I usually cross at Lewiston/Queenston because I like to stop at the Tops grocery store on Niagara Falls Blvd. The most direct route is to take the QEW to Fort Erie and take the 190 to I90 East. Exit#51 - route 33 to airport.

They have great maps and directions on their website.

Keep in mind that the Queenston/Lewiston Bridge is currently under construction with severe lane restrictions.

Thanks for the advice, Neil - I wasn't aware of the construction and we're heading down to fly out of Buffalo on May 12.

So it may just take a little longer then . Should I still go this way or should I go across at another border crossing? We are headed to Buffalo tomorrow.
thanks Diane

The Peace Bridge is at the end of the Q.E.W. Just stay on the QEW all the way past Niagara Falls for about another 30km and you'll arrive at the bridge.
From someone who makes many many trips to Buffalo in a year, the Peace Bridge is by far the better bridge to cross at, especially if you're going to the airport.

The Peace Bridge is the easiest place to cross, in my opinion. There was some construction there last week, because they are switching the toll booths from the American to the Canadian sides, so I think it is supposed to be done soon. There are grocery stores around the airport that you can stop at besides that one Tops.

From the Peace Bridge, stay right and take the 190. This will take you past downtown Buffalo. There will be a split and you will take the 90 to the left going towards the airport and Albany. To stop at a grocery store, you can get off at the first Walden Ave exit and there is a Wegman's on the right. The Galleria mall will be on your left. If you prefer Tops, there is one on the left hand side of the road on Union. You can then continue up to Union Rd (next big intersection) and turn left. Continue on Union to Genesee (there is a Church called Our Lady Help of Christians on the corner). Turn right and you will be on the same rd as the airport (Genesee St). Turn left at the second signal.

To not stop at a grocery store, continue on the 90 until the 33. Take this to the end and you will just have to go straight into the airport parking lot at the signal.

When I cross at the Peace Bridge, I follow the sign to I-190 S. After a few miles you will merge on I-90 E via exit 1-52 on the LEFT toward BUFFALO AIRPORT/ALBANY. Then Merge onto 33 E via EXIT 51 E toward AIRPORT.

Hi there! :earsboy:

We're flying out of Buffalo on the 12th at 11:20 a.m. and arrive in Orlando at 4:05 p.m. We'll be staying for two nights at the POR and then moving to AKL for 2 nights before we fly home on the 16th.

We also decided to stay overnight on the 11th in Buffalo instead of driving down in the morning so we don't have to stress about border delays. We recently adopted a baby from Korea, so crossing the border with him will be more time consuming, so we thought we'd play it safe.

We are also coming home on the 16th ~ we leave on the non-stop flight at 11am :)

Enjoy your first trip to WDW with your new baby! Congratulations!
