Just got back from 4 nights at www.sherkston.com. During our mini vacation we spent two full days at Marineland. We purchased a day pass and upgraded to a seasons pass for $2 more each (reg. $5 more each but had a coupon). I haven't been to Marineland since 1990 and couldn't remember too much about it. But I will tell you, it was FABULOUS. The kids had a great time. Although it was a US holiday weekend, ALL rides were walk ons. The park seemed pretty much empty.

Highly recommend Marineland to those who are considering going.
Please feel free to ask any questions. As I mentioned, we were there for two FULL days and went on every ride and saw both the shows twice.

$8.50 each!! Wow, what a bargain. We were there on Saturday and on Monday. DD8 went on Sky Screamer 3 times in a row and called it "tame". I went on it once and said "Never again". It was too much for me. DS4 wanted to go on too was way way too short (thank goodness).

If you don't mind my asking, how many people did you have to have in a group to get the $8.50 tickets? DH and I paid $36.95 each and then paid $2 extra to upgrade to seasons passes.

Glad you had a great time. It is a great park.

Gawd that brings back memories. I worked there one summer at the Hungry Bear restaurant. I swear, that was quite possibly the worst job I had in my life. :guilty:

The park was fun, of course, but man. I remember feeling like I was in a sweat shop. It was funny, too, seeing the owner that we called "Yukon John" drive his Yukon into the park and just park it in the middle of the road since he didn't want to have to walk anywhere.

A nice place to visit; I'm glad I don't work there anymore. :teeth:

We needed 15 people to get the group rate. The trip I did was our homeschool group we ended up with 46 kids and 18 adults.
if I knew you were coming I would have gladly included you in my numbers.
I do this each end of May or beginning of June how is next year?
