These 5 a month challenges have been really helpful for me as I absolutely don't want to post that I didn't make my goal before everyone on the WISH board. :teeth: May has been a little challenging for me and I'm thinking I'm probably not going to make my goal for the Summer Challenge but June is a fresh new month so I am ready to try again with a clean palette.
This will work the same way as it has in all the other monthly challenges. Everyone starts the Challenge at 0/5
For every pound you lose you change the 1st number/5
Please post your vents, brags, congrats, challenges, etc!
Totals will be updated weekly on Mondays
A 2 pound loss will be tracked in Blue
A 5 pound GOAL loss will be tracked in Red
A 6-9 pound loss will be tracked in Purple
10 or more pounds will be tracked in Green!
Completed Challengers are marked in BOLD.

I need to get back on track on my weight loss and I've seen the 'wish' clipart but just found this board. I would like to be added if possible to the June challenge. What do I have to do? I need to get motivated, my trip is coming up and my son is getting married in less than a year... I need to get lots of weight off. :confused3

My very first challange/slash goal. It might be hard the last week of June though LOL 4 birhtdays in one week! dd 6/20, ds 6/21, dh 6/25, and mine one 6/26!!! Our anniversary is 6/28!!!!

Please sign me up for June! I took a month off from the 5 lb challenge because I was discouraged with my slow progress in March and April. But, I've increased my exercise schedule and am working on cutting down my portion sizes, and I'm ready to take the challenge!

My total goal is 50, but I'm finding it easier to think of it as 5 at a time, so I'm in, too! I didn't do so well for May, but at least I lost a couple of pounds. One at a time, right? :cool1: Yay, me! (And Yay to all of my 5 for May buddies!)

All you needed to do to be added was post on this thread which means that you have already been added! :cool1: Now you just need to WI once a week and post your weight loss on this thread like this - 0/5, 1.5/5, 5/5, and so on. Well, I finished the 5 for May Challenge at 4.8/5 so I was short .2 of a pound. I am starting this challenge at the weight I ended the other.

QuiltTeddy- I will be in same boat as you when I weigh tomorrow. I have been good all week, but now TOM is here and I am bloated beyond belief. Hoping for the Whoosh Fairy to come next week! Trying to stay motivated but with the loss going so slow (1-2 pounds a week which I know is normal and healthy) It stinks to get on the scale and see that gain (or lack of any loss) and have to wait a week for the scale to dip down. Esp when I have been so good! But- we can do it!! :cheer2:

I definitely fell off the wagon last weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. We spent the weekend in Cape May NJ in a B & B and it was lovely. It has taken all week to get my eating back under control. This weekend I am mostly by myself so I can make anything I want so I trying to keep it light. Will weigh in on Monday to see how I am doing.

Stayed the same but feel "poofy" lots of humidity here. I am back on track and plan to do a full week of writing and counting. Cheat night tonight and back to business tomorrow. I did it a couple of weeks ago and I can do it again. Thanks for everyone's great stories and success. Keep it up.

Again, my Saturday was too busy for me to have time to post so the update happened today.
I did not lose anything because I am retaining massive amounts of water. In fact, my scale is showing that I am up 0.8 of a pound so I am -0.8/5. I am also kind of taking this week off since I have a staff retreat Thursday and Friday with no way of controlling my food.

I think that I must be retaining a lot of fluid this week! I weighed myself this morning and I had put 4 pounds on :confused3 So I'm now at 10/5. Hopefully next week I will have got rid of the water and I'll be able to post a loss!

Had such a terrible week, PMS and just not in control, gained a ton and feel like ..... I am frustrated but am ready to get back on to the track. I just got off the treadmill and feel good about it. SO my new goal for the week is to deal with each day one at a time and walk each day. I hope to loose a chunk of what I gained. You can post me back to 0/5 but it is a bit back to where I was. I will do it, it will make my 20 goal for our trip a bit hard to achieve but I am not totally discouraged but know it is not too achievable at this time.

I'm still at 2/5 for the month, but I'm going to double my efforts. I think my main problem is eating when we're out with friends or eating out. I haven't forgotten this challenge just haven't had anything to report. I will by the end of this week!
Well I had a .6 gain at WW today, which puts me at 3.6/5 for this challenge. I have one more WI before the end and expect to JUST make it :rolleyes:

You guys must think I'm the worst host in the history of challenges! I'm so sorry I haven't been here to update. Life has been insane and I just got rid of a migraine I've had since last Sunday. Things are improving and slowing down a little too.
I just updated the list for last week and you have all been doing such an amazing job!! We have one more week to go. Just keep losing!!!

I did it! Finally, lost some more weight! I weighed myself today and lost an additional 1.5lbs after being stuck at 168 for a couple of weeks. I'm now 166.5. :banana:

I'm down 1.6 for a total of -0.2/5. I lost this week which was great but didn't lose very much which is kind of disappointing since I was very good last week.
Oh well. I'm counting this week as a full week for the challenge since Friday is the only day not in the month. Hopefully I'll post some kind of loss for the month! :sad2:

I've lost 4 so far (of course, averaging 10 miles a day for 11 days at WDW really helped this month, LOL!).
Well today was my final weigh in for the month of June and I lost .8 which puts me at 4.6/5 I didn't make the goal, but was close :rolleyes:

Lost another .5 for 4/5. I got close - almost made it. Too bad June doesn't have another week left. I think I need a 5 week month. Thanks for keeping track for us this month.

I didn't check in the entire month, for which I feel bad, but I had a vacation and the chaos at work that takes place both before and after vacations. Anyway, I managed to lose 3/5, putting me at a total of 7 down. Oh, well, there's always next month.

Well, I have officially closed out the 5 for June Challenge. The list is updated and all the challengers who finished are listed in BOLD. Everyone did a wonderful job and I am happy to see that so many were wonderfully successful.
On a personal note, I am just happy that I posted a loss for the month, even if it was only 0.6 of a lb. With a two week break from counting points and a 1.8 lb. gain, it has been hard to start moving the other way again but I'm happy that I'm on my way down.
Good luck to everyone in their continued WL journey. On to the 5 for July Challenge!!!
