How to use a Disney pin binder/bag?

Ok, go easy on me! I'm 'very' new to pins.

Just bought a Disneyland black binder/bag thing that has clear flexible plastic sheets separating black felt soft sheets.

I think the pins should be placed on the black sheets, with the clear sheets protecting.

My DH thinks the reverse. Who is right?

And what do you do with all the pin backings/cards they came on? Do you save them if you ever want to trade? Is that important to keep?

It can be done either way. If you put them on the plastic sheets, it is possible to see any identifying marks, such as LE size, without removing the pin. The important thing is that you don't want metal-to-metal contact so some separation is necessary.

Most people don't save them. There are some pins where there is a non-standard background, such as from the Flower and Garden Festival, where the card is a picture that the pin fits into.
