Just got back from 2 weeks OKW / VB (by the way the word there is they will sellout sometime in the Spring) and as I was wandering around looking at DVC stuff I came back here again (it has changed a lot since last I looked!:sunny:

I dont know how much (if at all) DVC people look at the postings here but what about a DVC European resort (and not at Marne-la-Valle I could not think of anything worse !).

The obvious sport would be Spain or Portugal where you could do a very good HH/VB clone with all the Golf courses around and in the right spot the weather is good most of the year (and no Hurricanes!)

Lets hear it for Europe!

Given the less than blinding success of Vero and HH ( although they are both FINE resorts) I don't think you'll see ANY DVC resorts built outside of WDW.

IMHO the competition in those parts of Europe would be just TOO tough to give Disney a decent enough profit margin and the added " brand name value" isn't strong enough to sell it here.

It's a nice thought but Americans wouldn't buy in sufficient numbers and Europeans would go for cheaper options JMHO.

By the way Ian, if you didn't know we now have a UK version of this site as well , it can be found at
