View Full Version : Assure me I picked okay

So, I booked our room for August yesterday. After calling several places and being told there were no entertainment rates available, I called the Carousel Inn. They had no standard rooms available, but offered me a view suite that sleeps 8 for $159 a night. We have 5 adults and really did not want to have to share beds if we didn't have to so we were looking at 2 rooms anywhere and I wasn't coming close to that rate at anywhere that didn't get bad reviews on the travel sites.
So, basically, will I be happy at the Carousel Inn in that room or should I keep looking? The pictures looked great and it looks like there is enough room for everyone without being overly crowded.
Also, how long of a walk is it to the parks from the Carousel?

The Carousel Inn is a pretty popular choice for the Disneyland Resort - it is very close to the Pedestrian Walkway that leads to the park entrances. I think you picked a good choice. You might want to do a search on Carousel Inn for this board & you'll get some reviews.

Love the Carousel Inn. I have not stayed in a view suite, but their other suites are nice. From what I understand, you'll want to ask for the highest floor which I believe is 4. You'll overlook the main entrance plaza and the parks.

My sister stayed at the Carousel a couple of years ago with my nieces and BIL. It was a clean, nice sized, comfortable room. The rooftop pool was small and the continental breakfast was lacking (aren't they all??) but, they were happy there and the staff was excellent. You're not getting the Ritz Carlton but, you're getting a nice, clean, comfy place. Don't worry at all.

My parents stayed there and the only complaint they had was the maid leaving the blinds/shutters open and those walking by being able to see into their room.
We are staying there in July for the first time.
