Is it best to get your tickets for the space centre over here or once you get over there :confused3 And can you drive there yourself and then take a tour on a bus down to the shuttle launch pad :confused3

Thanks michelle

Not sure if it's cheaper to get tickets here or when you are there but I bought mine before we went. Having said that, most people were paying on the day.
We drove to the Space Center from Orlando and its easy. From the I4 take the 528 to the center. It's well sign posted.
Once there ,there are plenty of exhibits to look at.
The bus tour takes you around the center and you get off at various points and have a look around then get on the bus and move to the next stop and so on.
The nearest you get to the shuttle ( which was on the launch pad when we were there 2 weeks ago, but they might be taking it off soon) is about a mile or so away but you can see it ok.

We bought our tickets when we got to the gate - there's a helpful employee for each line checking if you know what you want and explaining the options so by the time you get to the window you know what to ask for :goodvibes

One tip - go to the furthest stop FIRST - we had a long wait from there back to the centre, so if you do it first you may find a shorter wait to move on.

Tip 2 - The very big shop at the start does NOT stock everything you see at the other shops at the other 2 stops. Check it out before you leave the main section, as my nephew wanted a special Lego set he saw at one shop whcih was not available in the big shop, and DH saw a jacket he liked but decide to wait to look at the full range :sad2:
