Gazebo?

Quick question...when I booked my wedding a few weeks ago, I was told the Wedding Gazebo at the Yacht Club is under construction. Broke my heart! I settled on Sea Breeze Point instead. I was talking to Rev. Day tonight (What a sweet man!!!!) and he told me he is doing one there this weekend and he hadn't heard of any construction.

What have you all heard?? I even ordered our t-shirts with Sea Breeze Point on them!!! Wish I could change!!

When did you book your wedding for? My fiance and I are booking soon and just changed our minds to the gazebo! Then again, I doubt the construction will go as long as a year! I guess I will find out tomorrow or Friday!

The wedding is this July. I have an email into my coordinator so I will let you know when I get a response.

Hi! Our wedding is July 12th and we originally wanted to have our reception at the Yacht Club. Last year, our SM called us to tell us the YC was going to be under refurbishment then and they didn't know when it would be completed. So we ended up going to the GF instead. Hope that helped! Just before our wedding last October we heard that there would be construction at the Yatch Club and it might be in the Gazebo area during our wedding but we didn't see any. Im sure your co-ordinator will be able to give you a better idea.

I just heard back from Maxine. She said the gazebo is "going down" the first week of June and won't be back up until Late July or August. SOOOO my July 19th date is in the middle of that. Sea Breeze Point here we come!

Does anyone know what they are doing to the gazebo? Are they just moving it for construction space in the area, or are they changing the gazebo itsself?

The original post is over a year old. If I remember correctly they were just doing some landscaping, etc around the gazebo.

I was going to say that I was there last Aug and they were doing construction on the Yacht Club , good investigating Ashley- there would have been a bunch of flipped out girls here!

LOL! I saw May 21 and did not pay attention to the year. I did a search of the forum for the word "gazebo" to try to get info and pics.

yeah i was there in May and it looks like all the did was general refurb on the Yacht Club, re painted etc and spruce up some of the landscaping around the gazebo.
