shipping US purchases to disney resort?

Because there are so many great deals available to US addresses but not to Canadian ones I was wondering if I was to order stuff say- cheap jewellery on ebay the day before my trip and have it sent to my resort (two week stay so I wouldn't have to worry to much about missing it) to avoid the $60.00
shipping plus charges and just bring the stuff back with me. Has anyone done this? Would it work? I mean if people can send groceries to themselves... Please any thoughts appreciated.

The only issue I have had trying this is if it is from a company etc they want the shipping to be to the billing address on the CC. So if you are paying via CC then you will have to get it shipped to the house or address the bill goes to. If you pay via pay pal I think you are safe.

I've bought many items and had them shipped to my in laws in St. Pete's. I've never encountered a problem using my Canadian CC.

We were down in late May and ordered from Amazon.com a week before we left. It arrived one day before we arrived and the front desk kept it for us until we got there.

I just put our arrival date as part of the shipping address because it allows 3 lines for the address:

Mrs. XXXXXX
c/o Disney Polynesian Resort
123 Disney Way
Arriving 05/23/05
Orlando, Florida

That way the front desk knew who it was for and when it was arriving.

I highly recommend having it shipped a little early rather than taking the chance it will not arrive in time for your departure.

Thank you, yes, I would be using paypal. I also figure if I order from olrlando premium outlets som of the cheap pins I can surprise my mother when we get there! :goodvibes
