Last time I was at Disney was two years ago and I'll be going back there in less than a month. My family and I love the beaver tails in Epcot but I heard that you can no longer get beaver tails anywhere. Is this true? Also what are your favorite snacks at Disney that we could try?

I have never tried the bever tails but have heard you can no longer get them, but it wouldn't hurt to ask when you are at the Canadian pavillion but I hear another good substitute would be the zebra dome that can be bought at the AKL @ Mara. I like the frozen bananas covered in chocolate, the turkey legs!

My favorite treats are the gourmet cookies with the blue ribbon on them. For the life of me I can't remember the brand name at this point, but I've only seen them at WDW. I especially like the chocolate chip and the white chocolate/macadamia cookies. My DW loves the rice krispies treats and the chocolate covered strawberries, but those little suckers are like $3 a pop!!!

Oh, and who could forget the delicious Dole Whip from Adventureland? YUM! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Huh - are your coupons specifically for Epcot, or for Beaver Tails generally? If the latter, well, I know of a few Canadians who would gladly take those off your hands! :earsboy:

I believe I recall when this new broke, it wasn't a Disney decision, but a problem with the supplier.

Perhaps its just as well. I loved the beavertails but they started sucking once they stopped frying them to order and had them pre-done and ran them through a heater. blech.

Here are my fav Epcot treats;

Kaki Gori in Japan - get the rainbow flavor of this upscale snowcone
Rice Cream in Norway
Just about anything from the bakery in France

And you can't beat a pineapple/vanilla swirl dolewhip from MK.

I loved Beaver Tails too. But Trader Bob's or whatever the card was called is not shuttered up tight.

I never understood Disney's explanation. They said it had something to do with trouble importing the ingredients from Canada, but that they were looking into an alternate supplier and hoped to bring Beaver Tails back eventually. That was nearly a year ago.

I always wondered, why did they need to import all the ingredients from Canada? I think the recipe is simple enough to use American ingredients, as long as they stick to the original recipe and use Canadian CMs to cook them!

personally, I feel the pulled beaver tails because the kiosk was just not making enough $$$$..

everytime we went to stand, we were the only ones requesting the "tails".
there was never a line ....ever.

financial issue in my opinion.
did they actually think we would believe they couldn't get oil, dough and syrup, etc... from the states?????
