pin sale at disney direct - please read

sorry if this is a double post. I tried using the code THUMPER2005 when I ordered the pins at disney direct to get 10% off. It did not work but I placed the order anyway because the pins sell out very fast. I just called disneydirect and they are going to credit my account for the 10%. She does not know why the code did not take but I thought I would pass this info on.

I couldn't get the code to work either. Boy, the pins do sell quickly. The ones I ordered Monday afternoon were no longer available this morning, but there was a "new" Jiminy Cricket one available that I didn't see the other day so I ordered it. I am new to pin collecting, so this was a good way to start my collection.

I went to the pin sale site as soon as I received their email, but I couldn't register (remembered my password, but not my registered name) ..so I thought I'd be smart and just leave the shopping cart on my computer for two days...but when I went back ,the cart said 0 and almost all the pins I had tried to order on Monday were GONE.

I found some new ones today though...so I did what you did and called and they will give me the discount. Yippee!

Since a bunch of pin traders might check out your post...I'm looking to finish my resort pin collection and just need Old Key West and Beach Club. So if anyone has one of those and would like to trade, I just got back from Disney and have a bunch of cute ones I traded for that you might like!

I noticed a few hours ago that they added a bunch of new pins to the site.
I ordered some, never did the code to work.
I called them directly, but the lady I spoke to told me I couldn't get the 10% off because the pins were considered clearance merchandise. I can only get the 10% off of full priced merchandise.
Oh well. I'm glad to be getting the pins even without the 10% discount.

I've been trying to resist, but since you all said they added new pins, I had to check. My wallet is now lighter and my lanyard heavier. They had added a bunch of Tink pins so I had to get them.

Right before the sale I ordered a bunch of pins from the Character warehouse and then I ordered some more when I heard about the sale. So I promised myself I would not buy anymore. And then I go and read this thread and I just had to check out the new pins. Guess what, I bought some more pins :sad2: shopping online is way too easy :earboy2:
