We just got back from Disney and are curious about Bonnett Creek Resort. It appears to be a non-Disney resort on Disney property.
Does anyone have additional information?

Fairfield timeshare.....I would buy one if you paid me. Fairfield lied to me about what they were going to be offering down there when we attended a lecture in Nashville a couple of years ago. I don't like being lied to about anything, let alone about a big ticket purchase like a timeshare. Maggie

The Bonnet Creek development is supposed to eventually have 4 high end hotels, a timeshare resort and an 18-hole golf course. So far, only the timeshare resort has been built (first phase - the second phase will open within a year). Here's the webpage for the Fairfield Resorts map (https://www.fairfieldresorts.com/ffr/resort/search.do). Click on Florida, then on Fairfield Orlando at Bonnet Creek Resort to see more details.
Here's a webpage where rentals at this resort are offered. They have a great photo gallery (http://bonnetcreek.com/bcgallery/Bonnet-Creek) of the timeshare property but it doesn't do it justice, IMHO. Since we're owners of Fairfield points elsewhere in the system, we stopped by to look at this resort the last time we were in Orlando. Our family thought it was just beautiful, very inviting, and we'd love to stay there on a future trip! :)

I don't believe it is on Disney property - seems to me I read somewhere that this was the only parcel not owned by Disney. Boy, won't those people be mad if they think they are getting "on-site" perks with a stay there?

Oh, Fairfield told me that the people that would be buying there would get front of the line access at every WDW attraction and would enjoy discounts on all the merchandise at WDW. Needless to say, my BS detector went off immediately. I called them on it, they swore it was true. :rolleyes1 Maggie

Oh yeah, they get front of the line access, but if you stay on site, annual passholder and own DVC you don't? Yeah I'm buying it. :confused3

Yep! The rep we talked to told us that they are going to run the Monorail to Bonnet Creek. I asked him why would Disney run it to a non Disney resort before they would run it to a Disney resort or park. He had no answer. He also told us we would have use of all Disney Transpertation from that resort. I hate to be lied to. Thank goodness we know better.
My in-laws owned in Fairfield and wanted to sale. They have been having trouble gettig rid of it so they pretty much gave it to us. To us it is better than nothing.

Dreams4disney, since you now own with Fairfield, I hope you'll enjoy the best of it. If you'd like to learn how to get the most out of a Fairfield ownership, consider joining the Yahoo Group for FF timeshare owners, Fairfield_Timeshare (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Fairfield_timeshare/). You may be surprised to learn some of the great ways to stretch your points and get several great vacations out of just a week's worth of points. We have loved it! Hope you enjoy it too! :)

Leaving MGM Studios or Boardwalk headed for Downtown Disney on Buena Vista Drive you pass Caribbean Beach and at the next light is Bonnet Creek's entrance.
Yep! The rep we talked to told us that they are going to run the Monorail to Bonnet Creek.
If Fairfield offered to extend the monorail to Bonnet Creek with a stop that Disney could connect its buses to, and with usage terms that Disney liked, that monorail would be built quite quickly.
Fairfield could get Disney Transportation and Magical Express for Bonnet Creek(which benefits they don't currently have) All Fairfield has to do is pay for the benefits and there would be a profit for Disney.

Many cities and town all across the U.S. get developers to make infrastructure improvements that are a contribution to the community.

I did a timeshare presentation at bonnet Creek and thought the furnishings inside the units were very nice. And big. The smallest is a one bedroom, and it is quite large.
Because they just have 2 buildings open, it is hard to get into. But if I had a choice between staying there or 'offsite' (altho it is not on Disney prop, it is right next door to CB)...I'd stay there in a skinny minute.
