News, Notes, Accomplishments:
Welcome to the June Exercise Challenge! For this one, any type of exercise counts! Be it swimming, dancing, doing lunges, gardening...it's moving!

I'm letting you guys know up front that there are a few weeks where I may not be able to update~! Thanks!
Hey! Time to update! I'm not feeling so hot on the exerciseometer today. But I have faith! It's only the first week of June! Soon it will be sunny and time for swimming (cue Just Keep Swimming from Finding Nemo). I have faith that we can all do this! Sunny days ahead, stormy ones behind, WE CAN DO THIS!, we'll look so fine! Stay safe, have fun and remember to post your totals!
Congrats to DuckMan, sm4897 and cwnhokie for being the first Middlies!!! :) I'm so proud of all y'all. You've come such a long way! Let's keep it going. Two weeks down, two left!!~! Remember: I try to update every day of the weekend, so I'm sure all of us can at least be middlies by Monday! Keep going strong everyone!

For the very first time, I'm going to miss my May goal because I have not exercised much at all while we are visiting in CT/NY. I will post my final total when we get home on Tues for May, & I will get a fresh start in June and get back to my usual standards of making goal every month.

I'm keeping with 800 minutes as I did for May. I have a feeling as the weather warms up it may become more difficult to keep pace.

I'm in for this challenge as well, but will start out slowly with ~ 20 minutes a day. I have to work a week long conference in Florida (alas, not in Orlando) and while I'm be hopping all day, it won't exactly be dedicated exercise time. So put me down for 500 minutes.

Thanks for doing this again--it really does encourage me to get out there. Put me down for 450 minutes. I will be leaving on 6/21 for Hawaii :cheer2: and will not have access to the internet to post, so this is what I plan to accomplish before we fly out.
I'm in for 800 minutes. I hope I do much better than May when I didn't complete. I think things are going to settle down a bit around here and with any luck, I'll be able to make my goal. Better yet, make up for what I didn't do in May!

Please count me in for 1500 minutes! I am going to count a lot of the time I spend on my feet next Friday and Saturday working with Special Olympics. I will literally leave my home by 6:00 a.m. each day and expect to be home by 11:00 Friday night and by 5:00 Saturday, and have absolutely no expectation of sitting down at all either day (except when I get a potty break :) ), so, even some portion of that time should take me very close to my goal this month!

I know what you mean.. my 1st time to and also signed up for 750... break it down to 25 a day for the next 30 days doesnt seem so hard.... :rolleyes: (yeah right huh).. tried to stay on track.... did my 30 and 25 for the 1st 2 days :rotfl: now its raining hard here in Delco,Pa so I have to wait till I get to work and use the indoor parking lot for todays minutes... 55/750 total... will not be able to post next week.. going on a week long training but atleast there's the Hotel gym :cloud9: we'll see what happen!!!

That is just Wed & Thurs, but I wanted to post on time instead of late like I usually do. I'll add what I do tonite to next week's total. I feel like I am starting to get back on track after missing goal last month for the first time since we started these challenges. I have tried to convince myself that didn't bother me, but I'm seeing that it really did, so I really want to go over goal this month! Now, if someone could just turn down the humidity here in FL, that goal would be awhole lot easier! :earseek:
Thanks so much for doing this challenge! I was losing motivation after missing goal last month, but reading this thread and adding the clippie to my sig has gotten me excited about exercise again! :cheer2:

Hey Perfectmatch300 I'm in Florida too, and we are mall walkers....I did 90 minutes on 6/1 and 6/2; we have some nice people who are ready for med emergencies if needed! Hope that it never gets to that for me as i WISH to stay healthy.

It's almost paradise, but just a little too far from Mickey (about 3 hours' drive). by the way it's pouring rain here too.
Moved here in Pa in '91 originally from San Diego!!! It rain the whole day today and maybe tomorrow too... hi of 82 plus humidity on its way on Sunday.... Did not really get to walk.. got busy with work.. but manage to do the steps for 25 minutes!!! :disrocks:

I would like to sign up for 1500 min for June. Just got back from WDW this morning so I will claim 90 min per day wile at the park and and extra 1/2 hour for Thursday when I walked from OkW to Saratoga Springs. With a 390 min kick start, maybe I can actually meet the goal.

I am adding on 120 minutes for this past weekend. We spent the weekend walking around Cape May NJ. We climbed the lighthouse and even did a 90 minute ghost tour on Sat. (we walked and stood do the entire 90 minutes don't count). I even found out on the tour that the room I was staying in was haunted.
So 255/1000 for the month of June

Not an impressive week, but I'm up to 325 minutes for the month. I haven't out in an time exercising or walking so all of my time this week came from the walking I do during working hours, which isn't much. For those miles I multiply the distance times 20 minutes/mile to track the minutes walked.
