera on their larger rides. I suppose its about safety because it can't be nice being clonked on the head by a camera from 150 feet! In 2003 one of my friends caused an E-Stop on Montu as he was trying to film from the front seat on a very tiny digital camera. Despite his protestations about the camera being secure etc etc, he got a real public dressing down upon exiting.

I am VERY surprised in these days of high security that there are still lockers in the parks. Time and time again the scum have used these to cause the most damage to life and limb.

I was thinking the same about lockers. I remember in 2001, last time I was there, the lockers at Magic Kingdom were not open - has this changed? Last year at Disneyland they were open, but were the electronic type you had to pay for, like at Universal.
