I am getting closer to 90 days before my WDW trip in August and have began looking at some resteraunts where we might want to dine...

Does anyone have a list or know of a list of resteraunts where there is "no deposit required" for PS seating?

Also, does anyone know if you have the Disney Dining package, does that cover the deposit for the resteraunts that require them for PS seating?

And finally, are the deposits more of a promisary note ( basically pre-approved permission to charge if you dont show up ) or are they paid immediately and taken off your final bill if you do show up?

Disney rookies here, so be kind... :confused3

My Cinderella's deposit ($10 per adult, $5 per child) was taken immediately. Akershus, and Fantasmic Dining Package which also required credit card have not been charged yet. I believe you are charged a deposit even when you have the dining plan, and that deposit is credited it the time they charge your dining plan. But someone correct me on that if I am mistaken. Most restauarnts do not require deposits or credit card info. Its mainly the very hard to get Cinderella's (and now Princess Storybook is becoming difficult and thus requiring a deposit too), and the packages like Fantasmic Dining, etc. We have 12 PS, including other character meals, for a ten day trip and only those three mentioned needed a deposit. HTH.

The Fantasmic Dinner Package does not charge you a deposit. They only charge if you are a no show.

CRT and PSB do charge a deposit $10A $5C.

But other than that they don`t need your CC. They don`t even take your CC for holidays anymore according to Deb Will`s site.

The Princess Storybook dinner, only requires a hold on the CC, they have nothing charged or pending on my CC, the CM told me is was a hold the PS thing when I asked him about when placing the PS. Also, if I remember correctly they didn't charge for the storybook breakfast last year, just a "no-show" hold thing, but then that was last year could have changed this year.

This is the same thing I was going to say only I don't have a CC and they told me that was fine not needed.

Thanks so much for the info...

I would just hate putting down a bunch of non-refundable deposits because you never know what is going to happen...

As a side question, most of what I have heard is that exactly at your 90 day point from your first day is the time to make your PS reservations. Do most of you find this pretty accurate? I have also heard that you should probably call first thing in the morning on the 90th day before your trip to help to insure that you get the PS reservation you want...I am wondering if its 90 days from the first day of your trip or 90 days from when you actually want to use the reservation which could be a day to 6 days from within my total vacation time?

The deposits are refundable if you cancel 24 hours prior to your PS time.

Requires full payment when booked. In Feb they canceled the show we were going to attend on the day we arrived. Held up $200 on my cc while waiting for it to come back as a credit and then I had to put another $200 on it to go to the show the next night.

90 days from when you are dining. It all depends on what you want to eat. If its a princess breakfast or now lunch yes then call when they open at 7am otherwise anytime during the day you should be ok. I go in Sept and except for CRT & PSB I call at a later time in the day like 3 and get the times I want. It may be different during busier times of the year.

Just another tidbit that I didn't see answered:

If you are using your Dining Plan options for the meal, tell them when you make your PS. If it's something that requires a deposit (like Cindy's breakfast), or a full payment (like the Hoop Dee Doo), they will take a cc guarantee only. They will not charge your card at the time, but if you don't show, or cancel within the 24 hour policy, they will then charge your card the applicable amount. HTH!! :flower:
