Windsor Palms town home

Was wondering if anyone has stayed at Windsor Palms' townhome (booked thru orlando vacation homes) on Rte. 192. So far we've had a great experience in dealing with them. Not sure how Rte. 192 is though with traffic......

it was lovely. The development is very nice, with a lovely pool. Our condo was great.

We had absolutely no traffic to the parks. It is just down the street from the former Splendid China. Plenty of restaurants (including Giordano's for pizza) right nearby and lots of fastfood on the way.

I think you'll enjoy it very much.

Great area for the parks and restaurants. We have been staying in the area the last 5 times we have been down and will be there again in Sept. we are in EIR. just as nice a resort. Traffic is usually fine when we have been down there. The other end of 192 where we go to Sams club and super walmart is usually congested.

You don't really have to travel 192 at all. You can go up to 192 by Splendid China, make a right and then a left at the next light onto Sherberth road. This takes you to Disney property near AKL. Go right at the light to get to the parks. Double check that because my memory hasn't been so great lately.

We stayed in a townhouse here in 2003. It was very spacious & convenient!

Gillian- yes those are the right directions to the back entrance, it is definately an easy, quick way to get to the parks

We have stayed at Windsor Palms a couple of times & are staying there again next month. I love it. Great neighborhood, kids love the huge pool, located near anything you need. You will love it!

I am going to ask my Uncle, who is a police officer in Orlando, for exact directions from the Palms to Disney. It is awesome to know that I can get there without taking I-4.

How old are your twins? We will be there 5/13-5/22. I have DS4 & DS7. They will love it there! I feel like we are coming home every time we go. I have told my DH that I am going to take "squatter's rights" in the condo & never leave!

TiffJ - my girls are almost three (free free free at Disney!). We are renting a townhome. Have you ever checked in early (before 3 pm) at WP? We will be there 5/17-5/23.

You can always ask if you arrive early if they have yours ready. we have been lucky almost every time. All but once we could not check in early.

We will be staying at Windsor Palms for the 1st time from May 16-22. We are excited as my kids (DD9, DS8, DD6) have never been to WDW.
