Hi,

Would anyone know where I might be able to find vintage Disneyland park maps and/or tickets from 1955? I've searched eBay, but there wasn't as much listed as I thought there might be. Are the tickets and park maps from the opening year going to be really hard to find? I'd prefer to find items that are *not* necessarily in pristine condition as I'm not wanting to spend a fortune on these. Does anyone have any online resources for finding such collectibles? Might there be reproductions available? Any help anyone can provide would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
Amy

My guess is YES they are going to be very hard to find.

And to think... when I moved out after graduating from school (waaaaay too long ago) I threw away a whole drawer full of "A" and "B" tickets!! Probably some maps too! Wish I still had them!!

i looked on ebay for you and found a talking 1955 map. the seller's id is 007clint. and if you look under disney maps under any category, you will find other ones as well.

i hope you find what you are looking for.

Thank you, nemofanatic, for your eBay search results. I did a little more searching myself and found the book The Disney Treasures at Amazon which has reproductions of a map, newspaper, and ticket which I think will be perfect for what I am wanting to use them for. Anyways, I appreciate you taking the time to look for me and respond to my post. :-)

Dirkus - not quite the same value I'm sure, but I so wish I had saved my original Strawberry Shortcake dolls and accessories from the 80's...and I'm sure, with my luck, out of the few toys I do decide to trim from my daughter's toy chest one will most likely be the collector's item of the future. ;-)

Take care,
Amy
