We're weighing up the options for next year in early October, and are considering VB or HH or both. How far is it to drive to HH? Is it do-able in one stretch for someone who fidgets a lot in the car?! Do you think we would be better going to VB for 2 weeks? Will there be enough for us - we like the beach. Any comments welcome - positive or negative.
Thanks

I've stayed at Vero Beach many times and love it, but I personally wouldn't go for more than a week - but we are definitely not beach people :) It's about a 1.5 hour drive from MCO to Vero down I95. There are plenty of threads on the US DVC boards about Vero and its hidden treasures/secrets.
Equally, Hilton Head has many, many fans on those boards. I've visited the DVC resort there, but not stayed; although I am going this October for a week, driving from Atlanta. HH is an easy drive to both Charleston and Savannah (Tip: read 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil' before you go; if you go ;) ). It's 335 miles between HH resort and Disney's OKW resort and takes around 6 hours.
The Disney VB resort (I assume that's what you are talking about?) is actually closer to Sebastian than it is to Vero itself but the resort is directly by the ocean. Disney's HH is a mile or so away from the beach - but with a shuttle bus and a beach house I believe (not visited this) - and part of it overlooks a marsh area.
Hope this helps. Anything else, just ask. :wave2:

Thanks, Moira. Not sure what to do as yet.
