Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays when the park opens (Note that Disney gives us conflicting info, but several have assured me that these are the correct days for Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness)

Toontown typically opens an hour after Disneyland opens. Guests may enjoy Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness an hour before Toontown opens to the general public. Guests have the opportunity to meet and greet some of their favorite Disney Characters. The Mayor of Toontown, Mickey Mouse, leads a comical ceremony in which everyone becomes a citizen of Toontown - and that's when the madness begins!

How to get Magic Morning & Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness

For Magic Mornings you must have a 3+day park hopper bonus ticket that you have purchased either online, through Disney Resort Hotel service, Walt Disney Travel Company, or through an agency that books through Walt Disney Travel Company (like Dreams Unlimited Travel). Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels can also take advantage of Magic Morning each day it is offered.

In order to get Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness you must book through the Walt Disney Travel Company or an agency who books through them, and stay at a DLR hotel or Good Neighbor hotel.

Thank you very much Mary Jo for the great info. This will definitely be very useful for my upcoming trip. Would you recommend a Tues., Thurs., OR Sat. early entry? I thought Tues. might be best but I am not sure. Also you mentinoned it is offered thru a 3 day hopper pass. Does this apply to a 5 day hopper pass as well?

Monica. :sunny:

They're good for 3 days or more - need to be hopper plus passes. The only reason I do not recommend a Saturday is because there are more tourists on the weekends who are apt to take advantage of Early Entry, and in my opinion, would cause longer lines than on a Tuesday or Thursday.

I recommend Tuesday or Thursday, but if I were to pick one day, it would probably be Thursday. People might leave on a Tuesday, and want to take advantage of EE, but people getting in on Thursday wouldn't really use it until Saturday or Monday -- at least, that's my take on it.

So is early entry no longer available to guests of the DL resort (without park hopper passes)? We have annual passes this year, so we won't need park hoppers.

How would you know if your tickets HAVE an EE or TTM special (just by looking at them that is?)

EE is in small print on back and bottom of passes, MTM are separate coupons sent in package with passes

Thanks, Mary Jo, for the great info.

I'm visiting DL for the first time before leaving on the August repo cruise, and we'll have both EE and Toontown Madness available, but I think Thursday is the only day I have available to use them. (We arrive on Tuesday morning but we're leaving Saturday morning.)

Is it possible to use them both on the same day? If so, how do I do it? The EE part seems easy, but where do we go for Toontown Madness?

Thanks so much for any assistance you can provide ~ I LOVE this forum! (I've been lurking here for months, but finally posted here.)

Mary Jo or any one else-
After you answer mississaugamom question, I would appreciate your assistance as well on EE and MTM mornings.

My family (DH, myself, DD11, DS6, DD2 and DM) will be at DL September 21-25 staying at the GC, though we will not arrive until late evening on that Wednesday, so our first day at the parks will be on Thursday. Since we will be at the resort both Thursday and Saturday, should we do EE on one day and MTM on the other (and if so which one on which day)? or should we try to do them both together on the same day?

I was leaning toward doing one on Thursday and the other on Saturday just because I am thinking it would not be a very efficent use of an EE morning, when we could be riding rides without huge lines, to spend in Toontown, especially when we have an early time that we could use another day, but not really experienced so my thinking could be WAY off.

BTW-When we went on our Disney cruise in December, my youngest (15 months at the time), wasn't afraid of the characters but was somewhat shy with them. My older two like to see the characters and get autographs again, but since we have two character meals planned where they could get them, would probably rather rides the rides than wait in long lines for character autographs in the park.

Any assistance would definitely help in planning.

Hey, Arlene :)

Yes, you can use them on the same day. Fantasyland will open an hour before Disneyland does, and when Disneyland officially opens, you can then go to Toontown, because it normally doesn't open until an hour after DL opens.

Packing up and flying home tomorrow. The wife says we have EE at MTT, we are staying at hotel a couple of blocks away from the main entrance.

1. What time would the EE at MTT be if the park opens at 0800.
2. Where do you enter TT and how would you get there if you are staying on Clementine st?

Thanks for all the help. You would think at my age and the kind of work I do I would be mellow about the whole thing.
I can not wait.

Sound normal to me :)

Toontown would open at 8am -- it opens for the public at 9am.

From Clementine, you'd either take the ART shuttle or walk - it's about a 15 minute walk to the Disneyland entrance.

Have a great time!

EE is available for all guests staying at one of the Disney hotels.

Also, they now do EE with the monorail as well as the park entrance (I will verify this when I am back next week).

I also understand that these policies are subject to change at any time.

No - only at Disneyland, though many say that DCA opens a half hour early & you can go on Soaring Over California - I haven't done this myself.

Yes, if you are staying at Grand Californian Hotel, Disneyland Hotel, or Paradise Pier Hotel, you can do EE, even if you just have a 2-day or even 1-day ticket. You will need to show a paper that they give you that shows the dates you are staying at the hotel.

We got in the DCA line at about 9:25AM for a 10AM opening, were thru the gates at 9:33 and went straight to Soarin'. We got off Soarin' at about 10:05.

I have heard that if you stay at GCH (and maybe PP and DL Hotel as well), they let you in to DCA and Soarin at 9:15AM on a 10AM day.

I would also add that EE is only guaranteed if you have a parkhopper ticket, and that is only for one of your days at DLR. They just started allowing DLR hotel guests in for EE, but that is not widely publicized and could change at any time.

I have an odd question, my boyfriend and I purchased a package that included EE to Fantasyland and Toontown.

Now, a friend of ours is comming with us and we CAN'T add him to the package.

If I order his ticket through the Disneyland website, do I still get EE to Fantasyland and TT?

or is it something that just comes with special packages?

I suppose in short I'm asking, can you purchase a 3 day park hopper bonus ticket with out a package?

We did get EE for every day it was offered with our stay at DLH. In fact, we arrived at 6:45 AM on Saturday for our DLH stay, and we were able to pre-register and use EE on that day, as well as the Monday we were leaving.

You can use the monorail for EE entry, and it is nice because it takes you directly into Tomorrowland. If you make the first train, you will most likely be the first group in Tomorrowland.

And I can also verify the 'tour' of DCA that is offered to GCH guests, with the ability to ride the first ride of Soarin'.

It is unofficial. They can change it at any time. There are rumors the test will end in Sept., and other rumors it will end in Nov. You should not plan to do EE if you are DLR hotel guest, as you might be disappointed. The only sure bet is to get the parkhopper bonus ticket.

Hi from Calgary, Mississaugamom. I asked this question a few months ago on this forum and someone very smartly observed that it's actually better to use them on the same day because then you'll already be in the park at the time TTMM begins, which puts you that much closer to TT (instead of entering with all the other folks and having to cross the park to get to it).

Thought this was great advice, so I wanted to pass it on. :earsboy:

I actually choose to use them on separate days and it did work better.. I think. I didn't miss ANY of the ceremony and due to this forum knew the best place to stand ;).
I got the the maingate at 7:45 and was at Toontown at 8:10, I stopped and got Buzz Lightyear FP's and had to wait for my Sister with the stroller, she meandered... LOL, I would have been there about 8:05 if it was just me with the stroller. The ceremony starts about 20min after the hour. The only benefit I saw to going earlier than I did would have been to do some of the toontown activities before the ceremony. As it was we got a pick with Minnie, my DS age 3 1/2 didn't want pics with the other characters, the lines were moving fairly quickly. But we went on Gaget's Go Coaster 3 times, then walked around checked out Chip and Dales playhouse, Donald's boat where he promptly triped and hit his head on the steering wheel in the pilot house!
Goofy's Bounce house wouldn't let me sit inside the room with the CM so we skipped that, and went to check out the other fun stuff, we didn't rid RR but the rest of our party did, we also checked out the Gag Factory. Then headed to another part of the park.
I put this on our last day of the parks, so I would make sure to get in the rides we most wanted to do.. Fantasyland and Tomorrowland the first day - with our EE. The toontown day I scheduled the other lands, NO, CC, Frontierland, and Adventureland. I would have been able to complete the schedule and have gone on everything if I hadn't lost my wallet, or if my Dad's foot hadn't started hurting,... so he had to walk slow, I felt so bad for him! I missed Tom Sawyer's Island and Tarzan's Treehouse, but did get in Reindeer Roundup, Aladdin and Jasmine's Storytime, Starcade and rode Buzz 4-5times! We got to the parks at opening and left about 6:30-7:30pm everyday.. DS and I.

Not true as of 1/16/06
We stayed at DL Hotel and have AP's and we were allowed to do the early entry. I even called to make sure (as I did not want to get up and be there at 8:00 if I could not get in) and the CM told me that ALL the DLR hotel guest are eligible for early entry. We took the monorail over and really enjoyed that extra hour! :)

ok basically I have been following this post and the other posts regarding EE days...I think there is major confusion going on here..everybody who books a package or tickets that is from WDTC (and remember most of the travel companies like dreams unlimited, etc. use WDTC) are eligible for 1 EE on any day it is offered.. but it is not for multiple times during your stay...even if your staying on property you have to have a parkhopper pass 3+ or more days...you can choose from Mon, Tues., Wed. Thurs., or Sat...I think people are misunderstanding what the actual question is...If you call any of the onsite properties and ask if you can use EE on multiple days and/or if you are staying onsite they will tell you no...hope this clears up some confusion

Early entry is available to all guests staying at a Disney Hotel. Ticket type does not matter or who you booked with. I just got off the phone and that is what I was told. You do not need a 3 (or longer) day hopper. You do need the white paper you get when you check in to show your dates coincide with the date you are trying to enter.

We used it on multiple days.

With the 3+ day Park Hoppers purchased through a WDTC package you get one EE day either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday. However, if you are staying onsite at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels - Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, or Paradise Pier - you can take advantage of EE everyday that it is offered. This is an unofficial perk for staying at the hotels - they like to surprise the guests, instead of having it expected. Because this is an unofficial perk, the DLR hotels can stop it at any time. As far as I know, this is still good.

Mickey's Toontown Early Morning Madness is on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Saturday, I believe.

I dont believe you would be allowed in to Morning Madness. You need a special voucher for it. There is a cm collecting them outside the gates to toontown. You might call Disney travel and see if they can help you.

Last year, this was correct. However, now the days for Morning madness have changed and they are not always on the same days (they over lap some days, but not all 4- for example morning madness if offered on Fridays, but EE is not). We did morning madness in Oct 05 and March of 06- the days changed between the two visits.

It is true that DL is changing the name of "Early Entry" to "Magic Morning", which is what they used to call it 5-8 years ago. That may have confused your TA.

There also have been many reports on this board over the last couple years about DLR stopping the EE program for DLR hotel guests. All of the reports have been wrong and this perk continues.

So let me make sure.. They are still doing Early Entry and still doing Morning Madness? We are trying to plan our days so we can do both, since it has to be on separate days correct?Early Entry will be renamed Magic Morning, and for the benefit of others neither of these is the same thing as Morning Madness aka Toontown Morning Madness or TTMM.

EE/Magic Mornings are Mon/Tue/Thurs/Sat

TTMM are on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat

So twice a week EE and TTMM happen the same day. On Sundays there is no EE or TTMM. Those who have EE and TTMM privileges can go to both on the same day twice a week (Mon or Sat) or do them on different days. If it was me I would do them on different days.

Hey, I told you in your other thread that could do it on the same day, you just have to choose the right day.

Although we didn't choose o do that, I thought it could be a good idea, because you're already so close to TT, you could practically be the first through the gate to ToonTown! Then you just have to wait for the stragglers coming from the main gates of Disneyland. :)

We have tickets to DL for Sat, Sun & Mon (11/24, 11/25 & 11/26). We'll be offsite and driving in Saturday morning and staying in DLH on Sat & Sun night.

I was thinking that we could use the EE that comes with the 3 day hopper to get into DL a little before the park opens (7:30 - 7:45) on Saturday. That way we could get to Toontown by the time it opens for TTMM. We are planning on doing the Discover the Magic Tour at 10:00 and then check into DLH when that is over. Then on Monday, we'll use the EE we get for staying at DLH Sunday night.

Any suggestions???

Thanks for the information on Magic Morning and Toontown Morning Madness. It has made planning a lot easier.

If you want even more info on MM, check out my other thread:

We bought the So Cal city pass online which includes a 3 day hopper pass, we are also staying at Hojo which is a good neighbour hotel but have booked these ourselves, do you know if we will get entry to the Toontown Madness?

The Toontown Madness comes with DLR packages. I don't think you will have access to it.

Unfortunately, you won't get TTMM, but your 3 day hopper will have a Magic Morning with it. :thumbsup2
