This is a non-Disney topic, so I will provide my email if anyone wants to contact me. I am from Ca and am going to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Jasper and Baniff at the end of Sept. Have never been to BC or Alberta and would love some advice more than just the guide book : )

Need a diriving route from Vancouver to either Calgary or Edmunton going through Jasper/Baniff, my hubby and I are just dying to go!

Don't worry, Jennifer. In some ways the Canadian Board is a bit like a Community Board, and we often talk about local things, including Canadian vacation destinations. You're free to post right here. I wish I could help, but, like Baboo, my trip west was WAY too long ago. Hope you'll get some good answers here from the folks in western Canada, though.

Jenn -- I cannot help you with a driving route but if you need any information on Vancouver, please ask away. However, I do know that CAA can put together a Triptik for you. It contains maps with a highlighted driving route that works best for you (whether scenic or shortcut). Hope that is helpful.

If you go to Vancouver, you HAVE to go at the wharf for, at least, one evening! It's the perfect place to relax and spend money. You have everithing thiere.
