Anyone gotten the new Disney Visa designs yet?

Hi all,

I called for my new Disney Visa design, the Mickey one, the day it was posted. Must have been 2 1/2 weeks ago or so? I was wondering if any of you guys have gotten yours yet? I'm still waiting, and I thought they said it would only take a week or so.

I had requested the castle card. Well,
I received what was supposed to be it
in like 7 days. But, it was the wrong design.
So, I called them back and they are supposed
to be sending me a new one. So, they
were pretty fast, but not accurate in my case.

Can I request the new card designs now even if my current cards don't expire until March 2006? My DH doesn't want the new castle card but I would like one. He is the primary account holder and I am secondary. Can I request the castle card for me and leave his alone? He thinks it is bad enough that he has to carry a Mickey card at all (so he says . . . I think he is a closet Disney lover). ;)

I think you can only have one card design per account. That is how I understood it. My DH didnt want a different card either, but he hardly uses his so I ordered the castle design anyway. :cheer2:

I ordered mine not too long after the new card designs were first posted here... I'm still waiting for my HCOE card. Hopefully it'll come soon! :)

I believe you can only have one design per account. You can also still order a card even if yours doesn't expire yet. Mine doesn't expire till 2008. If you don't call to order a replacement card, you will automatically be sent the red pixie dust card but it will now state "Chase" on the card instead of "Bank One".

The phone number to order one is 888-315-4225. They state that your new card will arrive in 14-21 days. I originally ordered the castle but since it stated "50th anniversary" and was to represent Disneyland, I changed my mind (didn't want to have that card for 3 years) and called back to order the Mickey design.

Mine just came in the mail today!! I picked out the castle design - it is so pretty! My DH isn't going to be thrilled with it though... Oh well!! I like it!! :) It took almost 3 weeks for them to arrive.

Got my new card yesterday. I like the look but am peeved because:
1) The verification call sticker is impossible to remove. What a mess!
2) My old card had just expired last month and I had just received an old card with my new 2008 expiration dates few weeks ago. This required that I call all of the places that do automatic bills on my card (cable company, newspapers, cell phone, home phone, alarm system, rental cars, etc.) to update my info. It took lots of time. Now I get the new Chase card and the expiration month is changed so I had to spend time making all the calls again. Gr-r-r-r. Guess I am just crabby today...

I got my castle cards yesterday. They are nice. I agree, the glue was near impossible to get off. I took a little oil (crisco) and put it on a paper towel and rubbed the glue off of it. It didn't take long to receive it and I never did get the new red-pixie card.

I got my Castle Cards today too....

I was glad that it still said "Charter Member".. member Day 1 on them.
They are lovely, and I cannot wait to use them next week!

I also got my Disney Rewards card too..... not too much money.. only about 60 bucks. I have been putting items on my LLBEAN before I realized we were going to go to Disney!

I ordered the Vintage Mickey on May 17th. Still haven't gotten my card yet.

I just phoned Chase and was told that it can take 14-21 BUSINESS days.

::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo We have 2 accounts. One in my DH's name and one in mine. I ordered both about a week and a half ago and got my DH's yesterday. Castle design. We are using this one while on vacation and to pay for vacation things beforehand. I agree that the glue was a pain to get off. Both the front with the verification sticker and on the back where it was pulled off of the paper it came on. :earsboy:
I am hoping to receive the one from my account today since I ordered them at the same time (actually I put in the call on mine first). I ordered Vintage Mickey for my account. :earsgirl:

I was told that some designs were on backorder. From this board, it seems that a lot of people ordered Mickey and haven't gotten it yet. Maybe Mickey was one that was on backorder.

Get some Goo-Gone (sold at Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc.). It removes the sticky residue from virtually anything.

I've been waiting at least a couple weeks and nothing yet. We have 2 different accounts so I got the Vintage Mickey on one and the castle on the other.

The glue was quite a pain. We finally got it off with Clorox bathroom cleaner first and then wiping with alcohol. Never had such a sticky mess on a credit card before.

But Bambi is quite cute, so it makes it all OK. :love:

Timing was great...we paid off the balance of the account last Tuesday :banana: and the new card came Friday!!

I can't believe it, I finally got my Mickey card today....YEAH

Also, I must have gotten lucky because my sticker was easy to remove. Just peal up one corner of the label and pull slowly. I didn't even have to use my un-du.

Hope everyone else gets their card soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. It's very cute...Mickey will look cute in my wallet...

I am the OP and I FINALLY got mine today!!!!!!!!!!! As a matter of fact I got 2 LOL. 2 envelopes each with 2 cards. I got the Vintage Mickey and my sticker pulled right off too, I was so glad after hearing all the sticky stories.

Yippee!! I got my second set of cards (got my DH's set from his account already with Castle) with Vintage Mickey. Both sets of cards had lots of sticky on them!! What a mess trying to get it off. I think I got most of it off. Ready to put them to use!! :hyper2:

Just got my Vintage Mickey card.. it says DAY 1 in the one spot and DVC under my name. HAve the glue issue though..

a little polish remover on a cotton ball will get rid of that glue no problem.

Got our cards today but were a few things not right.

1. When the new designs were ordered, we were told that we could each have a different design but we both ended up with the castle.

2. They sent us two cards in each name. This wouldn't have been quite so odd if each envelope included one card in each name, but we got two cards with the same name in one envelope.

3. They did not change "Charter Member" to DVC.

We called Chase and they said we could order a second design so we could both have the design we wanted (so now we'll have at least 6 total cards for this one account) and they again requested that DVC be added.

I'll keep you posted.

PS Have the sticky glue as well. Anything work besides polish remover?

Get a bottle of un-du from walmart in the scrapbook aisle. It is a sticker remover. I use it for EVERYTHING around the house. Anytime you buy something new, they have those hard to remove stickers on them. Also great if the kids decide to place stickers on the closet doors or walls, it takes it right off.
