Hi, Im not sure if I am allowed to ask here so I apologieze before hand if I've asked something I shouldn't have.
Anyway we are hoping to return to florida August 2007, whilst we were there we had a look around the fab dvc resorts Saratoga springs etc, anyway basically would have loved to have purchased but just not the right time for us.
Basically can we ask if we can purchase points to stay at a resort say for 1 week from someone who owns a piece of the magic and who does not need those points for that year or wishes to carry them over. A studio apartment would be big enough, but ovbiously we would be interested in whatever.
Would love to hear from anyone if this is possible, if not and this is not allowed please accept my apologieze.
Thankyou

Hi!
No need to apologize. If you don't ask, you'll never know! ;)
Basically you need to ask on this board here or on the DVC rent/trade board on the US side if anyone has any points available for rent. You'll need to be more specific about when and where you want to stay. Different dates of the year 'cost' more/less points (and 2007 points won't be out yet). Also, the member can only book 11 months from the date of your check-out for their home resort or 7 months for any other DVC resort. It would probably be easier to ask for points on this board as it'll be easier to deal with the money-side of things etc.

Hope it goes well! :flower:

As Rox says, it's definitely okay to ask that, and to do it!

The US DVC rent/trade board is much more active than this one, but the logistics of making an arrangement with someone in the US are obviously a little less straightforward than finding a UK DVCer who could rent points to you.

Good luck with your plans!
