I am taking a trip with 17 other family members this December. We will need at least one minivan to rent. Anyone know who might be cheapest or if it would be better to just take a limo - if so any special company in particular? Many thanks in advance!

How about trying to rent one of those really large vans. I think they are Dodge Ram vans, and they hold quite a few people. That may work out better for you financially.

The extended Ram holds no more than 12 passengers, my company owns one. Eighteen in one vehicle would probably require a small bus, the size that the off-site car rental companies use to shuttle people to lots. Out of curiousity, I looked around a little, and I found a site that advertises airport transfers for up to 25 people on a minibus for $200 r/t http://www.accesstours.com/news.htm

If there are a number of adults and you want something you can drive yourself, you'll probably get a better deal using 3 smaller vehicles, if you can find coupon or group rates that you are eligible for. Besides, that way you will have a lot more flexibility to split up when you want to.

You could try Hotwire.com if you want to rent a car(s). I got a great rate from them.

You could try Priceline:
research first at
http://www.biddingfortravel.com

Also could try Hotwire:
http://www.hotwire.com

Both of these will give you non-cancellable reservations at the company of their choice.

Or for regular car rental coupons:
