Has anyone ever been to TrainWorld? We went there in 1997, and had the time of our lives! They have a large scale (G scale) model railroad display that is HUGE! And the best part is that they give you a list of things to find within the display. It's like a scavenger hunt! We spent at least 2 hours there, and it was so much fun!

We're planning another trip for late Sept-early Oct, and have worked it into our plans. Just curious if others have enjoyed it as much as we have.

For anyone who's interested, it's located at 8990 International Dr. in Orlando. They are open 7 days a week, from 10a-7:30pm. Their phone number is 407-363-9002.

I don't know why they don't have a web site. They also have a smallish retail store too with train/model railroad stuff. But it's the huge layout that you can do the "scavenger hunt" on. The winner of your group gets a free ride on a train that goes around the outside of the building. It is great for all ages, but since the layout is raised, you would need to carry really little tots or pre-schoolers. Schools do field trips here too, so if that helps you. Kids really get a kick out of the details that are in this layout. It's truly amazing!
