There are a number of items that have gone up: ie the fountain that used to cost 200 credits is now 800.

Also, there are specials in each room. You need to go to each store to see the specials for the day, but the prices there seem higher as well.

What is going on?!

Maybe it has something to do with the gas prices...ya know the cost has to come from somewhere!
(Not sure about your town, but our gas was $2.35 last night - this is what I am referring to.)

I noticed price increase last night as I was buying film to do the hidden Mickey quest using my dh's character. Went through credits like crazy!

I just got my best score so far on the fireworks, 216,627! I'm getting better! I won the game too, I guess I was playing with others at my own level. :teeth:

In reference to the new room Discovery Island, it states you will get codes in certain boxes of Kellogg's cereal. I am excited about this since I live off of Apple Jack's and Rice Krispies :) :) :)

Went to Wal MArt today and they did not have any of these boxes out yet, so let's keep checking and someone post when they see them on the cereal aisle! The codes are better than any toy they could shove in the cereal box ;) (well, maybe not my Star Wars light up spoon :rotfl: :rotfl: ).

I noticed a couple of other things today, as well. Fireworks game.. the shapes let off a white light now just before they are gone. A clue to when to click on them :) And, the FINALLY fixed the Jungle Cruise game. You aren't wasting gas anymore before you get on the boat!!! :)

Ok, after playing MANY games of Fireworks today, I decided to really make the most of my vacation! LOL

I have earned a lot of credits coming up with these pointers! Now these are just observations and not really "rules of play". I cannot tell you they will always work due to gitches in computer, speed of play, ect.

1). As we know there are 8 total symbols by the end of the 5th round.
2). In rounds 1-3, you always begin with the gold/yellow sun (2nd symbol from left).
3). In rounds 4 and 5 you begin with the purple pretzel (3rd symbol from the left).
4). I have noticed that if you only have one firework on your screen, wait until another appears to click on the original firework, and then only do it after a few seconds.
5). Wait until the firework is begining to flicker rapidly to click on it. If you time it just right (yes, i also listen to the music, LOL) you will get a "flawless" score.
6). As we know, there is a bug in the system that you only get the firework magic pin if you score above 240,000 points but still lose to somebody! :sad2:
7). This one was said before, but you need to click on every firework, even if it means getting a "good" score. Ex: Two fireworks appear on screen away from each other. Instead of timing it and only clicking on one firework to get a "flawless" score, go ahead and click on both to get "good" scores. I can usually time it and get a "good" on one and an "excellant" on the other ;)


Below I have typed out what my last scoring was at the end of each round. I also use this guide as I am playing to make sure I am staying focused and on track. I am hoping it will help you all out too!

Level 1 FANTASYLAND:
Round 1~12,177
Round 2~26,448
Round 3~42,544

Level 2 ADVENTURELAND:
Round 1~55,184
Round 2~67,778
Round 3~85,130

Level 3 TOMORROWLAND:
Round 1~97,243
Round 2~112,828

Round 3~239,716


The times I get above 240,000 I am generally ahead of each of these rounds by at least 800 points. When I come up with more tips I will post, or anyone else is free to give us their pointers as well :)

Ok, to add to the above:
8). I just realized they changed it so that as each firework is about to fade out, it turns into a white star.

Alright. Here is my take on playing byt the "white-star" method. You need to time it just right. It is easy to be distracted by waiting for the white star rather then paying attention to what other type of firework is coming up. The last game I played, I did it by the white-star method only. I ended up doing worse than normal. LOL. I recommend doing this: Only use the white-star method when there is slow play with fireworks. Only use it when 1 firework is appearing on the screen at one time. This goes hand in hand with Tip #4! Use this to your advantage!
Now, why I did worse than when I did it before the white-star method, is because while I did end up getting a whole lot more "flawless" I also missed out on several firework clicks! That is why I say to combine them.

Hope this helps and you can understand it! :earseek: If not, feel free to contact me about it. I don't mind teaching others to get above 230,000 at the least (I can't promise me always getting above 240,000 with these tips!).

It is in your wardrobe with the chair symbol. Most of us had to log off and then log in again and then it showed up in the shirt symbol. :)

For those of you that are wanting to know where the special boxes of cereal are, I found some at the #2 busiest Wal-mart in US near Atlanta. The special box says that you can get your own pirate room (skull room) if you start at www.KelloggsFunKTown-vmk.com but I can not figure out how this works as of yet. pirate: ARG

Also, FYI, the box has a VMK symbol on the front top.

Well, I'm green with envy! All you that are able to play fireworks. I have not been able to play at ALL for the past week! Every time I try, I click on play, wait for the other players to join, the clock to run down, and then it takes me to a black screen then BOOM! I'm back in the Fireworks lobby. I always try to get in 3 times in a row before I give up. One day, it wouldn't even let me in the lobby it keeped kicking me out in to the Gallery.

Is anyone else having this problem? I bet it's just me! Does any one know who I get in contact with on VMK to let them know the problems that I am having?

That's what's happening to me, but with Pirates. I told one of the game CMs, and she told me to report it. So I reported it using Call a Cast Member, saying Something else is bothering me. I've reported it twice, but so far it hasn't been fixed.

Sometimes I get bumped out into the gallery from Fireworks, but that's after I play. And I have a lag of a couple of minutes usually after playing before I can move again.

And to anyone who talks to me in the game, sometimes I have a huge lag either while I'm typing, or until what I've typed comes up, or both. So please be patient! :blush: And if you give up, I don't blame you!

I don't know if these problems are because I'm using Safari on a Mac? :confused3

Hi,

MissBelle and Bezoar "own" the rooms with coffins for the teleporter lobbies, to link to the Dis Common room. You'll need to place one coffin in your room, and pass one coffin to one of us in VMK so we can place it in the lobby.

Keep an eye out for me; I'm frequently in Central Plaza with some other oldsters. :)

What I usually do with strangers is wait to click accept until I see that they have clicked their accept. This way I can control when the item I am trading away is to be taken.
But yes, I have been fortunate enough not to have this happen yet. I too, am leary of trading out any of my Magic Pins, but furniture, clothing, ect I am not too worried about. Then again, I have so many credits racked up from fireworks that i don't really care ! LOL.

I'm really surprised that these new codes are not 1-time codes -- I'm sure Kellogg's will have something to say to Disney when they realize that the incentive to increase their sales has dwindled to nothing. So many people were talking about buying boxes and boxes of cereal, and I kind of doubt that would happen any more.

Oh, and I'm also surprised because in VMK, the only way to share the codes will be to tell people to look on the online boards, which seems to be something Disney does NOT want to happen (i.e., kids having unsupervised contact in outside forums).

So, I'm curious what will happen. I wouldn't be surprised if future "incentives" for VMK are made 1-time use.

To get the Buried in treasure pin using the pin code:

1) click on the "Chair" button
2) select the "Codes" tab
3) enter the code; you will now have the pin added to your inventory

Next you need to wear the pin:
1) click on the "Chair" button
2) select the "Pins" tab
3) select the Treasure magic pin and click "wear"; now you are wearing the pin

In the game, you have two ways to activate the pin:
1) Click the "magic wand" button and then double-click the magic pin, OR
2) Say the magic word the way you normally say things in the game; it is case and punctuation sensitive

Anyone notice that the BlingBling! pin has the "combine" option? Anyone know what's that all about??

The same type of magic pins can be combined, for longer duration and faster recharge. (I think with combined fireworks magic, you get more bursts too.)

You can tell whether your own (but not someone else's) pin is combined by the number of stars on it. It starts with 1, and rumor has it, can be combined up to 5 total. I have a 3-star invisibility pin, and it lasts quite a bit longer.

It's interesting that the Bling pin can't be traded, because that gets rid of a cheap, quick, and dirty way to get a 5-star Bling.

For those of you that are wanting to know where the special boxes of cereal are, I found some at the #2 busiest Wal-mart in US near Atlanta. The special box says that you can get your own pirate room (skull room) if you start at www.KelloggsFunKTown-vmk.com but I can not figure out how this works as of yet. ARG

I bet since these boxes were not supposed to go on sale until Monday June 27th which is launch day the Kelloggs site will not be working until then.

Was anyone else having trouble staying on tonight? I was lucky enough to stay on long enough to get my 100 points for finding everyone, but it took me almost two hours to do that, because the game keeped crashing on me, it did it more than once. I finally just gave up and didn't play my usual game of Jugle Cruise.

Capecad was nice enough to help me out in the pirates game, and not only did it continue to kick us both out, but I KNOW we won more than 10 games, but I'm still on level 2. It won't move me up! So from then on, each game we won (which was EVERY ONE), it gave me only 15 credits. Still no level 2 pin. :( Ugh!

THANK YOU SO MUCH CAPECAD! I am so much better at pirates now! That pin is w/in my grasp... as long as VMK actually moves me up! LOL :rotfl:

Probably because the game was closed. It typically runs from 10am - 1am Eastern time (7am - 10pm Western time). The clock countdown is sometimes correct, sometimes not. Don't count on it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try later today. Oh, but I never got the pin either! Just the 125 credits, then 15 thereafter for each win! I wish VMK was open early in the morning (I'm on the East Coast). How nice it would be to play when the kids are still in bed! :)

ME TOO!!!! I was playing POC with Holly, CapeCad,and a few other DISers when during play everthing kept hanging up then after we finished the first round it sent me back to the Pirates Lobby then directly off to some shop not Neds but another one then off to a room called Peace and Quiet! (was it trying to tell me something?) then I could never get back to the POC where everyone else was because they were not in my friends list. I think I have sent friend request to them but they did not accept them yet so I lost them.

Then finally got booted completely from the game so I came back as my alterego Malika and just went shopping with the credits LeanaSpin was so nice to give us yesterday.

Hi, my name is TwirlerGirl and I'm addicted to VMK. Boy, this is so strange, I've never really liked game on the computer but I'm hooked. I love the POTC game. Last night the system kept on crashing, I needed my fix so went over to Fireworks which gave me a lot of problems too. Oh the bugs, the bugs! HollyJoy, WTG with a high score on level three!

I'm not a trading expert, but I didn't think this was possible. Just do NOT click on the "Accept" checkbox until you are satisfied with what they are offering in return. If you click on "Accept" after you've offered something and when they are offering nothing, they may assume that you're just being nice and giving them stuff free (which I've done a few times for newbies).

What 100 points for finding everyone? Finding who?

Every day go double click on:

Esmeralda (In the Emprium) = 20pts
Ned (In Shrunken Ned's Store)= 20pts
The Dragon (In the Dungeon) = 20pts
Blackbeard (In his treehouse) = 20pts
Yeti (In the Matterhorn)= 20pts

Total = 100pts

If you haven't already done that then the first time you do it it will be 40pts for each character and you get a pin. Then every day go back and find them again, you will get the 20pts for doing so.

Then the next thing I do is go to the music game. I get 10pts for making a new song, and another 10 pts every hour for playing a song. So every hour I can make another 20 pts. It use to be 10 pts for every time I played a song, but they changed it!

Then play the Jungle Cruise game, you get 20 pts every time you play. If you are lucky enough to make it to the top 10 you get another 100 pts. Haven't done that yet, still having a lot of trouble with the program. But when it's running well, I can get over 20,000! If it's running bad, then I'm lucky if I make it to 10,000.

I'm still trying to get into the Fireworks game, it's still just kicking me out.
And I have yet to really try to do the Pirates game.

I'm not sure exactly what happened, but conceivably it might have been legitimate. Did you actually lose items, or just not receive the game prize? There's actually no way to "give" an item to another player, except by using trade.

If you select no items of your own to give to them, and they offer items to give to you, you still both need to click "Accept" for the gift to be sent to you. They might have booted you because they didn't want to bother explaining.

If this were the case, don't feel bad. I've heard of other people who have not done the "trade" thing before and were worried that they would get ripped off. Just remember: unless you put your items into the "offer" boxes, they can't get them; but if you do put items there and click that "You accept", they can take them.

As far as I know, the Dance Inferno pin is currently not winnable in any games, nor available from codes. So far, they have been given as prizes and gifts by VMK cast members.

a couple of days after joining i dreamt i was on this monorail taking pictures of hidden mickeys in main street then i found this hidden island and whenever you clicked these trees they turned into people and started singing and dancing
and also other things i think it was joined with toontown as well because you had to fight these robots like in toontown

Just got through playing the Jungle Cruise. They have changed it up. Just since last night. You get more film when you pick it up out of the river, and your gas dosen't go quite as fast as before. Then instead of the ship creates that they use to have that you had to go around, they now have small rocks. And each time you to through a section of the game they are in different places from the last time you were last through. All the points have changed on the animals, so if you had them all memorized, forget what you know. Birds that you to be of 300 points are now not even worth 100 points. And animals that you didn't even get 100 points for are now worth more. Then they have all the animals in new places. Even put in a few more lions. So if you haven't played in a while go back and check it out.

Also, do you get points just playing the Pirates game. Like when you play the Jungle Cruise or the Music game you can get between 10 to 20 points just for stopping by. Do you get that on Pirates or Fireworks? I have finally been able to stay in the game long enough to actually play but I didn't get one of those e-mails saying that I got points.
