Anyone heard anything new about Midway????? We still have our reservations for Oct 29 returning on Nov. 4th--anybody else out there still holding on to their tickets in hopes everything turns out o.k.????

When i called Midway, they adjusted our flight times out of Hartford for our Feb. vacation. We are still holding them and have not heard anything else. I have called and they are still planning to run the flights from Hartford.

I know someone who works for Midway and she feels they'll be OK after this reorganization. We are holding on to our October reservations (the connection arrival time was adjusted by 5 minutes and they changed the plane from a CRJ to a 737) and I talked to Travelocity about it - if our flights are cancelled, Midway will have to rebook us on another airline. I think it'll be OK! (but it was a surprise when it happened! I was on the phone to Travelocity in seconds after I heard...)

I also have tickets for a Nov 3rd flight out of Philadelphia. My flight has not been changed or cancelled and all we can do at this point is hope they can reorganize and stay in business. I'd hate to have my flight cancelled at the last minute. Can you imagine what a nightmare that would be trying to get book a flight on another airline a few days before our scheduled departure.

We flew Midway last year and had decent rates, great flight times, and no problems. We got even better rates this year and that's why we booked with them again.

Right now it is a wait and see situation and all we can do short of cancelling (for a penalty of course) is hope this restructuring is successful.

My sister is a flight attendant for another airline and she mentioned that some of the cities Midway pulled out of are cities that they have added on over the past year or so. Here's hoping that they are successful in their re-organization. We have always enjoyed our Midway flights, and we sure would like to get to Orlando in Feb. on Midway.

We had tickets on Midway from Columbus Ohio for Sept 16-23, and they canceled the 10am flight and moved us to the noon flight. Well, this was not acceptable, so they said that they would cancel our tickets and refund the entire amount. Well that was Aug 14th, well we finally got full credit today, what a relief that was.
