Hi,
I am new to the world of purchasing airfare online.I am in the market for airfare. for a WDW trip in May 2002.
I want to know if you purchase airfare(e-ticket) online do you get any printable confirmation of the flight or anything to document you have actually bought a ticket. Afraid the airline wont have record of my purchase if something goes wrong. I always like a copy of my conf. for hotel stays.... just to be sure.I would feel better if i had a receipt or something. for airfare. Any info. would be great.Thanks,Debbie-Indiana

Usually if you purchase on-line you will get a confirmation page at the end of your purchase and you print this out as your confirmation. Recently I redeemed frequent flyers over the phone and just got a mailed confirmation number - no tickets. Last year, traveling on e-tickets on US Air we never even had to check in - they had a computer where you typed in your eticket number and it printed your boarding pass...hadn't seen that before.

Every airline should give you some sort of confirmation. Delta sends an e-mail, then also mails your e-ticket sheet to you. That is if purchased at Delta.com, I don't know about confimations when purchasing through expedia, etc.

yes expedia sends email confirmation too. just print out anything that you book and take that with you.
