I took delivery of my new phone about 2 weeks ago - a Motorola v980 with 3G, on the Vodafone network.
But I've had nothing but problems with it!!!! Had the handset checked - Vodafone say it's perfect. The main problems seem to be network related. According to Vodafone I should have excellent 3G coverage where I live, but at home I seem to just have either 2G or 2.5G. When I go to work I have 3G. The problem seems to be that when I'm moving between 2G and 3G, it takes ages - all my calls go straight to voicemail, and I can't make calls or send texts - I need to switch off my phone and switch it on again - in order to register with the network.
The next problem is the battery - all this roaming seems to take it's toll on the battery. I need to charge it every night, because the battery drains within 24 hours.

Just wondered if anyone else had a 3G phone - and do you have any problems with it? :confused3

My dad had a 3G phone and hated it. He's not the most technologically minded of people so what he was doing with such a phone is beyond me but he ended up dropping it in the bath by accident and getting a non-3G Samsung E800 instead!

I just rang him and asked him what he hated about it and he said it was the battery (it was always dying and he could never remember to charge it  ) and he also had problems with the coverage. He said that he could never get enough to make a call and all incoming calls jumped to voicemail. This was about 4 months ago that this happened so I thought they'd have sorted out all the problems by now, but obviously not! :sad2:
