I'm not all that familiar with posting on message boards like this, so please forgive me if I make a mess of this. This is my first time posting here.

I'm a Florida resident and I'm planning a Disney vacation with my brother. He's coming from Connecticut and I want to make sure I can give him the best vacation possible, but we have a bit of a limited budget.

I've been to Disney numerous times, but usually they've only been day trips to Epcot for the Food & Wine Fest or the Flower & Garden Fest, and they've always been on someone else's ticket. So, here are some of my questions. I hope someone out there can help me with some advice.

1. I would like to purchase tickets that would allow my brother and I access to the parks on July 3rd, 5th, and 6th (we'll be going to Tampa to visit friends on the 4th). If I purchase the basic three day ticket (no options, such as "Magic Plus" or "no experation" or "Park Hopping"), can we still skip July 4th?

2. If I purchase these tickets off of Disney.com, how long will they take to arrive?

3. Will Disney.com allow me to purchase 1 Florida Resident ticket and one non-Florida resident ticket at the same time? I've been fooling around with their web site, and I can't see how to do that. But then, I'm not all that familiar with buying stuff over the internet.

4. Will the basic tickets allow us to leave the park for a couple of hours and then return to the same park? I'm concerned about checking into our hotel (Pop Century). We're arriving early on the 3rd, but I found out that PC check in isn't until 3:00pm. If we go to Epcot for a couple of hours, can we leave around 3:00pm to check in, drop off our luggage, and then return to Epcot? I don't think that qualifies as Park Hopping, but I want to double check to make sure.

I think that's all the questions I have for now, though I'm sure more will "Pop" up shortly.

Thank you!

Welcome to the DIS!!! :disrocks:
Let's see if I can help you out.
When you buy a 3 day ticket, you do not have to go 3 consecutive days. But, if you get the ones that expire, I believe they have to be used within 14 days of purchase. Also, if they are not hoppers, you may exit and re-enter the same park on the same day. Just remember to have your hand stamped and have your pass/ticket with you. As a Florida resident you are entitled to discounts on your ticket. Here is a link to more info:

It might be easier/faster for you to just purchase the tickets at your local Disney store.

As far as check in, you can check in what ever time you want. Your room may not be ready so they will store your luggage for you, get you all checked in and you can go to a park, or where ever. You'll have a number to call and see when/if your room is ready. Almost always by check in time 3/4pm. Then you can just call bell services from your room and they will bring up your luggage.

Hope this helped answer a few of your questions! Let us know if you have any more! :teeth:

There is no savings in buying 3 day tickets in advance. As Desnik said, you can check in to your hotel and drop your luggage with Bell Services. You will get the room keys which will be valid for charging immediately.

You can purchase your tickets at check in, be prepared to show your Florida DL to get the Florida Resident discount.

The three day basic ticket is good for one park per day for any three days and expires on the 14th day after first use. If you leave a park in midday be sure to get your hand stamped. You can reenter that same park withoiut extra charge. Unless you purchase the hopper option you cannot go to another park on the same day.

After 3:00 you can call your resort front desk from any phone on property and they will tell you your room number. When you gt to the room call Bell Services and they will bring your luggage to you.

Thank you for responding, Cheshire and Disnik! You've been a big help. I had also thought to buy my tickets through AAA and get their discount, but it does look as if they sell three day tickets for non-FL residents. There is a Disney store about half an hour from where I live, so I can probably get the tickets there.
