View Full Version : How easy to add to PI?

As I'm watching ESPN's Bowling Night (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc, stars in a retro bowling competition), I think "Why doesn't PI have something like this?" Some sort of bar/bowling alley/pop-a-shot hybrid. Is there really any spot to add-on over there? It just seems like a natural fit for that place. Aside from the new Irish Pub taking the place of the Jazz Club and a couple of shops changing around, what else has really been done to PI lately? It just seems like just a natural place to not only keep people from going over to citywalk at night, but to also draw in the locals.

PI is going through a club rotation that much I know. BET and the Beach Club are both going away to make room for what I don't know. I also heard that Disney is trying to scale down the size of the clubs so that they are more intimate and can fill the dance floors on non-CM nights and Fri-Sat. During the week PI is a ghost town. I did hear a rumor that the Beach Club would be turing into a roller rink or bowling alley. Don't know about the roller rink personally, drunks on wheels don't sound too safe. :tilt:
Kinda excited to see what Disney comes up with. Honestly right now I'm kinda 'eh' about PI. Been there, done that. In my home town we have the largest nightclub in America so everything at PI I've seen before.
I would love a latin club though. I had a blast at the Latin Quarter at CityWalk last summer. EVERYBODY SALSA! ! ! :dancer:

Beach Club was originally a Roller Rink. The idea was quickly phased out so I can't imagine them going back to it.
There hasn't been a decent house band at the Beach Club in years. The place was really popular 10 years ago but it's probablly time for a change. It's a great concept that could still work but I think the venue is just too big now that everyone is in Motion.
What original concepts are still in play? The Comedy Club, The Jazz Club is original but IMO should have been changed years ago. Mannequins which at one time was hugely popular with CMs but was pretty dead the last time I was there. What about the Adventures Club? It is empty the last time I was there and I heard they phased out some of the cast...true?

Jazz Club is now gone, replaced with an Irish Pub opening soon.

Is the Adventurer's Club still open? It's been since I think 1996 since I was in there, and I don't remember it from the last time we were at PI back in 2001.

The AC was still there in 2003, and I haven't heard anything about it closing...
