I'm getting back in shape for my wedding and Disney Honeymoon in October. With the help of WISH I lost close to 50 lbs around this time last year. Life intervened and I gained a good bit of it back so here I am to do it again and hopefully keep most of it off this time. My weigh in day will be Sat, last Saturday I weighed in at 203. I'll also post my measurements tomorrow along with my weight so I can see my progress there as well. I'm hoping to get down to 180 for the wedding (hopefully that will mean that my wedding dress with fit too). That means 5lbs a month from now until October which is realistic if I keep up my exercise and pay attention to what I eat.
I've done really well with exercise this week - Sat 20 min walk, Sun 20 min walk and 1hr yard work, Mon 20 min walk, Tue 20 min walk, Wed 20 min walk, Fri 30 min walk, 10 min walk. My goal is to walk 30 min at least 4 days a week and start using free weights. I haven't done that yet this week and today is my last hope so I better get moving on it after dinner.

I wish I could have visited there, but NO! The scale had to be dumb and say 199 instead of 200 or even 203!
How was your day today? Hope it was AWESOME!

New week - no weight loss though :confused3 - maybe it's because I'm working out more/harder. I did lose 3 inches, although not where I'd like to.
Chest - 39 (-2), 37 (-1)
Tummy - 41 (0)
Waist - 38 (0)
Hips - 48 (0)

You're losing inches and that's what matters.
You are eating, right? Post what you eat here, it will help in the long run.
Pearlie-weren't you the one who had her 'extra heavy' undies on when she got weighed at Curves? Honeymo, maybe you were wearing your extra heavy undies. I don't know.
Keep it going!!!! OT, but what are your wedding colors? If I'm being nosey, please tell me to back off.

Well I'm back again - that first attempt didn't last long. For a while I didn't have regular computer access at work and by the time I'd get home from work and do all the stuff I needed to do I didn't have time to get on the computer. I also was finding I didn't have time to exercise either. And I had been getting take-out for at least one meal everyday. I've really got to get into gear and start moving or I'll never fit in my wedding dress. I've gained 5-10 lbs since supposedly getting back on track. I'm hoping that some of that is some muscle gain since I've been swimming again and doing some moderate weight training. I'm going to try and post what I eat and my exercise here at least during the workweek. I'm hoping it will make me more accountable. I'm not on any particular diet but I'm trying not to overeat and I want to cut back on snacks so I can go out and eat on the weekends and not ruin all the work I've done during the week.
Monday
Breakfast - 2 bananas
Lunch - Turkey Lean Cuisine (5pts), Salad with veggies and 2-3tbls lite Italian dressing (I was still pretty hungry and a salad is good for me, right)
Snack - cinnamon raisin bagel plain, peach iced tea with teaspoon of honey and equal
Dinner - 2 bowls vegetable and barley soup, 3 slices italian bread with margarine
Snack - 1/2 cup drumstick ice cream
I didn't exercise at all =( But I managed to have just one serving of ice cream.

Welcome back to wish. Keep posting, everyone here is so supportive.
Congrats on your upcoming wedding. You will meet your goal by trying hard and visiting WISH often for support.
Remember to drink lots of water. I also an not following any specific diet plan. I just try to eat as healthy as possible and eat reasonable portions. Being a stress and emotional eater doesn't help much either.
Good luck with your journey. Remember it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change.

NYcpa - thanks for the visit. I am definitely getting in plenty of water - I have a 24oz cup (or something at least that big) that I fill up at least 5 times at work.
I got off to a late start today - about 3 hrs late. I really need to figure out how much sleep I need and then build my work schedule around that because getting up at 6 and staying up until 11 is not working.
Breakfast/Lunch - large fruit salad (I've got this at my desk and I'm just snacking on it)(guessing less than 500 calories)
Snack - rice cake (35)
Lunch - Veggie Salad with 2 tablespoons Lite Italian dressing (approx 60 for dressing)
Snack - dutch apple bagel (470/3.5g), peach tea with splenda
Dinner - Lean Cuisine Chicken in Peanut Sauce 6pts (280/7g)

Congrats on the wedding. Nothing like having something to motivate you!! I read a study not too long ago that linked sleep and weight loss. People who got 8 or more hours of sleep lost more weight. Make sure that you take that time for YOURSELF everyday. That is so hard for women to do, but sometimes we need to put ourselves first! Good luck to you!!!

I wonder how many calories were in that fruit salad this morning? It was a med size pie pan filled with watermelon, pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe and handful of grapes and strawberries. I was reading lesli's journal (or was it chris's?) who said they were aiming for 1800 cal/day and watching fat intake and thought I might want to use that as a guideline. Basically I'm wondering if I should eat something else tonight after I take my half hour walk. I really don't want to eat much less than 1800 if I'm still hungry.
Okay maybe I shouldn't eat anything else today. I just found out that I'm taking tomorrow as one of my days off this week and going to the movies with my fiance Dan and then out to eat, probably the Olive Garden. I know that I should say no to the calories and fat in the popcorn and some of the goodies at dinner but we go out about once a week (movies every other week) and I don't like to limit myself because I'll just end up overeating later. I'll just be sure to get in my exercise tonight and try and do a little bit extra tomorrow.

I hope you are having a good day and that you did well on the popcorn and Olive Garden. You know what - it's okay to have those things as long as you do it in moderation - like have a small bag of popcorn instead of sharing a large one. When you order your meal, ask for a to go box and split the meal up and eat only what's on your plate.
Here's to a good day

Monday night I did end up eating a little more after my half hour walk - I was just too hunrgy. I had some lean cusine stir fry (170/3g) and some ramen noodles (380). Not a great end to the night but anytime I can say no to ice cream is good for me. Yesterday wasn't as bad as it could have been but definitely not great either - movie popcorn and milkshake. But I did only get minestrone soup and salad (yes with dressing but most of it stayed at the bottom of the bowl) at the olive garden and I didn't eat any breadsticks. Plus I walked for almost 45 min last night and at a faster pace than usual. I'm right back on track today though.

Here's what I've had so far today
Breakfast - banana (100?), plain oatmeal (100,2g)
Lunch - Lean Cuisine Beef skillet leftovers (380,5g)
I'm really craving some pizza for dinner and I know I should have any since yesterday was my splurge day. I hope Dan has a good idea for dinner when I get home from work so pizza doesn't even cross my mind when the topic of dinner comes up.

It will take all the strength I can muster not to binge eat tonight. Our landlord told us last week that we are getting a home inspection by the township to make sure everything is up to code - no big deal right, I know that the house is fine and we aren't violating anything in the code (no trash all over the house, fire hazards, etc). So today he leaves us a message asking how we are doing with cleaning the house/yard b/c the inspector is coming in 2 weeks. I call him back and ask him what he means by "cleaning." I knew there was some yardwork we needed a lawn service to come and do b/c we didn't keep up with it at the end of last summer but inside I though was okay. I'm no Martha Stewart but I'm also no Pigpen. Sure there are books and boxes on the floor in neat piles and some canned goods stacked on the floor in the kitchen b/c there isn't enough cabinet space. The basement isn't neat and orderly - there are stacks of folded clothes in the laundry room, the exercise stuff is all over the room. The kitchen floor could us a good mopping, same with the bathroom floors. We're not living in filth, far from it, but we apparently aren't up to his standards. Think college style apartment living but only in a house (we both just recently finished our advanced degrees so between school and working full time the cleaning takes a back burner). When I informed the landlord that nothing in the house cleanliness wise would violate the code he asked if we were still going to clean it - just for him b/c he asked us to. What was I supposed to say? We are on a month to month lease basically (he never gave us a new lease to sign last summer) and I'm afraid he would decide that he shouldn't rent to us anymore b/c we aren't "clean" enough. We've been there for 3 years already and he's never really approved of our "cleanliness". Just one of the many reasons we are looking to buy our first home. So now I have to make time this week and next week (and I have to work at least one day this weekend and I'll be out of town next weekend) to "clean" the house to his standards. Its enough to make me want to get a pint of Ben and Jerry's and eat the whole thing. I guess I should be happy that I"ll be getting some good exercise from cleaning but I didn't really think it was "dirty" in the first place since I'm not a neat freak and never grew up in a truly tidy home. He's recommending an inexpensive housekeeper to us, not that it helps in the next two weeks or with the added expense of getting the lawn/yard people to come out. Hopefully when I get home Dan will have found someone to take care of the back yard for not too much $ (I just glad I recently found a good paying job). Okay, enough venting for now, I have to finish up some stuff at work so I can head home early and get started on some cleaning while Dan has time off to help me. Thanks for listening =)

Dinner - mac and cheese, mashed potatos, corn (approx 625, 27g). A bit high in fat but a quick dinner (the country crock tubs of mac and cheese and taters are yummy) which has given me time to mop and clean up most of the kitchen.

I am so proud that I didn't binge yesterday. And we now have a cleaning lady who will come once a week/every two weeks to do some of the heavier cleaning. I'm still unhappy about my landlord but at least it found us an afforadable cleaning lady. The lawn service people are supposed to check out the house today and leave a quote for me in the mailbox so maybe by the end of the day that will be all set up too.
I noticed this morning that all week I have been taking the stairs up from the train platform instead of the escalator. Every little bit helps =)
Breakfast - plain oatmeal (100, 2g), banana (100?)
Lunch - mixed greens with ff balsamic dressing (100, 2g), Lean Cuisine Salisbury Steak (280, 8g) 2 glasses of diet peach tea
Snack - Cosi bread (265, 3g)
I think I'm going to have fast food for dinner tonight. I know that sounds bad but I checked out the Wendy's website and I will be getting the Chicken BLT salad which I love and medium fries to feed the cravings. Even with that food I should still stay under 1800 for the day and not much more than 60g fat I think. I have to come in to work tomorrow since I took the day off on Wed so I'll probably just bring a lean cuisine to eat for lunch. No clue about dinner for tomorrow though. I'll probably pick something up to cook in between my mass cleaning spree. I have a feeling cleaning will be my only exercise for the next week since I don't know if I will be able to justify using my free time not to clean since the landlord has become a nazi. I better get back to work - only an hour and a half until I get to leave.

Last night we didn't have Wendy's b/c Dan wanted McDonalds instead. So I visited the website and picked out some stuff that fit in for the day even if my fat content for the day was a bit high.
Dinner - Bacon Ranch Salad (250, 9g), Creamy Italian Dressing (100, 11g), 4 Chicken Nuggets (170, 10g), Medium Fries (350, 16g).
I was so happy when I stepped on the scale this morning. I am now at 203. It has been a few weeks since that number popped up - not sure how much I lost this week since I didn't record what I was at last week but I'm thinking it was at least 2lbs. I'm almost back to onderland again.
The lawn people I talked to yesterday wouldn't just quote the small project we wanted done, they only would give it for the entire cleanup (weeding, treatment, etc) for the entire yard front and back. $500 is way too much to spend on stuff we can take care of ourselves for the most part. We only need them to do the tough stuff. So I left messages with 3 other places, smaller operations I think, and they will check out the place and get back to me with an estimate. Apparently when they were in the yard yesterday they disturbed a bee's nest b/c when I went into the back yard to check out the stuff they said they had to do I got stung 3 or 4 times. Of course I run back into the house with the dying bees still on me and freaking out. I've never been stung by a bee and my mom is moderately allergic so I didn't know what to expect for a reaction. I took some benadryl and the swelling went down and some ibuprofen for the pain. My arm still hurts pretty bad today but I'm just glad I'm okay. If I get my inside projects done today while it's still light outside I should cut the grass in the backyard but I'm kinda worried about those bees. I guess I'll just take a look out there and if it seems dangerous I won't do it.
On a happy note, I brought my big Wilderness Lodge mug into work today for my water. Just looking at it makes me wish October would get here faster.
Breakfast - strawberry nutri-grain type bar (150,3g)
Lunch - Lean Cuisine Deluxe Cheddar Potato (260,7g)

Is it wrong to be thinking of pizza for dinner? I even went searching for an estimate on calories - I think tomato, basil, mozzarella thin crust is something like 400 per slice, not sure on the fat though. If I don't really eat anything else today except for maybe some strawberries I could have 3 slices for dinner and not overdo it on the calories. I was really surprised that even with McDonalds yesterday I was still around 60g fat for the day.
Cruise04
07-23-2005, 01:49 PM
No it's not wrong. And it's not bad to go over in fat grams in a day, just try to back off the next day or exercise a little more.
Depending on what kind of pizza here's some ideas:
1) if ordering it ask if they have any nutritional information on their pizza's
2) if frozen the nutritional info will be on the package and that will tell you
3) go to www.calorieking.com and see if that will help you - it lists all of the nutrional information.
Our local pizza place didn't have nutritional information and so my dh said that their pizza is very close to what Pizza Hut would be. So I went to calorieking and figured it based on Pizza Hut.
honeymo78
07-23-2005, 07:20 PM
Thanks for that website. The pizza place doesn't have nutritional info either but it's thin crust like papa johns (about same size too) with just fresh tomatoes, mozzarella slices, and basil - I'm thinking it has to be close to the papa johns cheese pizza which is 260, 14g for an eighth of the pizza. Even if I round up to 300 I'll be fine with even 4 slices.
I got a lot accomplished after work today. I didn't stay as long as I could have but there was plenty to do at home. I went to home depot and got lots of cleaning supplies to use this week and then when the cleaning lady comes. I also got bee spray which I'll make Dan use and some Round Up to get rid of some weeds. I used some of it today and then I'll use the other bottle tomorrow and hopefully by Monday they will be gone. My task today was to clean up the bedroom - including all the off season clothes that have just made their way into piles on the floor. I filled 2 big trash bags full of junk and got almost all of the clothes put away. I just have to get down the storage bin and put one small stack of clothes in there and then organize the stuffed animals on the hope chest. It's amazing how nice everything in there looks after one afternoon of cleaning. Hopefully each room will be that easy to take care of and will feel as rewarding.
Okay my evening snack - before dinner since Dan doesn't get done work until 9:30 - will be a glass of tomato juice with lemon, it's pretty good for me and it tastes yummy. I'm really getting my veggies in today.
honeymo78
07-24-2005, 07:58 AM
The pizza last night was so yummy. The crust was a little thicker than usual so I'm gonna stick with the 300c estimate even though I didn't eat the thick crust ends. I had 4 slices (1200c, 56g) so for the day I only ended up with 1710c, 66g. Not too bad for a pizza day. I'll probably have 2 slices for lunch today but then I'll just have to be careful about what else I eat. It's really tough when I'm eating with Dan b/c he tends to like the higher cal/fat foods and while he's trying to be supportive he doesn't really want to eat the lowcal stuff too.
Breakfast - creamed chipped beef (aaprox 400, 25g) on toast (130, 2.5g)
We probably will be going out to dinner and I'll have a hamburger hoagie - I haven't had one in over a year - with cheese and bacon it will be about 1000 but I'll say no to fries with it and get a side salad. We may not have lunch since breakfast was late but I'll still have 400 to play with for the rest of the day. I know I've had a few high fat days but when I'm at work during the week my fat is really low - usually less than 30g a day so it all works out in the end.

THanks for stopping by again Chris. I'm really trying to make this an important commitment and stick to it everyday no matter what comes my way. One day at a time right =)
The cheeseburger hoagie was really yummy at dinner but when I got home it made my tummy hurt. I don't think I'll be having one again for a while. I also had some strawberries on dessert shells for a snack (approx 250cal, ?fat). I'll probably have the pizza for lunch tomorrow in our new toaster oven - just got it today for $30.
We got lots done today. Several loads of laundry finished, a couple kitchen cabinets reorganized so we can get a spice rack, the entire basement cleaned up but not yet vacuumed (my theory with the vacuum is that I should lug it up and down the stairs b/c I thump it up and down and right now it is upstairs and I will do all of the 2nd floor then work my way down). I didn't find a bookcase today but we'll go back out to look tomorrow or next saturday and in the meantime I'll just stack up the books I want to put in it in the spot where it will go. Tomorrow the plan is to mow the backyard and clean up the leaves, finish up the kitchen and make room for the toaster over, clean up the living room and start on the computer room.

Thanks for stopping by V. The lawn eluded us again. The forecast for today was extreme heat so the plan was to get up early and mow the lawn. Well we didn't realize there were going to be showers this morning. It was comfortably cool but you can't run an electric mower in the rain. I did manage to get the leaves cleaned up and some weeding done around the back walkway before it started raining too hard.
As for the indoor cleaning, the living room is all straightened with the exception of the books that will go on the new bookcase. I also was able to make room on one of the old ones for all but one of my lawschool books - now they are all together in one place. Most of the kitchen is now done - I just have to go through some of the tupperware after dinner. It's back to work tomorrow - at least 12 hrs - so I'm not sure any cleaning is the cards except maybe vacuuming the upstairs hallway and guest room.
On to the food. We stopped at a local orchard and got some fresh italian bread and tomatoes for bruschetta for lunch. I'm gonna guess on the calories for the bread based on how much of the loaf was used.
Lunch - 4 slices of bruschetta (700, 30g - assuming all 2 tbsp of olive oil ended up onthe bread which I know if didn't), tomato juice (100)
Dinner - 5oz Delmonico steak w/A1 (335, 13g), oven roasted potatos (250, 5g), green beans w/margarine (50, 3g). I had to make some calorie adjustments (downward thankfully) after I actually plated everything up and weighed it. Hopefully I'll get a new digital food scale soon.
If I need a snack tonight I'll have one of my 100 calorie snack packets.

You are doing really well at counting and watching. The one thing I hate to do is vacuum - I have no idea why because it's the easiest part of housecleaning. I do love scaring the cat with the vacuum though because she is such a crack up!!!!!

There was a bit of sabotaging last night. When we were running some errands Dan stopped at coldstone creamery for some icecream and I couldn't tell him no. I did pick the ff sweet cream with fresh strawberry and banana (250cal, only fat from fruit).
I'm a bit cranky today since TOM started. One minute I'm starving and the next minute I don't even want to think about food. And of course I'm feeling bloated. On a good note I was down 2 more lbs when I weighed myself this morning. I'll just keep up my water drinking and hopefully the bloating won't be too bad.
I got a late start today b/c of not feeling well due to TOM. I didn't get to work until after 9:30 so I'll be here until 8:30 and I didn't bring anything for dinner. I'll probably have some 100 cal wheat thins for a snack around noon and try to hold out until 2 for lunch. I just have resist the urge to run to wawa for dinner - I've got another 100 cal pack plus some 94%ff popcorn at my desk and I have a LC skillet dinner waiting for me at home.
Breakfast - plain oatmeal (100cal, 2g)

I sure will be here to help you through the rough times. If you do end up running out to get some dinner, just try to make it a good choice. And you are like me, I've snacks (same ones actually - too funny) stashed in my drawer in case I need them. They were a life saver yesterday!
Good job on the pounds lost even with it being your TOM. If you watch your salt intake it will help to keep some of the bloat down - that's what I'm keeping telling myself because mine starts on Thursday. So far I'm still going downward so I hope this month isn't bad.

Well I thought about what I could get from wawa if I'm hungry around 5-6 which I probably will be. I'm just going to get one of the prepackaged salads with a lo cal dressing packet. That should be enough to keep me happy until I get done work and can have dinner. Plus I might have some popcorn - someone has made me hungry for it today =)
Snack - wheat thins (100cal, 3g) I was able to make it until 12:30 before snacking but now that it's almost 2 I'm gonna have to go heat up lunch cause I'm starving

Lunch - Teriyaki chicken LC (280cal, 3.5g)
Snack - chips ahoy thin crisps (100cal, 3g)
I'm getting ready to eat my snack now and have less than 3 hrs left at work. I think I'll make it without running to wawa. If my tummy is still growling at 7 I'll probably make the popcorn. Now I'm wondering if I will have eaten enough calories today - dinner is a LC skillet which is only about 200cal per serving - even if I eat the entire bag it will only be about 600-700cal. I know that I don't have to eat 1800 everyday but I also don't want to eat too little - I was thinking at least 1400 would be safe. I guess I'll see how hungry I am when I get home and if I eat the whole bag of dinner it will be no big deal - I'll be right at the minimum. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to do.
UPDATE *Snack - popcorn (these bags are confusing but I think 100cal, 2g)
Dan just called to tell me that he has made it to the second round of interview for a trainer position he applied for. I really hope he does well b/c the job would combine his teaching skills (he has his masters in education) with his love of technology (its with the wireless carrier he works for now). It would be a bit of travel in general and perhpas a 3hr drive to the office for "local" training sessions but he'll find out more about that at the interview. He has to give a short presentation while he's there and that is one thing he really does well.
My mom also said that she and my brother would come and help with the yardwork this weekend if we couldn't find an affordable lawn service to do it. Her suggestion was totally unexpected.

Dinner - LC Turkey Skillet (520cal, 6g) I ate the whole thing, 2 slices italian bread with margarine (250cal, 6g)
Total for day - 1450cal, 25.5 - that was definitely the low fat/cal day I needed after this weekend.
I was up a lb from yesterday but I am in full bloat mode right now and feel generally crappy. Hopefully when TOM is over I will see a nice big loss =) We are giving up on trying to find a lawn service - even after I explained exactly what I wanted them to do, and what I didn't want them to do, they went ahead and quoted a job for more than I asked for and won't do what I wanted. My mom and her boyfriend and probably my brother will come on sat with the chainsaw and tree trimmer to help take care of that and all it will cost me is lunch. Hopefully they will be here early since I still will need to work about 5 hours at work that afternoon/evening. You've gotta love family =)
I'm calling to make/revise some ADRs for the honeymoon today - wish me luck =)

Hi Stephanie!
I hope everything works out with the ADRs. :wizard: I'm sorry that TOM has you feeling a bit under the weather today. Isn't it amazing how much havoc TOM can create in our bodies? I know that the last few months have been very hard for me TOM-wise. I hope you start feeling better soon!
Have a great day today! :sunny:

Thanks for the pixie dust for the ADRs. V - we're going the first week of Oct. Today I'm just trying to get some that weren't available when I originally called a few weeks ago or get a better time for some that we already have.
Tracy - I should be feeling better tomorrow or friday. TOM only puts me out of whack for the first 2-3 days an then I'm fine. It definitely is amazing what it can do to us.
Breakfast - leftover noodle soup (120cal, 3g)
Snack - Wheat thins (100cal, 3g)
Lunch - LC Salisbury Steak (280cal, 8g)
Snack - will be 100cal oreos
Dinner will be pasta with homemade sauce

HI!! Hope you have a great day today!!!

Things kind of fell apart last night - as the cold front moved through which got rid of the near 100 temps, there were lots of storms and my train home was delayed about 45min. By that time I was tired and cranky and didn't feel like cooking so we got McDonalds - it would have been fine if I had gotten a medium fry instead of large - oh well.
Dinner - Bacon Ranch Salad (250, 9g), Creamy Italian Dressing (100, 11g), 4 Chicken Nuggets (170, 10g), Large Fries (520, 25g) with ketchup and bbq sauce (50)
Total for the day - 1640cal, 71g fat This could have been a lot worse, not happy with my fat for the day but I'm glad I didn't overdo it on the calories (I was very tempted to eat the Drumstick icecream in the freezer.)
Today has not started out well. I am super bloated (TOM plus sodium from fries does not equal happy) and back to last week's weight. My 201 weigh in was the morning before TOM hit so hopefully it will come back when the bloat is gone. I'm just gonna keep on drinking that water and flushing out my system, although I tend not to have to pee so much during TOM - must be the bloat. I also don't have a desk to use at work since the new computers have not been set up yet (for the past 2 weeks I've been using the desk of a girl who took off to take the bar exam but she is back today.)
Breakfast - maple sugar instant oatmeal (160cal, 2g)
Snack - Wheat Thins (100cal, 3g)
Lunch - LC Turkey and Stuffing (270cal, 2.5g)
Snack - Chips Ahoy (100cal, 3g) Sugar Free Hot Chocolate (60cal)

07-29-2005, 06:56 AM
Last night we finally got some of the new computers in at work and a few more are due tonight with the rest of them coming in next week. I'm still using someone else's desk today and probably will do so until Monday - hopefully then I'll be able to stake out a permanent spot. I was very good last night and instead of putting on my movie as soon as I got home, I walked for a half hour =) Here's the rest of yesterday's food..
Snack - rice cake (35cal) forgot to add this to yesterday morning's snack
Dinner - Beef noodles and sauce (520cal, 8.5g)
Snack - 2 slices toast w/pb (210cal, 9.5g), cup of milk (100cal, 3g)
Total - 1555cal, 31.5g fat
Since the past 3 days have been well under 1800cals I might splurge a little on lunch and get a hoagie but I'll check out wawa's site first and see how much of a splurge it is. I know we are either having pasta or keilbasa and potatos for dinner - either way it won't be too high in calories so I'll have some extra to use during the day.
Breakfast - plain oatmeal (100cal, 2g)
I forgot perhaps the most important news of the day - I'm back to 201 :maleficen Hopefully I can hang on to that for one more day since I only count Saturdays for weigh in.

Thanks Tracy - I'm glad I'm back down too. I can't wait to see onderland.
Snack - Wheat Thins (100cal, 3g)
Lunch - ham and cheese short hoagie (380cal, 14g), Baked Lays (220cal, 3g) I wanted a salad but they were all of any of the low cal or ff dressings at wawa and I hate dry salad.
I have a little less than an hour left at work and I'm trying so hard not to have my snack. I really want to save those cals for dinner or not eat them at all today since I had a bigger lunch than usual.
I just realized that I'm getting married 2 months from tomorrow and that means 2 months until Disney. I still have plenty to do - order my bouquet, reserve a table for the reception, figure out if I need my dress hemmed and if so find a place to do it rather quickly, get a dress to wear to the reception (I have a pale blue dress that should fit then but I really want something new and probably white but I'm not sure what luck I'll have finding that), and this weekend I need to print and mail out our invitations. I still have to go over the ceremony and turn in any changes (I really want traditional vows so I'll need to search the net for the text for the district justice to use).
Dinner - Kielbasa (390cal, 34g), fried/baked potato (250-350cal, 7.5g) corn (60cal, 1g)
Total -1460-1560cal, 64.5g (again a little over fat but I'm okay with that)

This helps me figure out if I want to use my calories on some foods you have used them for, which are good foods. Just foods that I would have thought were MUCH higher than you have posted they are and that's good for me!!!!
2 more months - how exciting!!!! Hope you have a good time getting everything printed and ready to mail. I did our invitations and I really enjoyed doing them. It was fun!!!

Chris - I like seeing what you eat too. I've been so surprised when I look up the nutritional value of some stuff - it's not as bad as I thought - but then again I'm not eating nearly as much of it as I used to. I'm slowly learning that moderation is the key.
Well we finally got the backyard mowed tonight and sprayed where we thought the bees live but since we didn't see any we can't be sure. I forgot to call my mom before it got too late so I hope she's still coming tomorrow. I guess I can just head out to the yard after Dan leaves for work and see what I can get done on my own in case she doesn't come. I'll call her in the morning too and see what's up.
I also posted my ADRs for the honeymoon over on the Restaurants board in case anyone wants to check them out. I will not be eating according to plan that week :rolleyes1 but hey it's vacation and honeymoon - plus we'll be walking our butts off.

I was so happy this am - I hopped on the scale and it said 200 :maleficen I am so close to onderland now. This means I had 3lb loss this week and I can now claim my 5lb clippie. I don't know what weight I started at but it was at least 205 so I'm gonna count from that.
I also tried my wedding gown on since it's only 9 weeks away. Amazingly it fit. Two months ago I couldn't even get it zipped up halfway and now it fits perfectly, not even too snug. I felt like such a princess putting it on. Now I just have to find a seamstress to hem and bustle it in basically 8 weeks time. I've heard some bad things about David's Bridal where I bought it so hopefully a non-chain wedding shop can help me.
My mom, brother and brother's girlfriend came with the chainsaw, hacksaw, tree trimmer etc to help take care of the backyard this morning. The yard looks amazing and it took less than 2hrs to do. The only thing we didn't do is cut the bush that houses the bees - still waiting for the spray to kill them all but otherwise it looks great back there. They even helped weedwhack (i'm horrible at it) the front yard.
Now to the bad part of my day - I took them to lunch and we went to my fave diner and I didn't eat stuff that was good for me. I don't think I'm gonna really count my cals today but I'll still keep track of them anyway.
Lunch - milkshake (800-900cals, 40g) hot dog w/sauerkraut (350cal, 13g) cheese fries (450cal, 25g I probably had less than this) total (1700cals, 78g)
I'm gonna go shower and get ready for work. If I eat anything at work it will be a 100cal snack pack but I'm really going to try not to have anything until dinner. Dan might want to go out though. I we go out this will be my free day this week. If we don't go out I'll try to really curb cals and fat on anything else I eat today since its likely we'll go out tomorrow.
UPDATE - I have an appointment for a dress fitting with a local bridal shop on Thurs night. They didn't seem to have a problem with 2 months to the wedding and I'll find out the cost for alterations then as well. I'll be sure to let all of you know how it goes.

Great job on the loss!!!!!! BRAVO for you!!!! And good job on finding a bridal shop to do your alterations. V - my dress is no longer on the david's bridal website but I'll try to scan in the picture I kept from the catalog.
Chris and V - thanks for the congrats on the new clippie/loss - I'm so excited.
Well I manged to salvage the day and haven't ended up too far off plan
Dinner - Minestrone soup (220cal, 4g)
Snack - cup of choc milk (150cal, 3g)
Total - 2070cal, 85g (only 270 over in cals and 25g over in fats - this could have been much worse and I got in some strenous exercise this morning)
I'm not sure what the food plan is for tomorrow - if we go out for breakfast (usual weekend activity) I'll pick something lower on the cals if not fat too. Dan has a work party to go to tomorrow night so I plan on getting in about 45min of walking on the treadmill - I have several new books to pick from to read.

08-01-2005, 07:17 AM
Tracy - I'm glad you got addicted :rotfl2: I've been an addict for years and since I've been with Dan I've turned him into one too.
Well my Sunday was good and bad food and exercise wise. I got all the bathrooms cleaned (I didn't mop cause the cleaning lady is coming on Thurs and I'll let her do it) and the upstairs floor and steps vaccuumed (i hate vacuuming steps). I also got a new bookcase and put that together and filled it up with books. I never got around to walking on the treadmill - by the time I was done everything I needed to do I was pooped and it was time for a nice relaxing bubble bath.
Now for the food - we went to the olive garden and I wasn't as good as the last time. I had some toasted ravioli for an appy, one breadstick, 2 plates of salad, and the new 5 cheese ziti. Here's the good part though, that is all I had today, I took at least half of the ziti home and ate it for dinner. I couldn't find any nutritional info for the ravioli or ziti so I have no idea how off I was for the day but at least I controlled the urge to snack. :maleficen

Tracy and Pearlieq - thanks for welcoming me to onderland. I'm so happy to be here. I just hope that it lasts until Saturday and takes some more off with it.
Breakfast - plain oatmeal (100cal, 2g) I'm all out now so I'm not sure what to do for tomorrow
Snack - Wheat thins (100cal, 3g)
Lunch - LC Chicken in Peanut Sauce (280cal, 7g)
Snack - Oreos (100cal, 2g), SF hot chocolate (60cal)
Not really sure what is for dinner - I'm hoping it's pasta but it could be anything. I doubt I'll get on the treadmill tonight, I need to vacuum the computer room and living room and that will probably be enough work for me.

08-02-2005, 06:38 AM
The scale is holding steady at 199 and I'm really getting used to onderland :rotfl: It flickered to 198 but wouldn't stay :sad1:
Dinner - grilled cheese (322cal, 17.5g), tomato soup (285cal, 7g)
Total for Monday - 1247cal, 38.5g I knew I had more calories to use last night but I was so tired and we didn't eat dinner until almost 9. I wish I had known what I would have for dinner and I would have had a larger snack in the afternoon when I was hungry. At least tonight I know that I'll make a LC skillet which is about 500-600cal for the whole bag so I'll probably run to the store downstairs for a snack around 5 or 6 since dinner won't be until after 8pm. Pretzels would be yummy :maleficen
Last night's exercise was breaking down the trees that the garbage men wouldn't/didn't take. I cut everything into pieces that would fit in the garbage can - hopefully they'll take them away now since they can just dump the can. I also vacuumed the living room. Tonight's plan will depend on how hungry I am when I get home - it's either dinner first then a load of towels while I vacuum the basement or towels and vacuuming first then dinner. It might work better to do the housework first so the towels will be dry before I go to bed.

Snack - Wheat thins (100cal, 3g)
Lunch - veggie salad with olives and ham and lite italian dressing (250cal, 8g)
Early afternoon snack - Slimfast Peanut Butter Crunch snack bar (120cal, 4g) it tastes like a butterfinger bar
Early evening snack - Sourdough pretzels (250cal, 0g), diet vanilla coke

It's a good thing I ate some extra snacks today or I would be way under on calories. I came home from work a little late since the train was running behind schedule. I wasn't really hungry so I threw the towels and linens into the wash and started vacuuming the basement. Well it took about an hour to do the two room and the stairs (boy do those stairs make my back hurt). I didn't feel like making the skillet at that point so I heated up a can of minestrone soup (220cal, 4g) and I'm getting ready to make some ramen for Dan and I might make two packages and have some. I'm not really hungry but I'd like something warm and yummy.
Total for Tuesday (not including ramen) 1190cal, 20.5g
I think I should have the ramen after looking at those numbers. That is way below the calories I need maintain a loss (I don't want to go into starvation mode :sad2: )
I get to take little Eeyore into the vet tomorrow morning to get declawed and fixed. The cats are angry with me b/c I had to take the food away at 8pm. I'll give them all extra treats after work tomorrow :cool1:

Oh Stephanie how thrilled I was to come here and see you had made it to Onderland!!!!! HUGE BRAVO - that is awesome. I'm so happy for you!!!!!
I've run into that problem lately about not hitting enough calories and I've been worried about my body hitting starvation mode too. I know once it does it will be harder to lose the weight or it won't be good for me because at some point it will stop because my metabolism won't be working very hard. Can't do that yet!!!!!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for stopping by Chris =) I tried the whole barely eating (less than 1200 a day) and it worked at first but then I ended up actually gaining a few lbs.
Well I'm out of onederland again - back up to 200. I think its a combo of eating late and not fully digesting everything and getting it out of my system (I usually weigh a lb or 2 more at night) and I didn't drink very much water last night while/after I cleaned and just had diet tea. I really notice a difference if my last drink of the day is a big glass of water.
So here is my total with the ramen (380cal, 14g)
Total for Tuesday 1570cal, 34.5g
Breakfast - peach yogurt (150cal, 1.5g), banana (100cal)
Lunch - Turkey LC (270cal, 2.5g)
Snack - Chips Ahoy (100cal, 3g)
I get to pick up eeyore from the vet on the way home. I hope he is recovering well. (eeyore is our newest kitty and he was neutered and declawed this morning).

Dinner last night wasn't too great. We picked up eeyore and he was fine but when we got home he ran off and opened up one of his sutures and started bleeding all over the place. By the time I got him cleaned up and the bleeding stopped then cleaned up where he bled it was after 9 and we didn't feel like cooking. I wasn't really hungry but I knew I had to eat dinner. We got Wendy's and I ate more than I was hungry for. I didn't blow it for the day but was a bit higher in fats than I would have liked.
Dinner - Chicken BLT salad (400cal, 20g fat), creamy italian dressing (200cal, 22g), 5 nuggets (220cal, 14g), med fries (470cal, 21g).
Total for Wednesday - 1910cal, 84g
I really didn't get any exercise in yesterday and I probably won't get any in today either. The cleaning lady is coming this morning to do the kitchen and bathrooms then later we are going to look at houses with the realtor and at 7 I have my dress fitting. Hopefully I will be able to get at least 2 loads of laundry washed, dried and put away before we have to leave. I guess that's some exercise and better than just sitting around all day.
honeymo78
08-04-2005, 06:50 PM
Breakfast - strawberry nutrigrain bar (140cal, 4g) or it was 120cal and 2g I'm not sure
Lunch - Chicken cheese steak (800cal, 35g), about 1 potato worth of fries (200cal, 8g approximately)
Dinner - Tunafish sandwich (320cal, 13.5g)
Total for Thursday - 1460cal, 60.5g - not too bad of a day, barely went over on fats but I know that I didn't drink enough water. Generally when I'm at home all day I don't drink enough.
The cleaning lady did a great job on the kitchen and bathrooms and it only took her 3 hrs. I definitely can keep up with the vacuuming so she'll only have to do that again when she comes in 2 weeks.
We saw a really nice house with the realtor but if we wanted to make an offer on it we would likely be closing a few weeks before the wedding - not something we can do. We decided we're going to put the search on hold until the spring so we can save up a little bit more money for closing and downpayment plus we'll see what we get as wedding gifts from the family. There's a chance that Dan's father will finish up some big contracts this fall and have something nice for us at x-mas (Dan says if all goes well it could be our house downpayment).
I also had my first fitting for my wedding gown. They are going to let it out just a touch so it doesn't bunch up at all (hopefully it won't matter by the time the wedding gets here but I know they have to make it fit me for now). It almost costs as much as the dress did to have it altered - I guess its good that we didn't spend too much on the dress itself. I paid for half of it now and I'll be able to pay the other half in Sept - I really have to watch what I spend the next two weeks b/c the honeymoon payment is almost due.
I better get back to work - I've got a 12 hour day today since I took off yesterday and then I'll be in again on Sat for 8hrs.

08-05-2005, 02:14 PM
Today seems to be dragging and I'm super hungry - have been all day today. Trying to figure out what I need from the grocery store and what to have for dinner doesn't help me. So far I haven't eaten anything off track. I picked up a slim fast snack bar in case I need more than than my 100cal packs today.
Whoever was talking about putting calories into fitday got me thinking about the fruits and veggies I'm eating. I can see that some days I'm not overeating on calories but the ones I am eating don't come from the best places. I decided that since yogurt is on sale this week I'll pick up 2 weeks worth of fruit yogurt and some bananas for breakfast so that I'll know I'm getting some fruit and dairy in each day regarless of what I eat the rest of the day. With the LCs for lunch there is generally at least 1 serving of veggies so that will help. That should make a difference in my overall health. I also think I'll get some carrots and celery for snack at work to replace one of my 100cal packs (or to eat if I'm extra hungry since I won't feel guilty if I eat it). I think I'll need to prebag them for work since I don't have a lot of time in the morning. I wonder how long cut celery will stay lookig good in a ziplock baggie (the baby carrots should be fine for a few days in a baggie).
Breakfast - Light vanilla yogurt (90cal, 0g), banana (100cal)
Snack - oreos (100cal, 2g)
Lunch - LC beef and broccoli (230cal, 4g)
Since Dan closes tonight I'm having open face tomato sandwiches for dinner. Basically they are half a hamburger roll with cheese, tomato, onion, and bacon cooked under the broiler. They are my favorite summertime food next to plain tomato sandwiches. It's about 700-800 cal for it if I remember correctly and about 40g fat b/c of the cheese (this is for 6 halves and I'm not sure I'll be able to eat that much since I usually cut up one of the tomatos and eat that separately too). I can't wait for dinner :goodvibes
I'm also going to try and get on the treadmill tonight depending on how long it takes at the grocery store. I won't start walking if it's past 9pm and I won't get home from work until 7.
Snack - Slimfast PB Crunch bar (120cal, 4g)
At least I was able to say no to two snacks this afternoon. My tummy is growling now but I'll be at the store in an hour and dinner won't take long to make once I get home. Heck I can always have some minestrone soup if I don't think the sandwiches will fill me up enough.
I'm so glad it's almost the weekend even though I have to work. At least I don't have to get up at 6am tomorrow :goodvibes
honeymo78
08-05-2005, 08:02 PM
Dinner - 4 open face sandwiches (550cal, 26g)
Total for Friday - 1190cal, 36g again low on the cals, I'm going to have to find a way to get in some healthy higher cal foods for days when it would otherwise be low.
They were so yummy I'll probably have them for dinner tomorrow night too since Dan closes again. I was gonna exercise but I'm just now eating cause my mom called and once you get her on the phone its almost impossible to get her off it.
Eeyore is doing a bit better now - he's walking better and has realized he can't just run around like before. He's not supposed to use the regular litter box but the one with newspapes but I know he's been in the regular one - as long as he heals up okay this shouldn't be a problem. When Roo was little he did the same thing and he healed up okay. I should get in some exercise tomorrow with a little bit of yardwork.

The scale this morning was a big surprise - considering I'd been hovering at 199/200 all week I wasn't expecting to see 197 - a 3lb loss this week. I'm so excited. If I can find some time to start exercising I will be a fat burning machine :cool1:
Breakfast - strawberry yogurt (150cal, 1.5g), banana (100cal)
Snack - sliced cucumber with vinegar (30?cal)
Lunch - LC margerita pizza (320cal, 9g) - very yummy :)
Snack - carrots and celery (50?cal)
Dinner - open face sandwich (550cal, 26g), 1 chicken nugget (40cal, 2.5g)
Total for Saturday - 1240cal, 39g (could have used another 200 cals but I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat)
I am really going to try and get some exercise in tonight. It will probably be too dark when I get home to do any yardwork (hopefully tomorrow morning before it gets too hot). I'm also really going to try to get to the gym 2 days this week depending on Dan's schedule. I'm not taking any midweek days off so I should only have to work until 6:30 each day which gives me plenty of time to get to the pool if Dan works a close. I really love to swim and it gives me a great whole body workout - generally I do 10 laps (20 lengths) and it takes anywhere b/w 15min and a half hour. I probably should go for time length (1/2 hour) but since I haven't been swimming much lately that might be too much for me to handle - I get really out of breath doing it.
Tomorrow might be an off plan day since I really didn't take one last week. I'll still try not to overdo it even if it is off plan. I don't want to ruin all the hard work I've done already.

I know someone asked about a picture of my wedding dress and I promise I'll get that scanned in tonight but in the meantime how about a few pictures of Dan and me from our May '04 disney trip. I weighed about 180-185 in these pictures which is where I would like to be for the honeymoon (only 10-15lbs to go :) )

Thanks for sharing those pictures and you are really doing great!!!!! BRAVO on the weight loss!!!!! You deserved that!
One thing I've been doing if I am in need of calories but I don't want the fat is I have either had fat free frozen yogurt at night or added a yogurt during the day. That way it's fat free and I'm not upping my fats but I'm upping my calories!!!!! And I'm getting some extra calcium in too!!!
Keep on

Thanks for stopping by again Chris. I hear you've been doing a great job losing too :) I've got some low fat yogurt but I've been eating them for breakfast. Maybe I'll get some low fat string cheese for extra snacks.
I was down .5 this morning so I'm still on the right track. I'll be in the 180's in no time (hopefully by the end of the month).
Breakfast - peach yogurt (150cal, 1.5g), banana (100cal)
Snack - sliced tomato (30?cal)
Lunch - 4 cups homemade chicken noodle soup (approx 500cal, 10g) will be having more for dinner, tomato juice (100cal)
Snack - 2 edy's ice cream dibs (30cal, 2.2g)
Dinner - 4 cups soup (500cal, 10g), bread and butter (220cal, 9g)
Snack - 2 tablespoons ice cream (150?cal, 10g) I broke down and had some spoonfulls of Dan's ice cream before bed :guilty:
Total for Sunday - 1780cal, 43g That's not too bad even if I underestimated on the icecream before bed.
I just got finished walking a half hour on the treadmill and this morning I weeded the flower garden. I should be going to the pool on Tues so don't let me forget.

This morning the scale showed me up nearly 6lbs from yesterday morning. I know I didn't gain all that in the course of a day. I know I didn't drink as much water as I do during the week and the chicken soup did have a lot of sodium in it so hopefully that scale will be back to normal tomorrow or wednesday (I know this is what I get for weighing everyday).
Breakfast - light blueberry yogurt (90cal), banana (100)
Snack - will be carrots

Hi Stephanie!
Congrats on losing 3/5 pounds for the August challenge! That is great! :cool1:
I hope you have a great day today and don't worry too much about the scale: I'm sure once you get your water in over the next couple of days, the scale will be back to where it was before or even lower! :goodvibes
Take care! :sunny:

Thanks Tracy :) I'm sure I'll see a nice loss at the end of the week but that number today really was scary.
I also had some hot tea for snack but it made me feel icky, not sure what that was about, I wasn't sure I could make it through the rest of the day at work. Luckily those carrots calmed my tummy.
Lunch - LC garlic beef and broccoli (170cal, 6g) I thought this had rice with it but it didn't so it was super lowcal for lunch. I know I'll need a snack before my 4pm chips ahoy. Now to figure out what that will be - I definitely want to keep it under 200cal. Maybe I'll treat myself to a diet soda too (I only have 1 or 2 a week).
Snack 1 - ritz crisps (100cal, 3.5g) very yummy, string cheese (80cal, 6g) also yummy - cheese and crisps are now on my shopping list
Dinner - 1cup pasta w/tomato sauce (300cal, 1g), 4 meatballs (500cal, 32g)
Total for Monday - 1370cal, 48.5g I was so surprised that I only ate one plate of pasta but that let me eat some extra meatballs which I love (Dan makes them himself). I'll probably have them again for dinner with some bread and butter.

It looks like I didn't mention that I took another walk on the treadmill last night (1/2 hour, 1.5miles). Boy do my thighs hurt now from 2 days of walking plus squatting in the garden on Sunday. That's what I get for talking a few weeks off from exercise :( I think I'm trying to rationalize my way out of swimming tonight. Can someone tell me if this makes sense.
1. I'm very sore from the past two days of working out which means I'll be in even worse shape tomorrow if I swim tonight.
2. I left work an hour early yesterday b/c of the bad weather so I should stay an extra hour tonight to make up for it (I'm trying to get in at least an extra 5 hrs over my usual 50 to make up for the week I'll be on the honeymoon) - I have plans for the weekend so I can't make it up then. If I don't get home until 8pm it leaves me less than an hour to cook and eat before I have to leave for the pool (opens at 9pm) otherwise I won't be eating until 10pm (really too close before bedtime).
I'm thinking I should just scrap it for tonight and just go on Thursday providing my mom doesn't stay too long when she picks up my car at 7:30 - at least I would get in dinner at a reasonable time. Plus Dan started playing an online game again so I'll have plenty of time to get in a walk tomorrow without feeling guilty about not spending time with him when we both have a night off.
Breakfast - light strawberry/banana yogurt (90cal), banana (100cal) - I tried eating an hour earlier than I ususally do since I'm generally starving by the time I normally eat. We'll see how that goes today.

08-09-2005, 06:46 PM
Snack - carrots (30cal)
Lunch - I gave up on my LC and got a big garden salad (50?cal) with ff italian dressing (50cal) and croutons (100cal, 3g)
Snack - Chips Ahoy (100cal, 3g), popcorn even though almost half the bag was burnt and I didn't eat it all - stupid microwave (75cal, 2g)
Dinner - garden salad with bacon bits and black olives (100cal, 3g), ff creamy italian dressing (60cal) - I'm also having a meatball sub later - 3 meatballs (375cal, 24g), 6 inch roll (200cal, 2g - I couldn't find any info so I used a wawa veggie shorti which is 6 inch, the roll alone is probably less than 200 cal but I'll stick with that anyway).
Total for Tuesday - 1330cal, 37g - aw I could have had a yummy cookie snack

Stephanie you are doing really well. It's so great to have someone eating like I am and counting like I am cause I can look at what you've had and see what I can try next. I'm trying to incorporate more of my usual foods but lower cal and lower fat if I'm cooking to get more variety. I do like having my cheese stick for snack in the afternoon or at lunch. It's a nice little extra and I get some more dairy in too. I wish I could remember the ones that I get - they are reduced fat but I can't remember the brand - it has a green and red stripes on the top of the bag - Italian colors. Frego or something like that.
Keep up the good work and it does sound like all the sodium in the soup may have done you in. Hope it comes off just as easy as it went on! Keep drinking that water!
And what in the world is WAWA???? I've seen that in several posts from other people and now I'm curious!!!! :)
Keep on

Thanks for stopping by Chris. I finally picked up some cheese sticks - I think the brand you are talking about is Frigo? They low fat ones weren't on sale but the Acme brand ones were and they are 90cal, 5g - not too bad for full flavor. Wawa is a convenience store in southern NJ and in Eastern PA and they make great hoagies and have awesome milk. I noticed that the effects of the sodium were going away this morning so hopefully I will see something more accurate tomorrow. I'd love to try and go lower fat in my homemade stuff but Dan just loves to cook with fats, esp olive oil and until he's ready to change that I'll just keep eating smaller portions and fill up on veggies or something else. I just noticed that you are only .5 away from the Aug challenge - way to go :)
Also while I was at the store I picked up some 100cal Sandies (I didn't realize it was shortbread :) ). I also got these french cookies covered in chocolate - I can have 2 cookies for 140cal and 6g and they are pretty good sized too - about 3/4 of a playing card. I haven't had those cookies in ages but they are one of my faves. I might have one for desert tomorrow if I can behave at work.

08-10-2005, 01:08 PM
Breakfast - light stawberry banana yogurt (90cal), banana (100cal)
Snack - carrots (30)
Lunch - LC Deluxe Cheddar Potato (280cal, 7g) - so yummy :)
Snack 1 - string cheese (80cal, 5g), ritz chips (100cal, 3.5g) I still can't find these in snack size bags in the store, just in the little shop in my building's lobby. Maybe I need to look with the snack pacs for kids lunches.
Snack 2 - sandies (100cal, 3g) I really didn't need another snack but I was dying to try these. I've never had the originals so maybe they taste similar but it didn't taste like the shortbread I know. But then again instead of one stick for 100cal you get a little bag full. I'll still eat them but at least I won't expect that buttery shortbread taste.
Dinner - meatball sub (575cal, 26g)
I'm wondering if I should bother trying to figure out cals for the veggies I eat. When I was on WW these were considered 0pt foods. Would it really put me that much off course if I ate all my planned cals in other foods yet still had an extra serving or two of veggies?
honeymo78
08-11-2005, 08:37 AM
I did go a little bit overboard last night with my snack - I had two servings instead of one which I really didn't need.
Snack - 4 choc covered biscuits (260cal, 12g), cup 1% milk (100cal, 3g)
Total for Wednesday - 1715cal, 59.5g Still within plan but I could have done without the extra cookies both times yesterday.
Well I'm holding steady at last week's weight but I was in the same place this time last week and ended up with a good loss so lets keep our fingers crossed :) I crapped out on walking last night but at least my thighs no longer hurt so I HAVE TO get on the treadmill tonight - hopefully before my mom comes so it is out of the way. I'm leaving work a half hour early so I can get to the grocery store for the last day of this week's sale and pick up some rainchecks. I'm not sure what I'll have for dinner tonight - I was thinking LC pizza and salad from the grocery - maybe even use full fat dressing since it will be such a low day otherwise. I know I'll have pizza on Sat (real pizza) at the beach. It's my fav pizza and I haven't had it in almost 2 years so I'm going to splurge and not worry about it if I eat 3 slices - I know I won't be snacking on the beach (hate sand in my food).
Breakfast - strawberry banana light yogurt (90cal), banana (100cal)
My tummy is really grumbling and making loud noises but I don't really feel hungry so I just got a piece of gum. In an hour I'll have my carrots - finally got some ff ranch to keep at work to spice up those carrots and make them last longer.
Snack - carrots w/ ff ranch (60cal), string cheese (80cal, 5g)
Lunch - LC Teriyaki Chicken (280cal, 3.5g)
Snack - Pretzels (200cal, 2g)

I did manage to get in a 20min/1mile walk before my mom got here. I'm so excited go to the beach tomorrow (who cares how I look in a suit, I'm not trying to impress anyone). My mom is also making me fried tomatos - yummy!
Dinner - LC veggie pizza (330cal, 5g), garden salad w/olives and baco bits (100cal, 3g), ff italian dressing (60cal)
Total for Thursday - 1300cal, 18.5g - hopefully this means I'll have a loss tomorrow.
This morning I was still at 197 so lets hope for a woosh in the am.
Breakfast - vanilla yogurt (90cal), banana (100cal)
Snack - carrots w/ff ranch (60cal)
Lunch - LC Turkey and stuffing (270cal, 2.5g)
Snack - sour cream and onion ritz chips (100cal, 4.5g)
Dan is having pepperoni pizza for dinner and I'll probably pick something up from the same place (it's a sandwich shop too). I could really go for a hamburger hoagie but I think I'll stick to a ham and cheese one or something like that. I still have over 1100cals I can use and about 50g fat. I'm sure I can find something yummy that doesn't go over those totals. I'll be sure to drink plenty of water with whatever I get so I can help out a loss tomorrow.

I had a happy scale visit on Sat morning - down 1.5lbs to 195.5 - only .5lbs to meet my Aug goal and get my 10lb clippie :)
I also tried on the outfit I wore last year for the first day of our Disney trip (it's in the pic with the limo I posted) and it fits fine, so 7 more weeks of eating right and exercising will make it even better.
Last week I walked a mile or more 3 days so I'm shooting for at least that again this time.
Breakfast - banana (100cal)
Lunch - 2 slices pizza (320cal, 18g), sweet tea (100cal)
Snack - fresh squeezed lemonade (200cal)
Dinner - fried tomatos (800cal, 50g)
Total for Saturday - 1520cal, 68g - not bad considering I thought the day was going to be a complete disaster and fried tomatos are a once a summer treat.
I also got some walking in at the beach. We had to walk about 3 blocks down the boardwalk for pizza and then an extra block to get fudge for Dan, plus I walked almost 3 blocks to get something to read b/c I forgot my book at home. Of course we had to walk back from all this so I figure it was a mile in total - not my normal walking speed but it was out in the hot sun. I had a great time at the beach - a little burnt now but it was nice being outside at the shore.
I woke up with an ear ache on sunday so I wanted some comfort food today.
Breakfast and Lunch - open face sandwiches (1100cal, 52g)
Snack - Skinny Cow ice cream bar (120cal, 1.5g)
Today will be a bit over on everything but I plan on getting in a half hour walk so that should offset it a bit.

Thanks for stopping by Chris and Tracy :) My ear is better today. But yesterday ended up being a disaster. I guess it means that it was my one day off for this week. I didn't count cals but I'll post what I ate for dinner (looks like what Chris ate lol)
Dinner - 4oz london broil, 2 ears corn with marg, mashed potatos with milk and marg
Snack - cup milk, 1 oreo, 3 french cookies
I did walk for a half hour/1.5 miles and that made me feel a bit better about what I ate. One day of eating unwisely won't hurt me, at least its out of my system for now. And besides, I probably still ate less than what I would have eaten before I started paying attention (definitely not as much grazing as I used to do).
Breakfast - strawberry yogurt (150cal, 1.5g), banana (100cal)
Snack - will be string cheese (80cal, 5g), coffee (20cal for powdered creamer)
Lunch - LC chicken teriyaki (280cal, 3.5g)
Snack - chips ahoy (100cal, 3g)
Dinner - will be hamburger helper taco mix - I wonder if the cals listed for "as prepared" is meant to include the hamburger? It is much higher than the "as packaged" amount.
Okay so I'm not a coffee drinker but it was cold in the office this morning so I got a cup of coffee from the caf since I had to pick up some plastic forks and spoons and its free anyway. I thought about having hot choc but even the sugar free is 60cal and I really didn't want to and the last time I had hot tea I felt ill. Regular coffee is not for me - I got a 12oz cup with 2 tsps of powder creamer and 3 splendas and I was so jittery I thought I was on drugs (still a little jittery now but it's not as bad as before). Defintely decaf if I try it again on Wed. I really couldn't believe how it made me feel. I drink caf soda all the time (okay maybe a few times a week) and never have once felt this way. It really freaked me out - I hope it was the caff and not the splenda, althoug hI've had food and bev with splenda before and felt fine. Oh well, live and learn right.
I'm taking off work tomorrow and coming in a few hours on Sat and Sun. I have to mail out the wedding invites (6 weeks notice should be fine - everyone knows about it anyway), get some Ts and transfer paper for homemade shirts for disney, and clean out our big freezer so I can stock up on more LC. I also can't wait for tomorrow's dinner - we're making pot roast in the crock pot - yum!
honeymo78
08-16-2005, 03:49 PM
Dinner - hamburger helper taco (660cal, 30g), green beans w/marg (100cal, 4g)
Total for Monday - 1490cal, 47g
Breakfast - 2 eggs (200cal, 16g), hashed browns (250cal, 15g), 1 piece toast w/marg and jelly (150cal, 6g), skim milk (175cal, 1g)
Lunch - cucumber w/vinegar (40cal), 22oz coke slurpee (300cal)
Total so far - 1115cal, 38g
Dinner - will be pot roast approx 600cal, 11g
I cleaned out the freezer this morning - all sorts of crap in there. I also walked half hr/1.5miles.
honeymo78

Total for Tuesday - 1715cal, 49g
I'm craving all sorts of bad food today. I almost ended up with a turkey reuben for lunch and I have succumed to the cookies that another department delivered to us. However the cookies will be my afternoon snack so it won't add too much.
Breakfast - peach lite yogurt (90cal)
Snack - ritz chips (100cal, 3.5g), string cheese (80cal, 5g)
Lunch - LC salisbury steak (280cal, 8g), italian wedding soup (200cal, 8g)
Snack - 1 sugar cookies (200cal?, 10g) - I'm so proud of myself for giving away the other cookie :). The sugar one was really good but I knew I didn't need another one.
Total before dinner - 950cal, 34.5g
I was thinking about getting wawa for dinner since I have to pick up milk but that will put my fat a bit out of whack for the day. I guess it will depend on how I feel when I get home at 8 (another 12hr day). Actually I'm going to leave in a few minutes and only work 11 today. I'll just get in some extra time this weekend since I was planning on coming in anyway - who said you have to work more than 50hrs a week?
Again I'm only up .5 for the week and didn't get much water in at all yesterday (I never do when I'm at home). Does anyone else every feel that once they start drinking a lot of water for the day, they feel thirsty all the time that day afterwards. I've had at least 10 16oz mugs and my mouth is still super dry. :confused3

Somedays I do feel like I need to just drink and drink and drink because I'm so thirsty. But when I do then I have to pee, and pee, and pee, and pee, and... well you get the picture :rotfl: :rotfl: But that's suppose to be good right (yeah, that's what they say but I'm not so sure sometimes!!!!!). Last night was way OP. DH (okay he's not yet but will be in 6 weeks) was supposed to work a double last night but somehow he managed to get done around 6:30 and made reservations for Outback. Well we only go there a few times a year so I certainly couldn't see not eating whatever I wanted. Surprisingly, I was only up .5 again this morning :)
Dinner - 1 loaf Outback bread w/butter, 1 mild wing, french onion soup, baked potato w/sour cream and butter, 2/3 of 8oz prime rib - at least no dessert and only diet coke to drink :)
I was so tired when we got home that I basically went right to bed. I had hoped to do something with my free weights again (did them on mon night) but I'll do that after my walk tonight.
Breakfast - Blueberry light yogurt (90cal), banana (100cal)
Snack - carrots w/ff ranch (60cal), string cheese (80cal, 5g)
Lunch - italian weddig soup (200cal, 9g), LC potato w/cheese and broccoli (230cal, 5g)
Snack - Sandies (100cal, 3g), iced tea w/splenda

Thanks for dropping by Tracy :)
The rest of the day went okay except that I didn't end up eating dinner until 9:30. My mom called when I was on my way out to get milk and my hoagie and we ended up talking for almost an hour while I was in the parking lot. Boy was I glad I had decided to exercise as soon as I got home from work - 1/2 hour/1.5miles otherwise it never would have happened.
Dinner - ham and cheese shorti (380cal, 14g), chicken noodle soup (210cal, 4g)
Total for Thursday - 1450cal, 40g
I was up 1lb this morning so of course now I'm wondering if I'll see a loss tomorrow or if I'll have to wait another week to get a new clippie. I'm wondering if it just took that long for the extra food from outback to settle in or if it's b/c I ate so late last night that I didn't have a chance to digest it all or whatever. I'm definitely going to eat before 9pm today. I'm leaving work a little early (half hour) and going to the mall to see if they have any summer stuff left at aeropostale and ny&co. I kind of doubt it but maybe something in my size will be on sale. I guess this is what I get for going on vacation in the fall :confused3 I have no idea what I'll have for dinnerbut I know I won't eat at the mall.

Hi V and Pearlieq :wave2:
I've got my fingers crossed for at least .5 loss tomorrow and in hopes that I find some nice clothes at the mall (on sale too).
I was good and I was bad today. Bad - I got a cheesesteak and fries for lunch. Good - I only ate half the sandwich and instead of taking the rest home I'm throwing it out, plus I'm still on track for the day.
Breakfast - light vanilla yogurt (90cal)
Snack - carrots (30cal)
Lunch - 1/2 cheesesteak (350cal, 10g), medium sized fries (400cal, 16g), half to 2/3 chicken noodle soup - really ate mainly the broth, way too much chicken in it (150cal, 3g)
Snack - diet snapple tea, 4 sugar free lemon candies (25cal)
Dinner - not sure yet I have 550-750 cals to use up - I'm thinking minestrone soup and bread w/marg but it depends how I feel when I'm done shopping. I'm definitely slicing up a tomato though before they all go bad.
I did get in little walking at work. I walked a block to get lunch and while I was waiting for it I walked all the way around the block. Plus I went to the drug store 2 blocks away to pick up contact lens solution. I don't think I'll do any formal exercise except maybe some bicep curls while I'm at the computer since I'll be getting in a little more walking at the mall and I don't think I'll have time for much else once I get home.
Tomorrow I plan on mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges in the front yard (good exercise) and walking into town (about 7 or 8 blocks) and checking out the wedding bouquets at the florist - mom said she'd pay for my flowers too :Pinkbounc

Tracy  This will be a wonderful weekend. I am down .5lbs this week which means I not only claimed my 10lb clippie but also met the 5 for August challenge :Pinkbounc
I went out for breakfast with DH this morning to Denny's but I ate what I wanted so I'm not counting anything for that but will keep track of everything else today and try to keep it under control.
Breakfast - diet coke, Moon over my hammy sandwich and hash browns
I went out to mow the lawn and our lawnmower broke halfway through :( It is making funny noises and I think the blade is coming loose. I guess it means we need a new one. I'm not going to bother getting it fixed since it was only $100 and I might as well just get a new one. I'll just borrow the neighbor's to finish the yard today and go shopping either next week or the week after when I have to mow again. When DH leaves for work I'll walk into town and check out the flowers then I think I'll grab my book and lay on the hammock for a while and get some sun.
Have a great weekend everyone :)

I'm back after a relatively disastrous (food wise) weekend. I have discovered that when I am not at work and home alone for most of the day I really have some problems. Saturday's problem was grazing and not having a plan for lunch and dinner. After breakfast I ended up eating light yogurt, cereal, tunafish w/ 1 slice bread, 4 ice cream dibs (proud of my control there :)), 3 slices bread w/marg and pb, mcdonalds $1 hot fudge sundae. I think the worst part was that I had no desire to stop. I did get in 1.5miles of walking which was good.
Sunday's problems wasn't grazing but food choice/portions. Cereal (actually normal portion), big bacon classic, biggie fries (ate half), biggie coke (that's right regular coke), 2.5 serving of hamburger helper, 1/2 three cheese bowl appetit, corn, 2 slices bread w/marg. I did walk for 1/2 hour and cut the shrubs and weeded.
I'm really not sure what my game plan for my next days off will be. I have no problem staying on track during the week/workdays. On days off I hate that I have to watch everything I eat and count calories and obsess. Why can't I just eat what I like to eat at least sometimes? I don't know, just so frustrated sometimes.
Sunday we will probably go to the movies and see The Brothers Grimm and then next monday we are going to Six Flags. I really need a rollercoaster fix. I'm just not even going to worry what I eat there, just enjoy myself. Plus all that walking will be helpful.
Breakfast - light peach yogurt (90 cal)
Snack - string cheese (80cal, 5g)
honeymo78
08-22-2005, 07:52 PM
Lunch - large garden salad w/croutons (200-250cal, 3g), ff french dressing (60cal)
Snack - chips ahoy (100cal, 3g)
Dinner - McDonalds large fries (520cal, 25g), bacon ranch salad (260cal, 9g), ff creamy italian (60cal)
Total - 1420cal, 45g
Exercise - WATP evening mile
So I found my journal here from summer '03 - May '04 and what really worked for me was walking at least a mile at least 5 days a week. Sure I was watching what I ate (partly on WW and then just doing my own thing) but I think the key was exercise. I'm not gonna sweat the weekend and if it happens again so what. I really can't stress about this and get discouraged. I'm really going to focus on getting in exercise as many days as possible - so far I'm at 3/3. And during the week I really need to focus on my eating. Yes I had fast food again today but at least I kept everything under my goals.
I also saw what I weighed when I went to WDW last year - 182. I don't think I'll be there in 5.5 weeks but I'm hoping I will at least be in the 180's (only 5 to go).

Okay, here goes my catch up. When I'm not at the office I don't seem to get online as much.
Tuesday - definitely within calorie and fat targets, also did WATP morning mile (at night though)
Breakfast - light yogurt
Snack - string cheese
Lunch - chicken noodle , ham sandwich on 12 grain
Snack - can't remember if I at my chips ahoy or not
Dinner - 2 grilled cheese and tomato soup
Wednesday - not as great on food but probably not too far off cals, morning weight showed no gain but TOM was starting to show bloat later in the day, exercise WATP 2 miles
Lunch - chicken dumpling soup, 3 mild wings, applebees chicken/steak fajitas
Snack - pooh fruit snacks
Dinner - 1.5 cups pasta
Dessert - DH made choc chip cake b/c we haven't had cake in several months and the kitchen was clean so he wanted to put a cake on the cake platter - I had about 1/10 of the cake with about half a tub of icing used on the whole thing
Thursday - today will be a bit over b/c no morning snack made me super hungry and I overate at lunch (should have gotten med hoagie)finished mowing the lawn and did a little weeding, hopefully will get in a mile walk later tonight
Breakfast - corn flakes
Lunch - large ham and cheese hoagie, chicken noodle soup
Snack - cake w/ extra icing :earseek: but probably not much more than 1.5 servings of icing total, milk
Dinner - 1.5 cups pasta with 2 slices bread w/marg
I know I'm going to want another slice of cake tonight - I'll try to say no to it but if I get my mile in I might not say no.

After last night (another piece of cake and some more pasta and no exercise) its time to get back on track - again. I was up 2lbs this morning but I don't know if it was from 1)not drinking enough water on my days off, 2)overeating, 3) increased exercise, 4) TOM. I won't be disappointed if I don't have a loss tomorrow - I'll have no one to blame but myself.
Well, only 5 weeks til the wedding. I'm really going to try for 1lb loss each week which would bring me to 190 for the big day - and I'm sure 5lbs would make some clothes more comfortable too. I'm really going to focus on the exercise like I said before. I skipped formal exercise yesterday but got in some yard work but I know I need to work out tonight too (that would mean exercise every day this week :)) I should be able to get in some exercise Sat night after work but Sunday is up in the air. It will be movies (with popcorn) and possibly dinenr at the place we are having the reception dinner so we can get the contract signed. Monday is six flags day and plenty of exercise. I won't feel so bad if I don't get any in on Sunday since there will be lots of walking on Monday. As for food, I'm going to try and control it when/where I can - like when I'm at work or eating alone at home. I'm not going to stress over the movies, if we go out sunday, or at six flags. I'll just be sure to make good decisions the rest of the week - plus the cake won't last much longer.
Breakfast - light yogurt, banana (190cal)
Snack - hot chocolate, string cheese (140cal)
Lunch - turkey burger, fries (620cal)
I'll probably have some diet tea and chips ahoy for snack (maybe a slim fast snack bar too since dinner won't be until 8:30ish) and maybe some sugar free hard candy (only 25cal for 4).

Okay gotta finish up yesterday before getting to today.
Afternoon snack - pb crunch bar (120), sf werthers (40), liter diet coke
Dinner - 4 chicken nuggets (170) wasn't really hungry when I got home so this wasn't until almost 11pm
Snack - skinny cow fudge bar (100)
Total for Friday -1344
Exercise - WATP Power Mile (boy is that a fast paced mile)

Now today. I had a real shock on the scale this morning. With my cake disaster this week and some off plan eating my best hope was to maintain but I thought it more likely to show a gain. Surprise Surprise - I was down 1.5lbs to 193.5 :cool1: I was super excited. I definitely can see 189 before the wedding!! It must be all that exercise. I can't beleive I did something active every day last week. Lets see if I can keep it up this week.
Breakfast - light yogurt (90)
Snack - string cheese (80)
Lunch - garden salad w/croutons and ff honey dijon (130), ham and cheese shorti (400), medium chicken noodle soup (150?)
A little high for lunch but I was famished by the time 1pm hit, plus dinner won't be until 7:30 or 8 and I really won't have time to snack. Maybe a pb bar but that will be it.

Here's getting everything up to speed. Sat afternoon I had my chips ahoy snack, then kielbasa, fries and mac and cheese for dinner. No exercise since it was after 7 when I got home and then we made dinner and watched a movie.
Sunday we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, popcorn at the movies for lunch, and outback for dinner (we were supposed to eat at the reception site but we waited for 15 min before we had to ask someone where our server was to order and get drinks - a manager sent a server over, don't know if it really was "ours", and we asked to see the manager and he basically just said everyone was busy - at that point DH asked why we were seated immediately if they were so busy, we'd rather wait in the lobby rather than sit down and not get served, plus the table behind us was seated about 10min after us and was waited on almost immediately and the manager said that was b/c they had a different server, DH explained that we had just put down the deposit for our reception and he hoped we had better service then, the manager asked us what he could do for us but at that point we weren't in the mood to eat there anymore :( so we went to outback instead - not as good but we got prompt service).
I got my exercise out of the way with WATP walk and jog sunday morning - it was like walking 2.5miles in a half hour - boy was that hard.
Monday we went to six flags - saw the safari and then spent 5 hrs in the park. We got to ride the new coaster kingda ka which was awesome. I got lots of walking in :) I had a mango water ice, cheeseburger with baked beans and coleslaw, and then later had coke. We had dinner at home at applebees and I had the chicken fajitas (no appy or dessert).
Not too bad of a food weekend - probably close to plan or not much over if you take into account the exercise. I only got one bad blister from six flags too which is a good sign for disney. I didn't put any moleskin on which I will do everyday at disney so only one isn't too bad and I think part of that came from walking around in wet shoes after the rapids ride. I still have to pick up new sneakers but since I always buy the same brand it shouldn't be a problem plus I'll wear them when I walk inside to break them in. I guess I should think about getting those this weekend since it will be a month away at that point.
On to tuesday
breakfast - light yogurt
snack - string cheese
lunch - flank steak panini and fries, corn chowder (I definitely overate at lunch, but I really wanted the corn chowder to get in some of my veggies, plus I'll end up skipping my afternoon snack cause I'm still stuffed and then I'm having LC pizza tonight so that will keep me well within bounds for the day).

Well I just tried to post a long message on how Tuesday was okay with eating, wednesday was a disaster since I didn't feel well and ate like crazy and of course no exercise those days. I don't feel like typing all that over again either.
Today was crappy too - up 2lbs plus pigged out on chips and cashews for afternoon snack, ate "dinner" for lunch so will be having LC for dinner, leaving work an hour earlier than planned to ensure exercise.
That reminded me that I should be putting in extra hours (had been averaging 50 hrs for july and aug so I could finish paying off honeymoon) b/c last two weeks were 40 and 45hrs. I had wanted 50 this week but with staying home sick yesterday and leaving an hour early today I'll probably hit 44. That means next week I'll come in on labor day (I get paid for the holiday too) and probably next weekend too since DH is working. Week after that I need to get in about 55 which should be okay since DH is working 7 days with some double shifts (helping out another store where he hopes to become assistant manager). The week before the wedding I will have to work 11-12 hr days so I can get as close to 50hrs as possible (with 4 days of 12+ I'll have 49). This is what happens when you are a contract employee and will only have enough accrued time with the agency to get 14hrs of vacation pay. At least DH will get full vacation time plus all that overtime pay and a full commission check right before vacation incase I need to borrow from him to pay my Oct bills. At least my mom got us a gift card for disney and is also paying for our limo transport from the airport - that means we don't have to spend any of "our" money on the trip :) Is it any wonder I seem to be stressing and not eating well - I know it's not really a valid excuse. But can you believe it - 4 weeks from saturday is the wedding then honeymoon is the next day. I haven't even started packing or making sure clothes for the vacation are clean - looks like I know what I'll be doing on Sunday and Monday after work.

So I'm up 1lb this week. I'm pretty happy considering all the crap I ate this week. Some of it tasted great like the wrap and panini (probably not that bad for me in moderation) but some tasted blah (like the chinese I had for lunch yesterday). That still means I have 4.5 to go to hit my goal before the honeymoon - which means I have to get my butt in gear. My plan this week is to actually eat my LC at work (I have a freezer full of them) and my regularly scheduled snacks (maybe will be bringing some natural pb and carrots which is still good for me) and then days when I'm with DH to eat normally but within reason. He's definitely trying to help me with this and I shouldn't deprive myself either or I'll end up with another last week. I also need to get in some more exercise. Last week was 3 days but at least each day was at least 2 miles of walking. I'm going to shoot for 5 days this week at 1 mile each day. The WATP videos are better for me than the treadmill since I work more muscle groups including upper body, but if I feel like getting on the treadie I will but will walk at least 1.5miles.
I also sat down last night and this morning and look at financials. I will be fine if I stick to the work schedule I came up with and stop buying lunch all the time (which is good for my body). I can still get soup with lunch a few days and a banana with breakfast or diet soda with snack if it helps get me through the longer days, but cutting back on spending at work will be great for me. I'm sure DH will still end up with some fast food in the next two weeks b/c of his schedule but he's not the one trying to lose weight or the one facing a week without pay :P Oh and hopefully some good news for him - he has been applying for assistant manager positions for a few weeks now, didn't get one of them but the person selected was asked to leave and still hasn't had an interview at teh other one. But his store just found out they can have an assistant and he can apply on tuesday and interview with his manager tues or wed. Also his manager had to order him new business cards and he ordered them with the title of assistant (the manager is the one who decides on the assistant), plus DH had to order winter shirts for work yesterday (the company pays for them) and his manager asked which ones he got since mgmt has to wear the button down ones with tie. Those were what DH ordered anyway but was told he would have to change his order if he didn't have them. So please everyone keep him in your thoughts - he really wants this position.
I'm wiping the slate clean for food and starting fresh today.
Breakfast - light yogurt (90)
Snack - celery and carrots w/pb (got it from wawa since I need to get groceries today) (320) I know it's a bit high but the pb protein is great for me plus it will keep me full longer.

Saturday did not turn out as well food wise as planned but I had a blast. DH called from work and asked if I wanted to go to Midnight Bowling with his coworker and his DW. We hadn't bowled in over 2 years but we had a great job and we both just got right back into the swing of things. Of course I did have a couple beers and afterwards we were close to a Sheetz (convenience store mainly in western Pa) and since DH misses them dearly we stopped and got some made to order food. I really love the meatball sub.
Lunch - chicken fettucine (280)
Snack - cucumber, tomato juice (100)
Dinner - 1 sm slice pizza, 1 soft pretzel, 3 beers
Snack - (around 3am) 6inch meatball sub
Exercise - WATP 1mile, 2.5 hrs of bowling
Sunday was kind of a lazy day since we didn't get home until after 4am :earseek: I also didn't get in any exercise since I was just beat and sore from the night before.
Breakfast - 6inch meatball sub, tomato juice
Lunch - wings from KFC and Hushpuppies from LJS (DH loves LJS and we finally found one that was only 20min away instead of the hour trip we used to make for it)
Snack - coke slurpee
Dinner - ramen
Today's plan is to eat the last cucumber and the tomatos I bought before they go bad. I also want to the the 2mile WATP heart healthy walk sometime (maybe early evening) since DH has to close the store tonight.
We both got new monitors yesterday - the LCD ones that are flat panel. DH needed a new one and there was great sale for labor day so he was able to get me one (smaller than his) along with his for the price he thought he was going to have to pay for his. DH is serious about his computer stuff :). I can't believe how much it makes a difference since my monitor was his old one and at least 5 yrs old. One of the cats doesn't like it since he used to lay on top of them - and he learned the hard way last night (poor kitty).

So I’ve been MIA for a while now (well at least from this board – I’m obsessed with the trip planning ones). Yes I have gained after a week of being sick and eating whatever I wanted that looked good and a week of eating everything under the sun. The good news is that while I gained almost 5lbs (not sure how that really works in 2 weeks), I have lost 2 of them and hopefully won’t gain anymore. Another strange thing is that while I know the scale says I’ve put on a little more weight, my clothes and the mirror don’t show it. Maybe some of it is water and maybe some of it is from the little bit of exercise (especially weights on my arms) I have gotten in.
I’m back now, although not completely rededicated. I have 2 weeks from today until the wedding and that seems to be causing enough stress right now. Adding obsessing over what I eat will not help me in the long run. The general plan is to not let myself get out of control when I choose to eat something that’s not really healthy. For example, I’m going to have a real soda today but I will only have 1 and I won’t have anything other than water for the rest of the day (well maybe a little glass of diet tea). Dan and I have agreed that we aren’t going out to eat again until right before the wedding (probably with his family the night before) so that should help a bit. I’m only bringing lean cuisine to eat for lunch at work, no more buying my lunch b/c I end up getting crap most of the time and not healthy salads (plus it will save me some money). Exercise is not a priority right now although it will be when I get back from the honeymoon – actually at that point exercise will be a priority even over food although it doesn’t mean I can eat like crap – but I will continue using free weights every other day for my arms just to get a little bit of definition with my sleeveless dress. To be honest, I don’t have much time to exercise since I’m working nearly everyday for at least half the day. Will this get me down to 190 before we leave? No and it probably won’t get me back to 194 either but I’m okay with that. I’m not giving up at all, just realizing that I need to take a little more time to get there b/c of what I’m going through right now.
I ordered some new fall clothes from Old Navy (pants in size 14 and tops in XL). I know they may not fit perfectly right now but by November they will definitely feel better. Also when we get back I’m going to ebay a bunch of my old Barbie stuff on Ebay – apparently some of the stuff I have is worth some money. My mom said I could do the selling and she would make sure stuff got shipped out. I hoping to make enough money to purchase airfare for Feb along with the credits we got when our airfare went down last week. I want to take Dan to Disney for valentine’s day and his birthday (they are 2 days apart) so we’ll start saving up for that as soon as we get back (good for me since it means less takeout food to save money).
I’ll try to make it around to journals this week but I’m not promising anything. I have a hard time concentrating on anything that isn’t wedding or honeymoon related for more than 5 minutes (doesn’t help at all with work). But I am still thinking about all of you and wishing you the best of success in your journeys.

I can't believe it's only 2 weeks until the wedding!
The way I see it, this is a really special time and you deserve the freedom to focus on it and savor it. As long as you can zip the dress and you're not living on Milk Duds (or Tums, as was the case for me) don't worry too much about staying OP. It sounds like you've got a great plan for the next couple of weeks!
Good luck to you! Don't forget to stop and look around every once in a while, because it really does become a blur. Make a point to be "in the moment" as much as you can. And keep a roll of Tums handy. They do wonders! :teeth:

Thanks pearlieq. I'm definitely not living on milk duds :rotfl: and my mom never leaves the house without tums so I think I'm good :)
I was pleasantly surprised this morning. I'm now only up 1lb from a couple weeks ago. I very well may see 194 again but if I don't no sweat. It must have been my body readjusting after 2 days of not getting much water in, then 2 days of lots of water. It's amazing what not drinking enough water will do to you.
I was pretty good yesterday, with the exception of the coke and some fritos, but since I had to leave the building to get them I at least got in a 4 big city block walk. I'll probably go again today but I'm getting a diet soda this time and maybe no snack but we'll see how work goes. Dan and I also watched Team America while we ate dinner. That is one crazy movie and we couldn't stop laughing, but then again we're still at that point where basically anything by the South Park creators is funny to us. And just to let you know, freedom costs a buck oh five.
Well I'm off to work - just doing a few hours today so I have off tomorrow and half of tuesday with Dan. Those will be the last days we have off together until friday right before the wedding. Oh and did I mention I need new jeans. I hate shopping for them but there is a big mirror in the bathroom at work and I realized how saggy these jeans are pretty much everywhere (butt, hips, legs) and I remember when they were tight and not just b/c I keep putting them in the dryer.
Have a great day everyone :sunny:

Well I’m back from the wedding and honeymoon and ready to get back on track. I had a great time – ate myself silly and walked nonstop. I’ll post some pictures from both once I get some scanned in. I don’t think I’ll be weighing in this week for a couple reasons – TOM starts next week so I’m super bloated from that, I didn’t drink nearly enough water while I was away, and my feet and ankles are super swollen. I really don’t want to get discouraged by seeing a number that doesn’t really reflect where I am. I’m taking it easy on exercise this week too – my feet are just too sore for any extra walking. Next week I’ll be back to walking and hopefully 2 days in the pool. Today is my first day back at work and it will be my first day back at food journaling.
Breakfast – peaches and cream oatmeal, cinnamon applesauce cup
Snack – 100 cal chips ahoy, sugar free hot chocolate
I’m really glad that the weather has turned cooler. Before we left it was still kind of warm but now all the days are in the 60s and it’s cool enough at night to sleep with the windows open. The electric bill should go down some now and the cats love sitting in the open windows.
I’ll work on visiting journals later this week/weekend and hopefully I’ll be posting a trip report soon.

Can I have a do over? Yesterday was a food mess. I ate my lean cuisine a little early and by the time I went to get some soup since I was still hungry I ended up with a ham and cheese sandwich too. Then it was someone’s anniversary for working on our project so there was cake and of course I had a piece. Then I got a bag of popcorn when I went to get a diet soda. At least it was organic popcorn lightly flavored with olive oil and not the processed butter flavor high fat stuff. Dinner wasn’t too bad – home made breaded chicken strips, corn and a potato.
I think I have to admit that a lean cuisine doesn’t fill me up for lunch. I know it’s supposed to but 300cal really isn’t enough to keep me satisfied until a snack at 4pm. I need to plan on adding some soup, salad or a sandwich and not feel guilty about doing it.
Today is a new day.

Welcome back Stephanie! :Pinkbounc
I'm glad to hear that you had a great time at WDW! :goodvibes Can't wait to read your trip report! :teeth:
Don't worry too much about yesterday. Remember.... sometimes it takes a few days to get back in the swing of things after a magical trip to WDW. You CAN do it! :cheer2:

Thanks for stopping by Tracy  I'm sure I'll get back into the groove soon.
Yesterday’s food wasn’t too bad – definitely better than Thursday’s. I also need to remember that I’m not going back to the strict calorie counting I was doing over the summer. My focus (once my feet heal) will be geared more toward exercise and healthier eating (like getting in fruits and veggies).
Lunch – garden salad with egg, bacon, sliced turkey and thousand island dressing
Snack – 100 cal peanut butter cookies
Dinner – breaded chicken strips, mashed potato, cheesy noodles
Dessert – 5 el fudge cookies, 2 choc chip cookies
Maybe my fruit and veggie goal will be to eat at least 1 serving of fruit and 2 servings of veggies each day. I know that is less than what is recommended but since there are days when I don’t eat any fruit and the only veggie I have is a potato, I think this is a pretty good goal.
Thursday’s fruit – applesauce, chunks of peaches in the oatmeal
Thursday’s veggies – garden salad (surely more than 2 servings of veggies)
Our new couch arrived yesterday morning. It’s a bit smaller than our old couch length wise which is actually good considering the size of the living room but it really is nice and fluffy and even sits up a little higher. I now just have to find another outlet to plug the heat/massage into.
DH is back to work today. He had to go in an hour and a half early b/c he has his interview for the assistant manager position and then an individual meeting with the new manager to lay down her plan for the store. I’m really nervous for him. He has given so much to his job and taken on so much extra responsibility for his store, basically stepped up when no one else wanted to, and then he keeps getting passed over for a promotion. It’s really starting to frustrate him too and is making him enjoy his work less and less each time this happens.

Breakfast - peaches and cream oatmeal
Snack - bagel with cream cheese
Lunch - less than 1/3 order of beef broccoli and fried rice, pt wonton soup, vegetable eggroll, bag of noodles, fortune cookie
I ate a lot less chinese than I usually do but I shouldn't have eaten that much at all cause now I'm so stuffed. Part of it is b/c I was upset after talking to disney. DH got a pin code in his email for jan/feb which would be great for our valentines trip. It would give us about $100 off per night at WL - great. But you can't book the premium package with this code but you can do the disney dining add on. Now I have to talk to DH about what we want to do if we go - tours and some recreation, or just parks and shopping. If it's tours and recreation we'll have to forgo the discount and do the premium package. If we'll do basic touring we can go with the discount and get basic dining and just pay extra for the other meals.
Oh and I just got a text message from DH saying he is going to look for a new job b/c he thinks he is getting screwed at work again.

Lets see what I ate the rest of yesterday.
Snack - tomato juice and sliced tomato
Dinner - dbl qtr pounder w/cheese, large fries
Dessert - 1 choc chip cookie
I ddi well on veggies yesterday but the only fruit I had was in the oatmeal. I plan on eating a full piece of fruit today.
Good news, we booked our Valentine's Day/DH Birthday Trip. We'll be spending 4 nights at the Contemporary tower MK view. We've never stayed there before and I had asked if we could do it for the first night of an anniversary trip before we started our package just so I can stay "where the monorail lives." Since we had the pin code DH suggested we see about the Contemporary for this shorter trip and just not use the premium package this time since it will be cooler and we won't be out on the water or doing tours. We did add the dining plan since it seems silly not to. A TS and CS definitely would cost us more than the cost of adding it. Now I have to figure out our ADRs since I have to call in less than a month. I'm so excited!!!

Well yesterday ended up being my "off" day for the week since I couldn't control myself at all. I think it would have been better if I had gone into work instead of staying home and doing chores - I wouldn't have had access to all that food.
Breakfast - minestrone soup, sliced tomato
Lunch - chicken noodle soup, ham and cheese hoagie
Dinner - beef pasta hamburger helper, mashed potato
Snacks - (this is the bad part) 2 payday bars, coke slurpee, 4 choc chip cookies
I had planned on taking a walk yesterday too but mom intervened. At least I got some walking in at the mall. My mom had to pick up her brother at the airport which is near where I live so she called and asked if I would ride over there with her. I haven't seen my uncle in years since he lives in Colorado so I went along just to say hi. I also got all my thank you cards done :)
Well my schedule at work has changed a bit at DH's request - it's not a bad thing, just will take me a little to adjust and figure out where to fit in some exercise. He likes me to take a day off during the week when he has off so we can spend at least one day a week together - that I have been doing for a while now. Last night he asked if I could go to work an hour later so I don't have to go to bed so early. To be at work at 7am I would be in bed by 10:30 and when he doesn't come home from work some nights until after 10 that meant we didn't really see each other for more than a hello/goodnight. It just means that I have to work an extra hour later (get home at 8 instead of 7) if I want to keep up my current schedule of 50hrs with 2 days off. I guess that's a good excuse to go to the pool since it's open until 9:45 most week nights.
I better get back to work. The client is visiting sometime today so we need to be on our best behavior which means staying off the internet :(

Breakfast – peaches and cream oatmeal, banana
Snack – sugar free hot chocolate, 100 cal peanut butter cookies
The client was supposed to be in around 12:45 but a half hour later, still hadn’t arrived so none of us can break for lunch. My tummy was growling pretty bad so I had 2 saltines to tide me over until I could go get soup and salad. They ended up not showing until after 2 and boy was I hungry by then. Of course I end up overeating but at least it was on relatively healthy foods and not junk
Lunch – large chef salad w/thousand island dressing, large Italian wedding soup

I'm having a bad food day already. I just ate a 99cent size bag of choc covered pretzels. TOM starts tomorrow so I know why I was craving the sweet and salty but I really didn't need that snack. I'm going to try to skip my afternoon snack today since I definitely don't need more snacks today. It might be hard since I'm going home early to spend the rest of the day with DH and I don't know what he has planned.
Breakfast - bagel, half w/lite cream cheese, half w/butter, banana
Snack - bag of choc covered pretzels

Thanks for stopping by again Chris :sunny: I've been neglecting other journals for a while so I really need to make that a priority over the next few days.
I've been away for a week and off the wagon as well. DH and I had upper respiratory infections and were out of comission for the past week. That meant eating a lot of crap/fast food since neither of us really felt like cooking. And exercise was definitely out of the question. Well after all that and the honeymoon I'm back in the 200s =( I really need to start working my way out of there. I have another disney trip coming up in 3 months and I need to get in shape. It's never too late to start over, right? I did end up cancelling our gym membership since we weren't using it and no sense in throwing $50/month down the drain. I had thought that paying it would make me go but no such luck. I'll get back to the treadmill; I have plenty of good books to read - plus I know I won't want to leave the house once it gets cold.
Yesterday was the first day I was feeling well so we'll start there, even though I didn't do a great job eating. I can tell it will take a while to get back on track.
Breakfast - 2 tastycake cookie bars
Snack - Slurpee (I was drinking one almost every day when I was sick since the cold really made my sore throat feel better)
Lunch - 2 home made taco wraps
Snack - cherry coke
Dinner - 1 packet ring noodle soup, tomato juice
Dessert - bowl of lucky charms
Exercise - 1 mile treadmill
Today
Breakfast - Egg BLT sandwich, orange mango nantucket nectar
Snack - banana
Lunch - chicken salad club wrap, small french onion soup, diet soda
Snack - apple bagel w/butter, diet tea
I probably won't exercise tonight since I won't be home until 8pm and I want to spend some time with DH. He is transfering to a new store next week - getting out from under the new evil manager (she was telling everyone that he was faking sick just to get time off - DH never misses work for no reason, and he must have felt really bad since he actually went to the dr) and going back to working for his last manager with whom he gets along great. My dad is coming up this weekend to show me the proofs from the wedding so I can order my wedding album. I really can't wait to see how those pictures came out.

Hi Tracy and Chris!!
Thank you for the compliments on the wedding picture. I'm so happy to be able to share it with you.
Last night was good and bad food wise. Dinner was 2 helpings of three cheese hamburger helper, 2 helpings corn, and a handful of fries. Dessert was 2 halloween frosted cookies. It's really hard for me not to go back for seconds on dinner. For so much of my life I have eaten 2 helpings and now I always feel hungry after just one. I think I should try taking smaller amounts both times and see how that works out. I also didn't need those cookies, even DH said I didn't need them, but I wanted something sweet. At least there are only 4 more left.
DH switched shifts with someone at work so instead of closing today, he opens so I doubt I'll get in any walking when I get home from work since we'll be making dinner and I'm staying late again. However, tomorrow DH is working a double so when I get done work I'll have plenty of time to exercise.

Good job acknowledging what you need to change. What kind of plate/bowl do you use? Try using a smaller one when serving yourself, that's an easy way to cut calories. Also, if you're eating dinner in front of the TV (something DH and I are guilty of), you may be eating too fast and your body may not recognize when it's full.
Keep up the good work!
Cruise04

I had a hard time not going for seconds either and I just made sure I made more items to eat for dinner. Made sure to also eat a salad before eating my main meal. That really helped me out. I agree that maybe using a smaller plate or bowl might help too. Or like you said, measure out 1/2 a cup of something and then go back for the other 1/2 cup if you normally eat a cup. Or one half serving of something so you can go back and get the other half serving.
Another idea that was always told to us when I was in Weight Watchers was dish out your food and immediately put the leftovers away before eating. I have done that on occasion and it has helped me not go back and eat more.
Good luck
Keep on

Chris and goodeats - those are some great ideas. I think I'll be trying the half portion method at dinner tonight. I might need to get some new plates too - we have 2 sizes right now, regular and size of a slice of bread (and I have issues with my food touching so I doubt I could fit more than 1 thing even small sized on that plate).
Breakfast - bacon, egg, cheese on mutli grain bread and 4 slices bacon
Not the healthiest I know but less than $2 and very yummy and kept me from snacking all morning except for my banana which I knew I had to eat.
Snack - banana
Lunch - Lean Cuisine Beef and Broccoli w/rice
Snack - slice of choc cake
It's a good think I stuck with the LC for lunch. It was someone's last day and I gave in to a small piece of cake. I'll probably grab another snack around 4 or 5 (pretzels) since I'm here until 7:30 and I know I will be hungry before then.

I typed up a post yesterday but it refused to post and I forgot to copy the text.
Fri night I tried the whole salad before the main meal and also smaller helpings. It sort of worked even though I had seconds on salad. DH forgot to put the chicken in the oven when I left work so it was another hour after I got home before we could eat and I was so hungry. I guess there's nothing really wrong with 2 helpings of salad - even the dressing was lo cal. I still had 2 servings of cheesy chicken & potato but they were each a bit smaller than ususal. And no dessert either.
Yesterday I pigged out at lunch. I was a little cranky about our reservation issues (see my post on resorts board). Breakfast was lean cuisine meatloaf (the only other thing I had at work was oatmeal and I really didn't want that). Lunch was ham and cheese sub w/mayo and bacon, chicken noodle soup, salt and vinegar chips and regular root beer. Dinner was pretty good though, sliced cucumber, minestrone soup and tomato juice. Late snack was sweet tea. I was supposed to work out last night but I was having some intestinal issues that have also carried over until today (maybe its all the veggies?)
Today's food has been pretty good too. Breakfast was lucky charms. Morning snack was 4 slices of deli ham. Lunch was minestrone soup, ham and cheese sandwich, sliced cucumber, tomato juice. Afternoon snack was just some grape koolaid.
I'm going to try and take a half hour walk outside if my tummy allows. It has been in the mid/low 50's all week but today it is up in the mid 60's so I better take advantage of it.

Yesterday I did manage to get a walk in. The weather was beautiful for my ½ hour walk around the neighborhood. I didn’t really power walk, but it wasn’t a leisurely stroll. I’d like to get out today while the weather is still nice but even with leaving work early to be home in time for trick or treaters I’m not sure I’ll have time before they come calling. It all depends on the trains. Right now there is a transit worker strike and the only transit running are the regional rail trains so everyone is packing on them since there are no buses and they are predicting longer than normal waits, delays, etc. As long as I’m home before 5:30 I’ll be able to get a walk in.
Dinner last night was KFC. I had 1 drumstick and picked at a wing and thigh and 2/3 of a large mashed potato w/gravy.
I definitely didn’t have a healthy breakfast. I went to the cafeteria to get an egg and cheese sandwich and the guy make the egg and cheese part huge (of course I ate it all though) and I had a 4 slices bacon. Lunch will be better. I’m planning on veg barley soup and a ham and cheese sandwich w/lettuce, tomato and onion – no mayo. I also think I’ll skip my morning snack or just get a banana and have some tea w/honey (it will help warm me up too).

We didn't have nearly as many trick or treaters as I had expected and now we have plenty of candy left over. I think I'll be taking it to work so I don't pig out.
Snack - banana, tea w/honey
Lunch - veggie barley soup, ham and cheese sandwich
Dinner - salad, 4 fun size candies
Snack - 1/2 bowl of ramen
Exercise - 20 min walk
DH and I both had off today and we kinda vegged most of the day but he did make me breakfast while I was out for a walk.
Breakfast - pancakes, bacon, milk
Lunch - tomato and cucumber salad, minestrone soup,
Snack - fun size candy
Dinner - pot roast w/potato and carrots, 5 slices bread w/butter (I can't say no to fresh italian bread, good thing we don't have it more than every other week), glass of apple cider
Exercise - 30 min walk
I have come up with a few goals for Nov - journal all my food even if I'm having a bad food day (hopefully this will help me come up with a healthy way to eat that I can stick to it forever, and not just a diet), exercise 3x/week, take multivitamin every day, 5 disney mugs of water every day (not just when I'm at work and drink about 10). I may add to this later but this will be a start.
Food journal - 1/7
Exercise - 1/3 for the week
Vitamin - 1/7
Water - 1/7 I just came up with this goal now so I wasn't really following it today. I've had 2 mugs of water, and 2 glasses of crystal light (close to water right?) and I'm gonna fill up my mug again before bed. I'll count today since I really came close even though I didn't have a goal in mind until now.

Breakfast - 2 slices italian bread w/honey, special k w/skim milk

Lunch - 2/3 large garden salad w/creamy italian (not lite :(), chicken noodle soup
Dinner - 2 cheese, onion tomato quesadilla's w/low fat sour cream, 4 slices thin deli ham, tomato juice
Snack - glass of apple cider
I decided to count monday in my totals for the week since I'll never remember to start the week on a tues

Thanks for stopping by Tracy - while I haven't posted in your journal, your entire family is in my thoughts.
I'm still holding steady well above the 200 mark :( I'm sure that will change this month if I stick to my new plan.
Breakfast - 2 slices 12 grain toast w/pb, special k red berries w/skim milk
Lunch - bbq chicken wrap (chicken, lettuce, cole slaw, fried onions)
Dinner - will be bacon cheeseburger hamburger helper and probably some corn, I'm going to measure out my servings so each is only 1 cup (1 cup=1serving) and if I really need 2 helpings at least I have kept them to a reasonable size. UPDATE - I had 2 cups of hamburger helper, definitely much less than I usually eat but I was still full afterwards, and some corn.
Journal - 4/7
Water - 4/7
Vitamin - 4/7 (i'm trying to take it with my bc pills in the morning so i dont forget)
Exercise - 3/3 (I hope to get a walk in this afternoon before dinner, still have some laundry to put away but I think I'll put half away and then go for a walk) UPDATE - got in my walk and put away half the laundry. It was really getting dark when I walked and I never realized how few streetlights we actually have. I hope to get in another walk sometime this weekend.

So my new plan for Nov must be working. I've lost 3lbs this week - only 4 more to go to get back to the 190's.
Breakfast - fruit loops (less cals than the special k yesterday), skim milk, 12 grain toast w/marg
Lunch - takeout beef w/string beans and rice (I only ate half, I'm so proud), pint wonton soup, fortune cookie
Dinner - should be leftovers, maybe salad
Water - 5/7
Journal - 5/7
Vitamin 5/7
Exercise 3/3
Tomorrow will be a bad food day but I'm okay with that. We are going to see my dad and eating at a local diner that we love but don't get to eat at often (closed during summer and holidays which is when I visit my hometown the most)

Last night's food wasn't that good but I didn't show a gain this morning either. Some of the leftovers had gone bad and DH ended up eating the good stuff for lunch. He really wanted fishsticks but I was craving a burger so I said we should get wendys and he agreed.
Dinner - big bacon classic, fries, frosty
I don't plan on having breakfast today, just an early lunch since dinner will be around 4pm and I have to eat something before then. I forgot to grab a lean cuisine from home so I'll probably just get a hoagie and soup from wawa (my usual working weekend lunch). I know DH will be hungry again tonight after dinner since it's so early but I hope I can convince him to find something and let me eat just a little bit - like breakfast sized meal. Nothing wrong with eating lunch, dinner and then breakfast right?
Lunch - ham and cheese hoagie w/let, tom, onion, no oil or mayo, italian wedding soup
Dinner - cheesesteak, gravy fries, sweet tea
Journal - 6/7
Water - 6/7
Vitamin - 6/7
Exercise 3/3 hopefully tomorrow I'll get in a walk after work
We ended up going to the casino with my mom last night after getting my picutres from my dad. That meant no later dinner which was not a problem for me. We didn't win anything but we didn't lose that much either and we all had a greally good time.

Yesterday was okay but I didn't get any exercise in, the day just seemed to slip away from me.
Lunch - KFC chicken wrap, fries, 6 hushpuppies, nestea
Snack - coke slurpee
Dinner - sliced cucumber, ham and cheese sandwich, minestrone soup, tomato juice
Dessert - 2 pumpkin walnut cookies
Water - 7/7
Vitamins - 7/7
Journal - 7/7
Exercise - 3/3
It looks like I did a pretty good job last week on my goals. I was up again on the scale this morning but I think it has to do with my water consumption/salt intake yesterday. I have a feeling it will all be gone tomorrow. I did get in my 5 mugs but I think that wasn't enough compared to what I drink the rest of the week at work and with a saltier food day. I'm still keeping my goal at 5 mugs b/c that is much better than what I was doing before when I'm at home.
New week
Breakfast - frosted flakes, skim milk, 2 slices 12 grain toast w/marg
Lunch - large garden salad w/ff italian dressing, roll
Dinner - LC turkey dinner
Journal - 1/7
Water - 1/7
Vitamin - 1/7
Exercise - 0/3 probably won't get any in until thursday - I did clean the kitchen after work (swept and mopped too) but I won't count that as "official" exercise

Well another day of waiting for DH. His manager is making some calls tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. Right now he is suspended without pay until friday and hopefully his manager can get him back to work before then. Regardless of what happens DH has realized it is time to find a new job since he keeps getting kicked around at his current one.
Breakfast - strawberries and cream oatmeal
Lunch - will be hoagie and soup
Dinner - hopefully DH will make pasta sauce while I am at work and we'll have pasta
journal 7/7
water 5/7
vitamin 7/7
exercise 1/3
It looks like I'll finish up this week one day short on water (not too bad) and way short on exercise (doesn't stress burn more calories?). Hopefully next week will be much better all around.
My mom also decided to join us on our disney trip in Feb - wait before you say don't forget what happened the last time you did that - she has her own room at POP and we're at CR. We'll basically be eating together and touring together but we all will get some down time if we need a break from each other. Not staying in the same room is key. She's reallly excited about going since she hasn't been in almost 2 years. I was surprised that DH was the one who suggested she should come along. He really is a great guy.

Well, I'll first post what is going on with things then get to the food. DH has officially quit his job - they were trying to get rid of him and rather than let them fire him he decided it would be better in the long run if he quit. He has an interview tomorrow with UPS and on Thurs with Best Buy. I hope at least one of these pans out so he can start working again right away. I know they won't pay as much as what he had been doing but it shouldn't be too bad at least while he is looking for a permanent solution. He is also thinking about going to culinary school (something he has wanted to do for a long time) and this spring might be his opportunity. We'll definitely have to sit down and look at financials but I think we can do it. In the meantime this should help out my weightloss - no more eating out/fast food, bring my lunch to work, and no buying snacks at work. The exercise might fall by the wayside since I'll be working about 55hrs per week but I guess just the food intake should help out some.
Sunday
lunch - ham and cheese hoagie, chicken noodle soup, baked lays
dinner - pasta and meatballs - I overate, as usual and had lots of garlic bread
vitamin, journal, not enough water
Monday
lunch - pasta and meatballs - more reasonable this time
dinner - fish sticks and tater tots - went overboard on the tater tots
dessert - 3 pumpkin walnut cookies
vitamin, journal, enough water if you count the crystal light I drank
Tuesday
Breakfast - fruit loops, skim milk, bagel w/lite cream cheese
lunch - 3 cheese rotini bowl appetit
dinner - maybe kielbasa and potatos?
water, journal, vitamin
Hopefully the emotional eating is over. Please send good thoughts for my DH in finding a job quickly.

Thanks so much for the :wizard: Tracy!
DH's UPS interview got pushed back to friday due to the interviewer being sick. Hopefully we'll have some good news in the next couple days.
Dinner - kielbasa, potatos, corn (I used a really small plate b/c the big ones were in the dishwasher and the only thing I went back for was 2 more little slices of kielbasa)
water, journal, vitamin
Breakfast - fruit loops, skim milk, everything bagel w/cream cheese
Lunch - LC beef and broccoli, chicken noodle soup
Snack - 94% ff popcorn
Dinner - leftover pasta and meatballs
Dessert - 2 donuts (woops!)
water, journal, vitamin
I'm definitely feeling the TOM bloat. I weighed the same this morning as I did last night - usually I'm a few pounds lighter in the morning. I'm hoping for a nice woosh after this weekend when TOM is gone. I think even with the donuts I got in fewer calories than I have been eating in the past. That LC for lunch really makes a difference in calories and having a slightly larger breakfast than before keeps me from needing a snack in the morning - plus it's an easy way to get in my dairy.

Oh Steph - sorry I haven't been here for a while but I came and saw about your dh's work situation. I'm sorry to hear that. But around here working for UPS is a great job. Generally they make pretty good money and have decent benefits, depending on the position. So good luck to him!!!!
And you are keeping up with the goals you have set which is great. And you are like me, I don't like my food touching unless I made it touch on purpose. LOL And my dd does it to and I know she got that from me!!!! ROFL
Keeping your guys in my thoughts!!!!
Take care
Keep on

Grrr - I just tried to post for the past 3 days and it had an error. I really dont want to type it all out again so you'll get the condensed version. DH got hired at Best Buy - not full time but they will try to give him as many hours as possible. He goes to the culinary school on monday - I'm worried that we'll have a problem with our vacation. I don't know what the school's attendance policy is. I'm sure we'll argue over that one.
Food has been on track except for finishing up the last 2 donuts on Thursday. Water and vitamin have been there too. I'm ditching exercise for a little while. I'm only taking 1 day off a week now and after 11 hours at work the other days I'm not in the mood to exercise.
Breakfast - bagel w/cream cheese
Lunch - will be LC salisbury steak
Dinner - will be leftovers

DH and I went grocery shopping when I got home from work - we actually got lots of food and not just junk. Well DH did get some oreos but I won't be tempted by them. We were starving by the time we got done and DH really wanted some pizza so we got Papa Johns. That thin crust pizza is the devil. I ate 6 pieces!!! and there are only 8 pieces in the whole thing!! Oh well, I don't think we'll be having pizza again for a while so I might as well enjoy myself. I'll be getting home an hour before DH today and I have some much to do before he gets home. He really doesn't like to clean up after himself and the living room and computer room have gotten really bad since I usually don't have time to clean. I'm going to try and get them straighted (but not his desk - that is his problem to deal with) and vacuumed before he comes home. I know I won't be able to get anything done once he's there. I also have to put some laundry away but I can do that while he plays on the computer tonight.
Saturday
Lunch - LC salisbury steak and mac and cheese
Snack - slim fast peanut butter crunch snack bar
Dinner - 6 slices thin crust pizza
water, journal, vitamin
Sunday
Breakfast - bagel w/lite cream cheese, banana
Lunch - will be LC madarin chicken
Dinner - definitely some kind of leftovers

Thank goodness the Thanksgiving holiday is over. It was my excuse to eat anything and everything – from my favorite diner in my hometown, to popcorn at the movies twice, to numerous wawa hoagie runs, and of course Thanksgiving dinner. My water intake was horrible too. I did manage to take my vitamins all but one day (when I was at my mom’s house). My scale may be working again – I think it’s a battery problem – and I’m back up to 206. I was so happy to see 202 early last week but of course I couldn’t control myself. I’m hoping to see some of that disappear as I up my water intake this week.
Breakfast – total, skim milk, raisin swirl bagel
Lunch – salad w/ff honey mustard dressing, veggie barley soup (mainly just broth)
Snack – small piece of extra dark chocolate and I’ll probably have some popcorn lightly seasoned with olive oil and I’ll try really hard not to eat the whole bag! I wasn’t quite that good, I ate ¾ of the bag (3 servings) but at least I didn’t eat it all. I am so stuffed now though. I wish the little store downstairs sold them in smaller bags, then maybe I would be able to control myself.
Dinner – should be hamburger helper

I was feeling a little ill Monday night when I got off the train so dinner started out as just some Minestrone soup but a little later I was feeling much better and a lot hungrier so DH and I had some chicken nuggets and crinkle cut fries.
Yesterday I kind of splurged with food. Breakfast was bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and morning snack was the last of the popcorn. Lunch was some onion rings and chicken noodle soup. I had also ordered a chicken cheese steak but was full after the other stuff and I didn’t force myself to eat it. I just put it in the fridge and I’ll have it today. Afternoon snack was 5 dark choco Hershey kisses and boy were they so yummy. By the time dinner was ready I was famished. I guess I didn’t eat enough to fill me up at lunch. I had two servings of hamburger helper crunchy taco and some corn and green beans. I was very glad my pig out day wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
I’ve gotten back to getting in my water but I still “feel” a little bloated. Hopefully by the end of the week I’ll be feeling normal.
Today I had cheerios and skim milk for breakfast. I’ll have my cheesesteak from yesterday for lunch. I’m not sure about dinner since DH will be at work until 10 and I know I won’t wait that long to eat. Hopefully it will just be some soup and sandwich or some noodles and sauce.
I’ll probably leave work early today b/c I want to get a haircut. I’m going for something a bit shorter. I want to get it done with plenty of time to spare before Feb in case I don’t like it. That way I would be able to grow it back out a bit if I don’t like it or get the cut freshened up before we go if I do like it. I have to call a little later to get an appointment – if I can’t get one, then no leaving work early. DH has his second interview with the culinary school today. I don’t know if they’ll tell him whether he is accepted or not until after all his paperwork is reviewed but hopefully she’ll be able to give him a good idea whether he’ll be admitted. Supposedly his loan went through pending verification of his enrollment – at least we don’t have to worry about that. I hope it won’t be too long before he finds out since he’ll have to order uniforms and his equipment and classes start in a little over a month.
