Newbie Hello from New Jersey [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

:wave: from New Jersey!

I'm a bride2be getting married in September on the 10th. My fiance' and I choose to go on a WDW Honeymoon!!! We'll be flying out September 12th for an early morning flight and flying out later in the evening on the 18th. We will be staying at POR.

This will be the 2nd time for me to be in WDW. The last time I visited was back in 1997 and I never stayed in a WDW resort before; this will be my first. This will be my fiance's first time visiting WDW and I'm excited to bring him and have him share in the fun! :teeth:

As you can see, I've been lurking a bit. Actually, I just came across this site yesterday afternoon, did some reading and decided I had to join! I am so glad I did. This site is great!

I look forward to speaking with all of you and hopefully learning how to make the best out of our WDW Honeymoon. :love:

Welcome. Its good to see an fellow NJ poster!! I too am in S Jersey.

POR is nice, we stayed there on our 2002 trip. My kids loved the pool. We started staying on Disney Property in 2000. In our family there is no way we would ever stay anywhere else but a Disney property. Its an obsession. To us its so worth it.

3Mickey - If you don't mind my asking, whereabouts in South Jersey. It's always great to meet fellow SJersians on the net.

Question for anyone: How do I get my wedding ticker in my signature line? I've tried the html link (with the html code on posting rules off with no way of changing it) and it's not working :sad2:

Mt Laurel area:earsboy: . Where are you located?

I actually can't remember how to set up the ticker.:confused3 I had a heck of a time setting mine up. I know there is a special URL to copy for the Disboard are you copying the correct one? I am blonde and sooo not good at giving computer directions. Sorry.

Mt. Laurel, huh? I'm not that far from there. I actually used to work up there right off of Rt. 73. I live over in Glassboro a little ways up past Rowan University.

As for the ticker, i've been using the same code for all my other forums and they seem to work just fine. However, you mention this disboard. I don't know what you're talking about with this aspect. :confused3

I belong to ezboard forum as well and when I set up my ticker there I had to do something different but can't remember what it was. Sorry. I just tried to go back and look into it but I can't figure it out.

Maybe someone else can chim in and help with your ticker. ANYONE??

I am familiar with Glassboro. One of my coworkers use to work there.

I figured it out! :cool1: I found the technical support forum here and found the ticker link. :) You were right, it is a different code required for this forum. Learn something new every day ;)

Hi SunshineKathie! And Congratulations on your wedding - it's going to be here before you know it! I'm another NJ person. We live up north in Sussex County - Lake Tranquility. When I first got married we lived in Lindenwold off the White Horse Pike. I taught at St. Jude's Reg. School in Blackwood - on the Black Horse Pike. Small world! Alot of my students lived in Sicklerville. Not too far from you. You're going to like POR. We stayed there. Just about every hotel on sight is great! My DD & I went on the Backstage tour last year - a girl on the tour was getting married at WDW, so when we went to the Disney Florist they told her to get some hidden Mickey's put into her bouquet. You take 3 pearl corsage pins, put them together to make a mickey head and stick them into a rose or whatever flowers you're having. It's really pretty! Lots of luck with everything! :bride: :groom:
