What's the luau at RPR like?

Hi,
I have a son who'd love to stay at HRH and a daughter that would love the RPR. One thing is that we'll be going in August 2005 and we'll be there over a weekend, so I'd like to learn more about the Luau. Is it extra $$? Is it only for guests at RPR or can HRH guests go? :banana:
**Sorry if this question seems silly, but I'm somewhat of a Disney "expert" :earsgirl: but we've never been to Universal, so if we're paying the big $$$ to stay onsite at Universal, I want to get my $$ worth!!

I can't answer your question, but we are hoping to go to the Luau as well during our trip in Oct. You can google search "Wantilan Luau" for info. I'm watching the Clear Channel web site. The RPR luau occasionally comes up on the Clear Channel gift certificates, but you have to be quick to grab one. They go fast. Guess that means the food is good!

Anyone can go to the laua. It doesn't matter where you stay. It does cost to go and it is rather expensive just like the one at WDW's Polynesian resort. But hey, you're on vacation!

we went to the Luau last year and it was just ok. Nothing spectacular. Pricey.

I actually just got the info myself and it is 49.50 per adult and 29.50 for kids. Very pricey if you ask me. The kids menu also has like mac n cheese, etc.
