Portofino Bay Garden View?

I have extended my business trip next week to include two nights at Portofino Bay with a Garden view.

Can anyone recommend a building or area I should request when checking in? It will be DW and myself for the weekend, and we'll be moving over from a Deluxe at Hard Rock (which are the same size I'm told).

I can do a bay view for $20 more - is it worth the extra money for this view?

I would ask for a room in the west wing. It is closest to the pool and boat. I would keep the garden view and ask for an upgrade at check-in. If its quiet you stand a good chance. The room is the same. Good Luck and have fun!

Definitely go with the west wing. Not only is it the most convenient but the garden view rooms there have views of the beach pool. If you were to get a garden view room in the east wing, you would overlook landscaping and whatnot. Like JessicaR said, it can't hurt to ask for an upgrade to a bay view or deluxe at check-in. They are usually more than happy if they have the extra rooms.
