In an effort to cut down on my soda intake, I've reduced the number of sodas to one per day w/dinner. However when I eat lunch, I just can't have plain water. Is Gatorade ok to drink? Is it bad for trying to lose weight?

GatorAde is loaded with sugar!!! If you can tolerate it, try Fruit 2-0. It is flavored water and actually tastes great. Sweetened with Splenda.

Thanks! any other suggestions, other than just plain water? I don't drink coffee or tea, so thats not something I'd have (even though not sure if I should anyway).

Propel isn't as bad at gatorade, which is loaded with sugar and sodium. If you're going to drink gatorade you might as well keep drinking soda...unless you're working out on your lunch break ;)
I understand about not liking water, but hang in there, and good for you trying to cut back on soda!
Back in March I went a whole month w/o soda, and only allowed myself water. It was amazing how my skin cleared up..I went back to soda, but now I only allow myself one a week.

I like my water with lots of ICE.
You can always try to dilute juices with water--so you aren't drinking all sugar.

Gatorade is not great for you when you just want something to drink, but it's excellent if you're getting dehydrated...even better than water because it replaces the sodium your body has lost (in fact, doctors and sports therapists recommend gatorade over water in these cases). Gatorade is really good when you're working out, for example...or you're out when it's hot outsidee (i.e. WDW in the summer). That's why it's called a sports drink. :)

V8 Splash fruit juices come in sugar free versions, sweetened with Splenda! I like the tropical the best! :flower:

The crystal light drink mixes are also good. You can get a variety of flavors and they don't have all the sugar.
