I'm 47 and live in Seattle, He's 48 and lives in Houston and we're meeting at Territory Lounge at WL. Sounds like fun to me too! :flower:
And the two of you have never met? No kids going down right?? Sounds like romance is in the air! Good for you!! :)

Actually he's taking his DD18 and DGD 15 months, and I'm taking my DS18 for his graduation present, so our kids are old enough to take care of themselves. We met on the single parent meets thread. Not sure about romance but being able to get together for drinks sounds like a good start!
I hope yo enjoy yourself! And did you let your DS know about the sock on the door knob trick. If there is a sock on the knob.. don't come in!!
Have fun!! :)

I met up in May with someone. It worked out fine enough. There were some alcohol induced sparks, but they simmered once sober. He didn't understand that I wanted to spend time with my adult family members who i met up with there, but that's ok. We had a good time and I think blind dates from the Dis are a great idea!

I actually had a guy's sister play 'his wing man' and he saw me and wanted to meet me, so it was sort of a blind date, she approached me and said her brother wanted to take me to dinner (of course this happened at PI) and I agreed (of course she pointed him out to me, across the bar lol, I'm not stupid) and it ended up being a pretty decent date, and a great four days following, then about 4 months after that....long distance is really hard! :smooth:

'least you already have 2 things in common!!! DIS and Disney!!! :goodvibes
hmmm good point! The dates that I have had since being on my own-well.... none of them had ever been to Disney, one never even heard of Disney! if you can believe that! A few said that they loved to travel & when I asked where they had been etc-their last vacation was 5 or 6 yrs ago! Now I dont call that loving to travel! Yes It would be nice to "share" Disney & the DCL with a SO that loves it as well-I would think that it would be very romantic.

I would not date someone I met online, but I know other people have done so and I have met people (friends I have never met IRL) from this board in the past and had a great time.
If you want to go on a date with someone from the DIS, go for it. I'd say if you are going to date someone you meet online, WDW is probably one of the safest places to meet up!
Have fun,
Sheri
