Does anyone know of places that would deliver groceries to Saratoga Springs? (Preferably with a website) I can order from Saratoga Springs, but everything seems so expensive. We have a kitchenette, so I want to try to save a bit of money by having food in the room...Thanks!

I've used netgrocer.com and have been very happy with them! They don't deliver perishables though. We used them for bottled water, crackers, cookies, breakfast cereal, pop tarts, granola bars, etc.

We just used wegoshop.com a couple weeks ago. The service was great. She was right on time. We got snacks, breakfast stuff and coldcuts along with a case of water bottles. She also picked up wine for us.. I will definately use them again. It was much better than wasting time in the grocery store!

I've settled on wegoshop.com, thanks to everyone's advice. Now I just don't know what grocery store to select...Is anybody familiar with Shaw's or Hannaford's/Shop N Save and know a comparable grocery store that they have in Florida? If you're not familiar with those, they're large grocery stores and almost anything you can buy also comes in "store brand". Anything Similar in the WDW area? Thanks!

I too am a huge fan of WeGoShop. You might email Becca and ask her about the store selections? I know she went to Sam's once for us.

You are welcome. Becca is a nice lady. What I especially like about their service is they will purchase wine, they will buy any name brand of anything you request, they will buy perishables and they deliver right to your door. And, no matter how much you spend, all they charge is the flat fee. I do, however, tip extra if I have a large order or if they have had to make 2 stops. :wave2:

Do they have delivery hours, I guess what I'm trying to figure out is how late and how early will they deliver?

Well, they are definitely not your average 9-to - 5 operation. I've had them deliver at 7:30 at night and at 8 a.m. Just depends on our schedule, their schedule and their beautiful baby Tyler!!!!!! They will work their hardest to accomodate you. Usually Becca gives me some choices and then I pick the time I like most. These are nice, honest, hardworking, folks who do a great job :sunny:

Do they charge extra if you want them to do 2 stops? (besides the extra tip) :sunny:

How do I plan this out....

I'm about 40 days away from Disney,

When do I fill out the form?
How much 'shouldn't' I buy? (How much can I fit in the fridge?)
(theres five of us in the poly)
What time do I tell them to deliver? (taking magical express)
Where do I tell them to deliver? (I dont know what room yet?)

Did I forget anything?

thanks

I just used wegoshop.com and was very pleased! Delivery was right on time and she was very pleasant to work with! She explained about the one substitution she had to make and everything else was exactly as ordered. We placed our order 1 week in advance and called her with our room # when we checked in. It was that easy! The best part is that we didn't waste precious vacation time in a grocery store! :flower:

We also put our order in about a week ahead of time. The fridge is small. Its the size of the small square dorm refrigerators. She asks that you call her when youcheck in know your room number. She was so quick I didn't get the chance to call and she was calling from the lobby to ask us what our room number was. We also had her bring a styrofoam cooler that we loaded with ice and water bottles. I would definately use them again!

I love the idea of this service! I think we will use it and your idea about the additional styrofoam cooler. I just wondered, do all of the hotels that now have fridges standard in the rooms still have ice machines or will I need to include ice in my grocery order? We are staying at the CBR, if anyone knows for certain about that resort, even better :-) Thanks!

I try to place my order as soon as I book my room, especially if I will be there during a holiday time. That way you are guaranteed they will make time for you. Another thing I have learned to do is ask them to deliver the morning after we arrive - 1st day there we are excited/exhausted/ready to get out and go!!!! I also have them purchase wine for me - the more time I can give them to shop the better prices they have come up with. And, I too request a styrofoam cooler. Just can't say enough how much we love them

We had here bring us a styrofoam cooler and it was perfect to store water in! We will definitely use the service on our next trip!

I would assume all the resorts will keep the ice machines. Don't know for sure about CBR but Wilderness Lodge still does.

Just FYI, I went to wegoshop.com for my upcoming trip to Disney World and this is what was on the page for Disney world resorts:

Please Note: This WeGoShop.com Branch office will be closed and no services will be available from July 29th, 2005 through August 7th, 2005. Services will resume during our normal hours on August 8th, 2005.

Any other suggestions for deliveries which include perishables??

Does anyone know if FQ has an ice machine?I never even gave that a thought until I read this thread, also if you order from one of these grocery delivery services do you pick the brand names?Do you need to be in the room if you order alcohol or will the leave it in the lobby if you have prepaid?
Thanks!!! :)

:sad2: We're in the same boat, unfortunately it appears the folks at wegoshop are taking their vacation at the same time we are...(what are the odds?). Anyone have any alternatives (besides netgrocer)?
TIA

I think I tipped 20% on top of the delivery charge. They were wonderful and very helpful

I believe, Albertson has a pick up service. You order your groceries and then, you pick it up. They do the shopping. You'd need a car or limo ride though.
