disneyana convention

I accidentally posted this ? on the budget board, so now I will post it here! We were planning a trip to DL/DCA over labor day weekend and need to change it to the following weekend due to work schedules. ( I have to be "on call" labor day weekend):( anyway, my ? is...will the Disneyana convention increase the crowds in the parks? We can change the trip to the 1st week of Oct., but we really don't want to. We are planning on being there Sep.6th, 7th and 8th. TIA!!:smooth:

Well, Disneyana will have SOME effect, but it should not be that bad as nearly all schools are back in session by that time. If you really want to assure you won't hit crowds then go for October, but park hours are generally shorter then and the parade/fireworks schedules are curtailed. If you want September, then I would definitely go then. :)

I don't think Disneyana convention will affect the parks that much. We are only talking about 2000 to 3000 people.

However I believe someone has already posted that Fantasmic will be close for refurbishment.
