What else you receive usually depends on whether you bought direct or a resale. Also, don't be surprised if you receive at least one other set of cards. We received 3 sets....no idea why. Welcome!
We bought through DVC and received a tote bag, a kit that gives you information on rewards for referring people to DVC, and a plastic license plate. You should also receive a DVC Vacation Guidebook that outlines everything about membership. It used to be a 3 ring binder, but will be changed to a soft cover book at the end of September. It took us about 10-12 weeks to get everything. Not sure about non-Disney purchases, but all you really need is the guide book. The other items are nice but not essential. You should receive a quarterly DVC informational magazine as well - called Vacation Magic.
Is your guide Betty Pleasant? If so you are in great hands. She was our guide.

Thanks for the replies! BobH, we did receive the tote and 3-ring binder with membership information. I think I'm looking for copies of our contract?/etc. I guess you get this after your deed is recorded? I was just wondering when people have rec'd these last items.
I didn't get to call Betty today--our guide's name is Betty Prikryl. Your Betty "sounds" nice, LOL. Our guide has also been very nice.
DH is impatiently awaiting our copy of the "Vacation Magic".:p

We put a deposit down the first week of Oct. 2000 We got our paperwork in about 10 days and signed it. I believe we had our contract copies about the middle of November. We received a letter saying our deed had been recorded a few weeks later. WE received a copy of the deed the first week of January. I imagine this can change depending on how many real estate transactions are taking place, but this will give you some idea of the timeline.
Welcome Home!
