As one citizen of the United States, I want to express my most sincere sympathies on the loss of life and injuries caused today in London by acts of these insane murderers.
As your PM said earlier today, this is not solely an attack on you, but on all of the civilized nations and peoples of the world.
My prayers go out to those families who have suffered the most aweful of losses, and to those injured.
There is no justification for these actions against your great nation, nor those inocent people going to work this morning. Godspeed to you all.

It will take a LOT more to break the brittish. They have been through more, and terrorism will not break them. My prayers go out to the families of the lost.
"We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."

Many prayers to all of those in Britain. A cowardly and deplorable act by a non-human species.
On behalf of the other London members, many thanks for your kind words of support. There are many fatalities - the exact number will not be known for some time.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. It really is the most awful atrocity and the news is changing hourly, the latest I heard there were 33 fatalities, just so dreadful and all the injuries too.
I used to live and work in London so watching the news made it so real for me as the places shown were so familiar. My best friend works in the City of London and she didn't respond to a text I sent her this morning so I called her and managed to get through at last. She is safe but said that in the streets outside her office it was chaotic and they had been told to stay in their offices as that was the safest place to be. At that time she had no idea of how and when she would get home - I'm just relived she's safe.
It does bring to mind 9/11. Bring these dreadful animals to justice as soon as possible.

May I thank all of our American friends for their kind words. At a time like this solidarity gives strength and this is something that these evil people will never take away from us no matter how many they injure or kill.
I would like to pass on my deepest sympathies to those whose lives have been affected by todays atrocities and hope that those responsible are brought to justice.

Been watching the coverage of the tragedy in London. So very sad. Want all the Brits to know our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Heartening to see the response of the British people. Saw hundreds of people walking home from the city on TV. The emergency services seem to be doing a terrific job.
I have read the three threads which are full of wonderful words of support from our american friends. It really touched me. I live in London and today I felt very proud of our emergency services and how everyone behaved. This discussion board represents what is good, honest and kind about the world. It is reassuring that we arent alone. Thank you all, we will get up tomorrow and go on. They cant win.

Really, really, really sorry about those despicable murders. I hope everyone in Great Britain, and especially London, realizes just how much love is coming their way now.
Londoners, as far as I am concerned you are the true descendents of the Blitz. I think Winston Churchill would have been proud of your "just get on with it" spirit today. You still have a lot to teach the rest of us about how not to let the terrorists win.

Firstly i would like to extend my prayers to Londoners who are still coming to terms with this unprecedented attack by a small minority of insane people, especially those who have been injured or have lost family members in this tragedy.
As an British Citizen I would like to thank all of you for you kind words, and would like to praise the emergancy services for their professionalism during the events that unfolded today. I have luckily not had any friends or relatives who were involved directly in the blasts today, though I have had contact with my university housemate who is presently at home, in London who has been caught up in the aftermath, he is in shock but determined to go about his daily business.
This attack will not deter me from continuing to visit our beautiful capital city as this would only help the terrorists to achieve their objective, we have managed to get though much worse than this and like those countries attacked in the past we will as a nation carry on as normal.
God bless you all.

Many of my American friends on this thread have said this much more eloquently than I, but please accept my heartfelt sympathy for this heart wrenching and senseless attack on your great country. While we may not always agree with our politicians and governments, there has been no greater ally through the years to the United States than Great Britain. I had to come out of lurking to give a show of support. I know it doesn't change anything, but it was consoling to see people in other parts of the world feeling for us before. I am offended by this act just as if it happened on our soil. SICK! SICK! SICK!
I'm so grateful it wasn't worse. The tube seems so vulnerable. I hope this wasn't practice for a bigger attack and this is the limit of those cowards' abilities. How horrible for those affected today and for those who have to travel through the city in fear.

Thank you so much for your kind words of support, we know that you will always be our allies through these difficult times.
I was proud to be a Londoner when we won the Olympics on Wednesday, and I'm even prouder today. As a nation and people we will carry on and be strong, the emergency services did a marvellous job and the way everyone dealt with this tragedy will show these heartless people that they will never ever win.
As they keep saying on the news,we made it through the IRA years, we made it through the Blitz, we're made of tough stuff here and we won't be bullied.

My heart goes out to you all.
When will these fools realize that these acts do not and will not break your spirit but only bring your country men closer togather. England has suffered many evil people in their nations history and has always preservered and conquered. You are a nation of proud and brave individuals who will overcome this tragic event also.
My prayers and thoughts are with you :grouphug:

I have been away from all communications over the last few days, but just returned home and the news in London was the first thing my husband gave me. My DD17 and I were in London just over a month ago and recognized some of the areas that were mentioned in the news. Our hearts and prayers go out to all who are affected by these unfortunate incidents. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo
