June/July visits

O.K., I have read on other threads about people going during these months, but hardly anyone has stated Ft. Wilderness as their destination. I guess I will start as June is fast approaching, so who's going in June or July and who is in your party? I will be there with bunches of kids June 11 to June 26 and then some of the kids leave (with their parents) and then I will be there with my 5 youngest until July 31. If you see them playing kickball in front of Mickey's backyard bbq, stop and say hi! I am hoping that we will be in the 1700 loop but they may not be able to honor our request.

We will be camping for the first time in our popup! We arrive June 13 and leave on the 23. We have requested 100 or 200 loop. In our party will be me (the single mom), my daughters (10 and 14) and my older DD's best friend (also 14). If you see a crazed woman having problems with the popup then it's me!

1st two weeks-- dd 10, ds 8, dd 8, dd 6, dd 3 and my (all belong to me)
best friends crew-- dd 11, dd 11, ds 5, and borrowed child, boy 11

after June 26 mine and any others my husband feels the need to bring while visiting :rotfl:

looking at the posted answers, I think our kids will find plenty of other kickball players without a problem.

We will be at Fort Wilderness June 13-21. Planning to fly & pitch our LLBean Dome tent somewhere in Loop 1500. There are four of us, Me :earsgirl: (50), DH :earsboy: (50), DD :earsgirl: (18) and DD's boyfriend :earsboy: (18).

Hi! We will be there July 9-16 in our RV. Requested a preferred site but there was no more left, so we are stuck with full hookup with no cable like suckers. :rotfl: I think they are going to put us in the 1300 loop. We have never stayed here at FW before but are really looking forward to it. We love camping and can't wait. :banana:

We will be there July 7 -15. :cool1: It will be DH, Me, DS (10), and DD (8). We bought our first popup in February but have only used it once. I hope we remember what to do. :rotfl2: If any of you are going to be there then and you see a couple of idiots who don't know how to set up their popup, please take pity on us and help. :blush:

I went to FW in May 2003 and I am going back July 29 to August 7. The last time we went I had a travel trailer and this time we are taking our new fifth wheel. I remember the last time we went it was a tight squeeze getting my travel trailer in the spot and that trailer was only 25'. The fifth wheel we purchased is approximately 39' so I am hoping they give us a good spot. I am going with my wife, 3 kids, and MIL. We have been to the DW complex several times and we have throughly enjoyed it every time. I am from the Houston area so it does not get much hotter than it already is here.

Just got back from FW yesterday. We do not tent it but there were many campers in tents. Lots of kids having a great time.

Is that cart a gas powered cart with lifts? I think I saw that cart before by the 300 loop playground. My cart is a white club car with a mickey sticker on the front, tinkerbell sticker (simply spoiled) on the front bumper and get a life sticker on the windshield. Always looking for new stickers for the cart.

No- it's an electric. I'm sure you haven't seen it, because we just painted it the other day. :) We bought a '85 EZ-GO off E-bay a couple of months ago (for about the price of 1 1/2 week's rental- a pretty good deal!), but it was faded-out pink. So we painted it navy and orange. :)

(I'm AuburnJen92's DH, by the way. :) )
