Hi all,
Anyone stayed here before? It's supposed to be 4 miles from Gatwick.
Any feedback, good and bad appreciated.
We've had a quote for £69 for a family room (2 adults, 2 children) which seems quite good to me. I prefer the convenience of staying at the airport but I'm quite happy to give the Ramada a try for a change.
Thanks :)

We stayed there a couple of years ago, and did like it, just not as much as our onsite stays at the Le Meridien. We did that the following the year and never looked back.
I recall our shuttle to the airport took around 20 mins the following morning at about 8:30, which isn't too bad, but it's just more of a hassle. Also, the inconvenience of being in the middle of nowhere the night before (I don't know the area, but that's what it felt like!) was a bit of a drag. We were basically both confined to the room when our 3 yr old went to bed. We couldn't both go downstairs to eat, so I think we may have even resorted to one of us getting in the car and hunting down a McDonald's (yuk). I don't recall whether room service on offer, or whether the choice was too limited. I just much prefer being able to go and wander around the airport and take advantage of the shopping and restaurants.
I seem to recall there was a pool at the Ramada (?) but we never used it - too much to think about packing separate swimming stuff etc!
We had a parking package with the Ramada, and that was also a bit of a drag because it was way off site, and when we came home, it was quite a drive to go and pick the car up.
That sounds like a good price though, so I suppose it's a matter of weighing everything up!
