Who is going in Jan 2006??

Just curious how many are there that are planning on going to WDW in Jan 2006. Have you made your reservations yet? Or when do you plan on making them? Anyone gone this time of year and remember what the weather was like? Not so much worried about packing for myself. But was thinking I may have to buy ds(will be 2.5) clothes specifically for our trip since it will much colder here in Missouri in January than there.

we are planning on going jan. 22 - jan. 28 '06 and staying at GF. we haven't booked yet because i am waiting until i can book a package. we were down there the same time last yr. and the weather was beautiful. it was cool in the mornings and evenings so you need sweatshirts or jackets. we did swim since we had nonstop sunshine and the pools are so warm. we thought it was perfect park weather -- never so warm that we broke a sweat. just perfect for walking around all day. we always started out with capris, t-shirts and sweatshirts, and by noon we had taken of the sweatshirts. we didn't really wear shorts. BUT it has been known to get very cold that time of year sometimes. i believe this january was very cold in orlando. i am just planning on checking the extended forecast and playing it by ear.

when are you going and where are you staying? did you book yet?

Thanks!! I believe we are renting a villa, I haven't sent the booking form in yet, because I am having a hard time convincing DH that it is okay to book this early :wave: I'm already so excited about going, we are going the 16-23rd, so we will just be missing you all. Well, that helps about the clothing, I was just wondering if ds would need shorts and such that fit for January.

We are going January 3-17 and probably staying at the Comfort Inn Maingate EAst. We were there last year Jan5-18 and the weather was awesome until the last three days. The temperatures were in the low 80's everyday. We enjoyed Blizzard Beach and the hotel pool. We have went 12 times in early January and once late January. Most years we have had ok weather, but 3 times we have had terrific weather and once it was really cold for most of our stay.

Enjoy the low crowds and ok weather.

DH and I are going for Marathon Weekend from 1/6-1/9. We were there this past January from 1/6-1/18 and the weather was unusually warm. Temps in the 80's all but two days. I would pack for all extremes.

We are going 1/13 to 1/22 and have everything booked except our universal hotel and that is only because the dates are not available yet. We will be staying at the boardwalk for the first time.
