that you are in Disneyland?

What do you do first? What sight, sound, smell is what makes you say, "Now I am in Disneyland?"

For me, it is when I hear and see Fantasyland. Peter Pan, The Teacups and "The Very Merry Un-Birthday" from Alice in Wonderland and FL isn't even my favorite 'land'. NOS and Critter Country are my favorites.

How about you?

When I walk from the tram to the gates, and hear the Disney music all around, and see the excited children, I can already feel Disneyland. But, once through the gates, with the floral Mickey in front, people taking pictures with characters, and the DL band playing. I feel that I am already in Disneyland. :D

Walking near the ticket booths and the Monorail "whooshes" overhead, then look up to see the train at the Main Street Station as it blows it's whistle.

For me, the magic starts as soon as I see the signs on I5. :) :) :)

I'm an east coaster and have only had two trips to Disneyland. The last time we went we stayed in the Best Western right across the street and I felt like I was In Disneyland everytime I started to cross Harbor Boulevard to go into the front gate. We never could get all the way across on one light (has anyone else noticed this?) and would stand on the median waiting for the light to change, but I still felt like I was already there. Man, I love that place!!!
