I'm with you! Maybe all us Aussies on the board here could start a petition to send to the imagineers.... but lets put it somewhere other than Queensland, that place is saturated with parks as it is....

Oh how I pray for that day - I so miss only having five hours to fly to reach Disney (I'm an ex Brit) - but I'm all for it on the Gold Coast. We already call it Queenslando - and I'm going on Thursday, yeeeehooooooo.

Here's a link to an actual rumor that Disney may be considering a Down-Under park: Link (http://www.etravelblackboard.com/index.asp?id=39307&nav=21).
Naturally, it doesn't actually say what the source it, but I thought you all might get a kick out of it. This is the first time I've seen this rumor

One problem is the current population of Australia is slightly over 20 million and it covers an area fairly close in size to the contiguous USA. In other words it doesn't have a population big enough to support such a complex.

Ah, but there's also 4 million Kiwis and I'm sure there's a few penguins in antarctica that could do with a holiday!! Not to mention the fact that Aus, not so far from Asia, so I'm still hoping.
