$209 per week minivan from Dollar--can it be beat?

I know Priceline can beat this price at times, but I have been rejected in all my bids so far this trip. We have to have a minivan.

when you say week is that for 7 days? or 5 days or 6 days? once you hit 5 days they consider that a week! we got ours from them for 39.99 a day. that was the best rate I have been able to come up with.

Belle, I think it is a great rate. The cheapest in the last three years I've gotten a minivan for is $199.99 plus tax. I would say you got a great deal. $209 is what we paid with Dollar for a minivan spring break this past March when all the other companies were quoting $300+. With tax, it ended up running about $250. We have never had any problems renting from Dollar - am a Fastlane member and the in and out is quick! Enjoy.

Are the minivans from Dollar the Grand Caravan or the regular Caravan?

musical2, the last one we rented (son's spring break in March) was a Grand Caravan but I don't recall now if it has always been the Grand or not. I had a minivan from Dollar in Ft. Lauderdale the first week of March (girls' spring break) and I don't think it was a Grand Caravan. Sorry - guess it's my age. :D
