Hi all! Just wanted to let everyone know that I found Crocs at the Roots store this week-end. I told myself I'd never buy a pair, until I tried them on.... perfect for those of us in health care :goodvibes

I had heard that Roots were carrying them but I thought they weren't actually 'crocs'...? I'd love to know if they are the real thing! Thanks!

Not sure about Roots but I bought mine at Sport Check last week for 29.99. Not bad considering the copy cat ones at Payless are the same price

COOL! I will have to check that out!
Online with sportchek it is not showing up yet. What style did you get there? I would like the sandles.
Thanks!

I'm heading to the only shopping mall in Ottawa(ottawa-newbie kows which one I'm refering to) that has both a Roots Store and a Sports Check. I'll let you know what I find.

I found nothing but bait and switch at Sport Check so we walked out. Roots had Crocs (the real deal) in red, black and blue for $29.99. Since I already have white and black knock offs, I went for the blue Crocs. They are so comfortable, my feet are smiling. :goodvibes I have 2 pairs of the Payless knock offs and 1 pair of real Crocs and I have to say, I prefer the real Crocs. They fit my feet better and seem to have more arch support. They simply feel sturdier than the knock offs.

Actually the ones at Payless are on sale for $19.99. They're made by Airwalk. Not all Payless stores carry them, though.

Pixie, I bought mine from a local uniform distributor. (Navy blue, as they match most of my scrubs for work) I'm addicted after only one week!
They were a little more expensive ($33 I think) but they had every color and can order in more. I'm going to ask if they can get the sandal version on order and perhaps the thong style when they come out. :) Let me know if you want the name of the place.

I was in Niagara on the Lake today and a ladies shop carried every colour under the sun of Crocs. They were $38.99.

I am a bit confused because they said Made In Canada on the bottom and the website I just looked at said they were made in the US???

I don't know if they are the same but they look the same.

Funny, I tried a pair on and boy were they comfortable but one lady was looking at me and said that I may think they are comfortable but boy are they ugly!!!! Ha Ha

Just one of the companies that makes Crocs is in Canada. Crocs are also made in China and Italy.

The Canadian company that makes Crocs also makes the same shoes only sold under other names:
Rebound (Shopper's DrugMart)
HoleySoles (www.holeysoles.com or ca not sure)...to name a few

I tried some on the other day. My feel were absolutely swimming in them but they were the right length. They'd fit well if my foot was in a cast!!!! I guess they aren't for everyone!

Apparently, Crocs are being sold at SPORTING LIFE, not Sportchek! They have the Baby Blue ones too.

They are also at Sport Chek. I tried them on the other day. The are hanging up in plastic bags, not displayed on the wall like other sandals.

I bought mine at Sport check for 29.99. They are comfortable, however does anyone else find that without socks that your feet start to sqeek after a while.

I haven't notice, I'll have to check that out. I think if they did, DH would have said something by now, he picks up that sort of thing quickly. He has noisy shoes.

My mom hates her crocs she says they make her feet sweat like crazy and they hurt her bunyan or something like that she also thinks they are ugly but she figured she would give them a try her report is after a week of wearing them they are going to the good will.
