Phone just rang and rang at Disney Dine!

I just tried to phone and make some PSs and after listending to the recording, was told the call was being forwarded to the next available "attendant".

No being put on hold and listening to Disney music, the phone just rang and rang. Anyone else had this happen?

I tried twice, first pressing 4 for Disney Dining, the second time I chose to wait for the next available person at the end of the first recording.

This is the first time I've tried to make a PS at DL, used to having a toll free number to call down to WDW!

Ugh! I had this same problem when we were in Disney. I didn't make any PS arrangement until we got there, I didn't know what our schedule was going to be so I held off on making them. I never did have a problem with not getting in anywhere. It was frustrating though to get through on that dining line. I would hang up and call right back and sometimes I'd get lucky and I wouldn't have to wait at all? Not sure why that was?

What I did if I waited too long, I would call down to the hotel operator and ask to be transferred to *so and so* then I'd get that operator and would ask to speak with someone in *dining place* and to NOT put me through to the dining line. They'd always comply. I was always sure to ask what characters were going to be there, if it were for a character meal, and they were able to tell me.

Yes, that's the number I called, Cherie.

I'm going to try again today and hopefully it will go through. At least I now know that someone else has had a problem too, Meagan and it's not just me!

I had the same problem a couple of months ago when I tried to make PS for Blue Bayou.
The phone just rang and rang. I thought maybe I had misdialed as every other time I've called Disney there was at least a recording that would pick up. So I hung up and called again. It did the same thing. After staying on and hearing way too many rings someone did pick up. Just stick with it and someone will eventually answer.
I don't know why they don't have a recording for this number, tho.

This happened to me, too. Twice, as a matter of fact. But after all that ringing, I did get connected to a "please hold" recording for 15+ minutes before talking to a real person. Good thing that I have free long distance minutes to burn on me cell phone!

Hey, I just got all my PSs!!! The phone rang several times before being picked up by the Dining recording....I was only on hold a few minutes, got the message that there was a "high volume of calls and thanks for continuing to hold" about 3 times, before a Cast Member answered!

I was surprised that all I had to give was my name and phone number and that no confirmation numbers were given. She just said that I was "all set"!

I've got Napa Rose, Goofy's Kitchen and Blue Bayou PSs. I think I'll play the rest by ear.
