Hey. Did your DH just take two smaller white globes and glue them to one larger one? If so what kind of glue did he use.

Thanks everyone! :flower: DH is at work, but I'll have him post how he made it tomorrow. I would try,but I'm sure I would just confuse you(and myself) :teeth: though it was pretty simple to put together once he designed a plan.
The globes are plastic and we just stumbled on them at a lighting store. He glued them together with clear silicone. The pole is 3 inch PVC painted black with some other PVC parts. The whole thing was made for less than just buying the pole ready made. Like I said though, I'll have DH post tomorrow!
Thanks again! :sunny:

I cannot wait either. I was there in the same loop when they were and saw it in person, way cool! I plan to make one for myself and for a good friend. (Hopefully she won't see this and figure it out.)

Nickimouse, if you don't want to post your " mickey light post" instructions, don't feel bad about it, just say so. I had a recipe for a chocolate chip pie, that my mother gave me years ago, every time I brought it to work people would just rave about how wonderful it was, people really wanted the recipe for months after but I really hated to give it because it was so very good and the only really special thing I had. One christmas event everyone was going on about it, so feeling good I gave out the recipe to everyone, needless to say at every event there after , there were dozens of " chocolate chip pies", well to make a long story short, just to mention pie at my work now makes people sick. When it's special to you , theres no shame in that . :rotfl:

terri01p, I have the directions saved in Word waiting for DH to go over it and make sure I have all of the information. There is one piece I wasn't sure about. As I have said before, he is very busy! I'm sure most folks can understand.
Trust me ! I have no problem sharing this fun idea.

What a great job. Thanks so much for sharing the idea & now the instructions coming too!
And chocolate chip pie sounds amazing too! I've never heard of it before. I'm sure we don't work or live near each other ... care to share? :rotfl:
I'm glad you posted that though terri01p, as there was, of course, the possibility that nickimouse (or her DH) didn't wish to share the actual instructions. Very glad that you do though! I don't know if my DH will be as happy as his to-do list is growing!

Nickimouse, I sense that my post offended you, it really was not meant to, that's why I'm very careful about what I post or reply on these boards, unless someone knows you the majority of the time simple comments can be taken out of context and seem harsh. I'm sorry, I really did get the fact that your DH was working , and I do understand that. It just reminded me of a simulator ( or so I thought) story. By the way my chocolate chip pie recipe burned in a fire 2 years ago and I never bothered to ask anyone for it after that , maybe I need to check into that now.
